Reason why your character should be chosen: Iridessa has always loved flying ever since her first year. She loves the thrill of flying through the air and being totally free, bird like. She took to brooms easily, and she is a great flyer. What else was she to do in a world where women were looked down upon? Iridessa is a huge feminist and believe strongly that men are equal to women, so what better way than to be on the Quidditch Team? Plus, Iridessa is a true fighter. She fights for what she wants, and that would make a good asset for the Quidditch team.
RP sample:

Iridessa flew on her broom downwards, the wind catching her braided hair and whipping it behind her. She was going straight at the ground, watching it get bigger and bigger and bigger, until she forced herself up right before she crashed. A smile fell upon her lips as she went to a goal post and flew around it, still searching. She was sure that she saw something shiny on her way down... The girl bit her lip, scanning the area and then a shune of goald appeared again, but it seemed the other seeker saw it too. Iridessa raced after him, her arm outstreched, just like his. She inched forwards, her fingers inches away from the golden trophy. Closer... Closer... Closer...

[Sander Alois Malfoy]

Reason why your character should be chosen: Sander always prefers the solo missions. He has the ability to close off all that's happening around him and go for his goal. This is for the better because Sander lacks the skills to work as a team. At first his selections may have gone rough because he likes to play the boss even when he isn't team captain. The thing is Sander doesn't care for his team, all he thinks about is winning and he always choose to catch the snitch at the best time.

Perhaps he may not be the first pick but it could cause some interesting Role Play moments. As well as some character development.
RP sample: Sander flew higher than the game that was taking place. Being up here made him feel free, the wind was rushing through his hair(the only thing he hated about Quidditch was that it'd mess up his hair) and the yells of supporters was below him and almost unable to be heard. However he was not relaxed, he was focused. His grey eyes would catch the small golden ball, he was sure. Seeing nothing here, he flew a little further, all the while keeping an eye on the enemy seeker. He had to win, he had to be part of the better team. Sander was sick and tired of being set off as the loony house. Not even his own family took him seriously. The only thing he got was money and impersonal gifts. No today he'd fly faster than the other seeker on the broom his parents bought him. It was the latest model and it was perfect. There was no way he'd lose!

Small and nimble she loves to fly and has great hand eye coordination.
RP sample:

Peyton walked into the gate area where her team awaited the start of the game.  She stood with millions of things running through her mind.  Who was playing on the other team, what her captain was shouting at the team to pump them up, but Peyton was in her own head.  It was her first year out on the pitch and at first she felt like she would be sick to her stomach till she felt the hand of the upperclassman chasers hand on her shoulder and she sighed knowing that if she didn't have what it took then she wouldn't be on the team.  

The door opened and they mounted their brooms and took flight onto the field and that's when it hit her.  The people she didn't want watching her fail.  The flight that she loved.  The fresh air.  She took a few laps and a decent speed and got together with her team to get the last of their plan straightened out.

Reason why your character should be chosen: John needs somewhere to work off his energy. He's over all very active and very social, which is why he'd do good in a team.
RP sample: Another day that was exceptionally bright to Jonathan found the Hufflepuff strolling through the castle, his broom shouldered. When he reached the grounds he made an effort to make the golden leaves under his boots rustle beautifully, a sound one had to hear in the autumn in his opinion. Entering the pitch he waved towards his younger sister before he mounted his broom and flew over to the coach. This year he'd get chosen for the team, he decided, he was about to start his fourth year so in his eyes it was about time. He was looking forward to it very much.
The warm up worked out nicely. He didn't make a fool out of himself and as far as he could see there was nobody trying out who would use ellbows to get on the team. Hopefully they'd have lots of fun even now before anyone got chosen.

John caught the quaffle the captain had thrown, all but surprising himself as he hadn't seen the ball coming. It took him a second to get his orientation back before he turned towards the goal posts, tossing the quaffle between his hands and, after making eye contact, throwing it to another player, who didn't carry a club around. It didn't take long and he got the quaffle back. With a big smile but a firm and steady arm he threw the red ball through one of the hoops. He couldn't have failed if he'd tried as he was so close, but it was still a great feeling. This would be a great year if he got chosen.

Reason why your character should be chosen:
Trev's not too great on a broomstick, he can hold his own though, it's not his flying skills which will have gotten him onto the team but his arms. The blacksmiths son is very, very strong and is more than a match for a bludger.
He's used to using tools and weapons and the beaters bat is no different, Trev's aim is true and he hits hard.
Trev never intended to try out for the team, but being friends with the captain hash it's perks (or not) Almir forced him to try out, and Trevor can't say no to a friend.
RP sample: Trev was still grumbling as he followed his team onto the field. He kicked off hard Fromm he ground, his school broom accelerating half as quickly as all the others and wobbling a bit under him. He helf the bat in one hand, resting it on hiss holder as he watched the game begin, he and Almir had a plan to protect their team, he went to the far left and looked out over the field to see what was happening, Gryffindor was in possession of the Quaffle and Trev could see the bludger were heading for th other teams beaters. He flew towards their chasers, just in time to give the bludger a mighty whack towards the keeper, the Quaffle was in the goal circle so the move was legal.
The hit was so hard he slipped from his broom but caught himself and straightened in time to seen had happened.
