I don't see it having caused major panic in Scotland (location of Hogwarts), as it seemed centered more in England as well as northern France and Belgium. Perhaps a news article could be mentioned on it? Or those characters living close to the area could have something to say about it? It lasted 20 seconds. I'm not sure if it's much cause for a grand rp thread centered around it. But I could see Daily Prophet characters writing on it...only we have none.

Twenty seconds is a long time for an earthquake. Also, we could say that because of the magical wards around the castle, the students could have felt it more.
We can be super creative if we want.

And, they are young students....imagine the first years! The older kids would be okay, but the 11 and 12 year olds would be like "Oh Merlin! THe world is ENDING!"

I think that would be a fun plot to play. We could have some families have houses damaged in the earthquake as well.
