Rosanna Prudence Selwyn (Parkinson)
Age: 24
Relationship Status: Married
Husband: Insert Name Selwyn (41)
Blood Status: Pureblood
Children: Stepson (17)
Bit of History: Rose and Bella became friends on the train ride to Hogwarts during their first year. Though Rossana was sorted into Slytherin and Arabella into Hufflepuff, the two girls stuck close to one another for six years. When Bella's father went to Azkaban, Rose was writing to her constantly over the break and then defended her when school resumed from the scorn of others. Both protected one another like sisters would, not allowing anyone to say something that would slight the other without getting a word in. Sometimes, the two found themselves under the scrutiny of their Professors for words they'd spoken in defense of one another, but Bella usually managed to get them out of trouble without any punishment by playing up the victim act.
They were so close that Bella spent most of her breaks after the arrest of her father at Rose's home, treated as if she were another child to the family. It seemed their friendship would continue forever until they reached sixth year. Rose had begun to focus on a prosperous marriage, one that would elevate her family and provide her with a life of luxury. Though Bella was disturbed by Rose's goals, she supported her friend's pursuit of a possible courtship. What she had not counted on was Rose ending up engaged to a man 17 years her senior, already previously widowed and with one child. Afraid for her friend's future, Bella urged Rose to not marry the man, saying that she deserved better. But Rose did not see it this way. Marrying an older male, who'd already established himself seemed a good choice to her.
Not completing her education, Rose dropped out of Hogwarts to marry her husband. Bella kept in contact with her through letters, though Rose's letters became few and sparse. Eventually, they stopped coming at all. It came as a surprise to Bella that she received a letter from Rose upon her graduation, congratulating her on her completion of her education. After writing back a 'thank you' letter in which she asked after Rose's well-being, it was two months later before Bella received another letter from her former best friend.

After writing back a 'thank you' letter in which she asked after Rose's well-being, it was two months later before Bella received another letter from her former best friend.
The second letter she received after so many years asked whether she was yet engaged and mentioned, that if not, Rose had found her a suitable match in the form of her own father-in-law. Appalled at the prospect of marrying such an elder man, Bella wrote back rejecting the offer, saying that she would rather never marry than marry a man so many years her elder. Letters between the two continued for a while after, each side became cruel and vicious with their words, bringing up past events that were hurtful for both.
They now have a very bad relationship, though neither has spoken to the other, even in the form of a letter, in a year. I'd like to have them meet up again, as I can see them starting off with a very strong anger towards one another, then to a love-hate relationship, before finally reconciling. Because, the friendship that was once there, though now dormant, still remains and can be revived.
