Elsa Lovie Blake
NAME: Elsa Lovie Blake
AGE: 12
SOCIAL CLASS: Lower
RELATIONSHIP STATUS: Single
PLAY-BY: Sophie Nélisse
BlOOD STATUS: Half-Blood
EYES: Blue
HAIR: Blonde
SKINTONE: Pale, though she is usually sporting rosy cheeks
HEIGHT & WEIGHT: 4'11 & 100lbs
DISTINGUISHING MARKS: She has thick eyebrows and hair that isn't opposed to several different styles.
OVERALL PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Elsa is taller than some girls her age and shorter than others, though the Matron at the orphanage has said she doesn't believe the little girl will be growing much more after she hits her teenage yes. Secretly, Elsa hopes this to be true, because she doesn't very much like dress-fittings or having to search through the pile of donated clothing at the orphanage to find something her length. She had thick, sandy brown eyebrows that don't quite seem to match her lighter blonde hair. Her eyes are a dark blue, sometimes making one question whether they are not brown instead. Yet seen under a bright light, no one could deny her true eye color. She has strong facial features, her cheekbones and jawline, that might resemble either of her parents - she isn't sure. Small, colored lips sit beneath her soft, rounded nose. Though she isn't a great fan of dresses in the way that other girls are, Elsa couldn't see herself wearing a boy's clothing unless she truly had to. She enjoys having the ladies at the orphanage pin her hair up in different styles, even if they are only beginning with their hair-styling arts.
NON-MAGICAL SKILLS: Baking is something she is still learning, though is very good at for her age. She started learning by watching the cooks as a young child, later on being invited in the kitchen of the orphanage to help make sweets by the kind ladies. Cleaning is something else she happens to be good at, always being the first one of the girls in her room at the orphanage to have her bed and the area surrounding it perfectly straight as the Matron wishes for it to be. She helps out when allowed around the orphanage and is always surprised when a bit of coin is given to her once she finishes, as her natural want to clean comes from an inborn desire, not a want for money.
MAGICAL SKILLS: Elsa does not believe herself to be particularly inclined magically, always being timid when it comes to performing in the classroom. Potions, though, is something she exceeds expectations on. It goes hand in hand with her ability to perfectly mix baking ingredients and create a scrumptious desert for children at the orphanage.
BEST/WORST CLASSES: Potions, Charms, and Herbology are her best, while Transfiguration and Defense Against the Dark Arts are her worst. She likes to think she'd do well in Care of Magical Creatures and is eager for the day when she is able to take the class.
WEAKNESSES: Emotion is Elsa's weakness, as she's found that when she becomes very upset or angry, her magic will sporadically burst, causing small incidents. She lives in fear of not being wanted nor longed for by either of her parents, or any other prospective parents for that matter. What little hope she does carry that her parents do care for her is like a fading candlelight. No matter how much someone bullies her, Elsa doesn't speak up for herself, afraid that the bullying will only become worse. Being an orphan and timid made her an easy target for those her own age and older. This has also caused the girl to tell a few white lies here and there in regards to her parents to people she wanted to befriend, hoping that they would not see through them. She doesn't trust others easily, leading to her having few, if any, friends.
STRENGTHS: Though afraid and emotional, Elsa protects herself by staying away from those who she believes would do her harm. She is careful with her words and knows how to make herself seem as if she is not standing in the room. When it comes to confronting others, she doesn't speak back, not adding fuel to the fire that has already been lit. Though she's a girl, she knows very well that she isn't unintelligent or silly like other girls, and would sooner focus on her schoolwork than put it aside to be with friends. She's good at watching others and noticing things about them that help her figure out their weaknesses or fears, though she keeps such information to herself. This ability isn't something she likes, because it makes her want to help people. Yet she can't help other people when she's unable to protect herself. In this way, she has the strength of reason. She has a weird sense of integrity and wouldn't tattle on others even when they'd done her wrong if they were going to be placed in a lot of trouble.
QUIRKS & HABITS: When lying, Elsa tends to avert eye contact often. Also, when mention of families come up, she had the habit of finding herself an excuse to exit the room before anyone can ask about hers (though she's rather sure most everyone knows she's an orphan). At times, if she becomes very angry, Elsa can lash out at others and say things she will later regret, biting her lip as she thinks upon her wrongdoing. If someone speaks to her while she is focused, they normally receive a head movement to signal she's actually listening rather than a verbal response.
OVERALL PERSONALITY DESCRIPTION: Elsa is a complex girl, to say the least. She's fearful, yet has enough bravery within her that she can write to her father, who doesn't seem to take much interest in her. Though not the type to stand up for herself, she finds herself constantly wanting to do so for others; ultimately she chooses not to. She's very conflicted as to what is right and wrong within the world, usually delegating matters in a black/white setting. Timid and quiet, she keeps to herself and out of the way of others, yet has many words constantly traveling in her head. Judgement upon others is something kept within her thoughts rather than blurted aloud.
Insightful into the nature of others, Elsa finds that she doesn't very much like people. They are cruel and greedy, caring for no one but themselves. She's very morbid in the way that she sees the world, thinking that all people try to be better than each other, yet end the same way - decomposing in a grave. She has an inclination to hone her skills with the subjects she is good at, while choosing to simply ignore the ones that do not come naturally or at least with light effort to her. One could either see her as a smart girl or lazy student by knowing this. Yet she views herself as neither. Choosing to focus on what she is best at is just the best reasoning in her opinion.

CHARACTER HISTORY: Elsa was born during the summer holidays, delivered by a Hogwarts student who'd managed to hide her pregnancy until it was time to deliver her baby. Several times she'd tried to rid herself of the child, in hopes that it would never be born, but upon feeling a sharp pain in her belly during late July, she knew that her efforts had gone to waste. Euphemia Rosier found her way to a small, dark alley in Trafalgar Square late at night while her parents conversed in a nearby home with relatives. It was a short, painful delivery, leaving the fifteen-year old covered in sweat and blood as a baby lay between her legs wailing. She sneered at it scornfully before standing on her wobbly legs, cleaning herself up, and heading back inside to rejoin her parents and their relatives.
In the wee hours of the morning, a muggle couple found the infant, face red and body cold as the husband lifted small Elsa into his arms. The two promptly took the infant to a muggle doctor, who kept her for a few days before releasing her back to the couple. Both had for a long time wanted a child, though been unable to have one. It seemed like a blessing in disguise. They took the baby back to meet the rest of the members of their traveling circus, showing her off and saying that she was their daughter, as they'd found her abandoned on the streets of London. A name was gifted upon the baby by the circus couple - Elsa, meaning "God is satisfaction", for the two believed God had answered their prayers at last. Months passed by, the couple happier than ever with their found baby as they performed across England.
Yet when Winter came and it was time for the circus to move countries once more, Elsa fell very ill. Fearing that the child would soon die and knowing she would not survive the trip overseas, the couple decided to leave her behind in London. It was inside Westminister Abbey they left her, laying a basket, wrapped snuggly inside a wool blanket that had her name stitched on it. A note was left, begging whoever found her to 'Please take care of this beautiful baby, a gift from God, and see that she is loved.' It was a wizard who found the baby, having slipped inside the church early in the morning to say a short prayer before he headed off for work. Shocked, he read the note five times before picking up the basket and apparating to St. Mungos.
The Healers that examined the baby said she'd come down with a terrible magical illness that took the lives of many babes. To the little baby's luck, she survived the illness and went on to be delivered to Blake's Orphanage, where all parentless magical babies tended to end up. It was there that she was coddled by a nursemaid and referred to often as 'Lovie', earning her second name. Growing up in the orphanage, Elsa was always waiting for the person who'd written the note left in the basket with her to return and take her back home with them, believing it had been her parents. At the age of three, she believed they'd gone on a long trip, at eight that they had somehow gotten lost in a snowstorm, and by eleven knew they were not coming back.
It wasn't a very fun experience for her, going to Hogwarts. She'd have rather stayed at the orphanage, where the people were mostly nice and she was rewarded for being a good girl. At school, she was singled out from among the crowd and bullied for her timidness and origin of being an orphan. It didn't help that she also didn't put up a fight, leaving the bullies the chance to relentlessly torment her. Yet Elsa found solace in learning. It became a goal for her, to learn all that she could while possible and then, perhaps one day, she would grow into a much stronger person.
