Mr. and Mrs. Richard Alderton are pleased to announce the engagement of their eldest daughter, Elladora Mary, to Augustus Cihangir Fawley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Micajah Fawley. The Wedding is planned to take place on January 28th St. James Roman Catholic Church, London.

Mr. Micajah Fawley is proud to annouce the impending engagement of his daughter, Eugenie Taissa Fawley, to Mehmet Aslan Çaglayan, son of Kükreme Çaglayan and the late Semiha Aysu Şamdereli. Mr. Çaglayan is a native of the Ottoman Empire and currently finds employment as a Turkish Ambassador. Miss Fawley is a former Hufflepuff, the daughter of the British Minister and late Elizabeth Bulstrode. The wedding is to be held in Istanbul; it will be a small affair with only family members attending. Let us all wish the future Mr. and Mrs. Çaglayan well.

Astridr Stensrud, wife to Wodan Stensrud, gave birth to the couple's sixth child and third son on the 17th of December in the year 1883. The newborn infant spent nearly three months at St. Mungos due to premature birth. As he has been reunited with his parents and is now at home in good health, the Stensruds would like to notify friends of the family that a Christening for Viggo Bjørn Stensrud will occur on the 7th of June in the Inverness Cathedral. Visitors are welcome by the family home to celebrate in the joy of this new life.

Lucien Pardaillan de Godrin, son of the late Steffon and Cassandra Pardaillan de Godrin, is in his last year of Hogwarts. Speculation has been made as to whether the French native will return to his home in Genovia with his older brothers or remain among the British wizarding society. The young de Godrin was first set to marry Miss Melisandre Katina Selwyn, daughter of Howard and Demetria Selwyn. Though the Selwyn family is one of respectable pureblood status and relative wealth, the engagement was unexpectedly called off. No reasons were given as to why, leaving Miss Selwyn's reputation in question. Shortly after this engagement was broken, another was arranged for the youngest de Godrin with Miss Sylvia Beaumont, daughter of Diana and Andrew Beaumont. Being that the Beaumont name is not so prominent as that of the Selwyn name, it leaves the question of whether there is something about the de Godrin boy that the Selwyn family did not find suitable for their daughter. Regardless of speculation, let us all wish Mr de Godrin and Miss Beaumont a happy future together.

Another match has been made between two soon-to-be graduates of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Mr. Rasin Stensrud, son of Wodan and Astridr Stensrud, is engaged to be married to Miss Genevieve Bordeaux, second eldest daughter to Ralph Bordeaux and Martha of Cambridge, cousin to the squib Queen Victoria. It appears to be a virtuous match between two upper-class families, joining together the Muggle Royal family with magical blood again. Perhaps we can hope for a wizard to inherit the throne once more? Only time will tell, but for now, well wishes are offered to both Mr. Stensrud and Miss Bordeaux. May they have a fruitful marriage.

The Prophet is proud to announce that our very own Sir Jaques de Lafayette has found a match for his eldest daughter, Renée de Lafayette. Her mother, the late Cecile de Lafayette, would have surely been delighted over these news. The young de Lafayette is set to become a Chevalier, her husband-to-be being Sir Marquis Chevalier, aged twenty-four, the eldest son of Marcel and Annette Chevalier. Though not a well-known house among our wizarding community, the Chevaliers have managed to hold a considerable amount of wealth to be held among the middle-class. Young Marquis is an Unspeakable at the Ministry of Magic, with his father serving as a Creature Hunter in the Beast Division, and younger brother Warrane as a Creature Hunter for the Spirit Division. The youngest Chevalier son, Garin, is currently in his last year of schooling. Renée will be entering her seventh year of schooling at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in September. We can expect the couple to be wed in the following year upon her graduation. Perhaps we shall see more of the elusive Marquis now that his family is to be joined with the de Lafayette name.

You are cordially invited to attend a Masquerade Ball, given by the Zephyrus family at the Zephyrus Mansion, located in Wiltshire, on June 1st, 1884. The Masquerade will begin at eight o'clock precisely and end at midnight, when the clock strikes twelve. All are welcome to attend, regardless of social stature or blood status. One can expect a variety of refreshments to be available during this evening of dancing and social exchange. Guests should attend dressed in their best with masks. With our identities masked, quite literally, we are sure to be in for an evening of interesting happenings. Let us all enjoy ourselves and thank the Zephyrus family for hosting the first Summer Ball.
