DISTINGUISHING MARKS: On his left side there are some ragged claw marks that lead from just above his neckline, across his collarbone and down his back, ending near his shoulder blade. He also has a variety of tattoos.
OVERALL PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Standing at 5'11 with messy dark brown hair and green eyes, it is clear that he's no upperclass citizen. His clothes are baggy and stained and his body is like a canvas. He has multiple tattoos and pierced ears. Considering that he's a werewolf he doesn't feel the need to put on an act and play the good little citizen because he's not. He generally wears a decent amount of layers to hide the claw marks that stretch from just above his neckline down to his shoulder blade. He isn't particularly muscle, but he's not skinny either. He's got enough meat on his bones to put up a fight and win. He prefers to wear the color black and likes to wear boots as well, something about them being comfy and able to withstand all the wear and tear.
NON-MAGICAL SKILLS: Physically capable of handling himself he's known to get into a fight or two and win. He works out often, but there's no reason behind it, just trying to keep in shape. Before he life was turned upside down he took up hobbies such as hunting and shoe making, as well as small arts and crafts for his daughters like small kites for them to fly and helping his wife in the kitchen, albeit he's not the greatest cook, unless it's something sweet. He also likes to perform muggle card tricks, a little talent he picked up from hanging out with his sister who's a Muggle Teacher. Other than that he has great skills as a bartender.
MAGICAL SKILLS: Slade was never great with magic to begin with and dropped out of Hogwarts after his OWLs year to the dismay of parents, so becoming a werewolf has it's perks for him, and that's about the only magical skill he has. He does not bother to keep a wand since it'd get confiscated if he were to ever be found out.
WEAKNESSES: Slade rarely says the right thing and has no filter. The politeness from his old life faded away as he adjusted to his knew one. He's always getting into fights because he's always speaking his mind and doesn't know when to shut up. He has a rather nasty attitude, but that's usually near the full moon, most times he's fairly placid when it comes to his attitude. He can also be a bit childish, but it doesn't mean he doesn't act like an adult. His lycanthropy is also a weakness. He has a fear that it will be the death of the people he loves the most, which is why he left them behind. While it does not weight him down, it has left a hole in his heart that can never be filled. He also has a fear of the Ministry, he's heard horror stories about how they treat magical creatures and he's not registered.
STRENGTHS: Slade has been through some rather difficult times over the past three years, but he has managed to keep moving forward. He doesn't like to dwell on the past and while he misses his old life he will not succumb to the weight it bears on his shoulders. He's also work-orientated. He gets the job done without messing around, mainly because it's his only source of income and he doesn't care to live on the streets. He has managed to accept many things and that in itself is strength, things such as never being able to see his family again, the fact that he's a werewolf, and that any moment he can be hunted down and killed.
QUIRKS & HABITS: Slade always has some sort of sweets on him. He's got a serious sweet tooth and doesn't mind letting it show. He also has ghost pains of the attack every now and again, but it's usually only right before the full moon. He's also known to let his mind drift off whenever he's bored or uninterested and when there's kid's around, he always gets a nostalgic look on his face.
OVERALL PERSONALITY DESCRIPTION: Slade can be seen as having a rather brusque personality. He's been through a lot and that has made him less of a happy go lucky family man and more of a nonchalant, just don't care bartender. He doesn't care to take anyone crap and would much rather fight than try to explain himself because he's terrible with words. It's a wonder he was once married. While he can be rude, he's not a bad person at all, if left to his own devices. Most days he's pretty relaxed, but there's always a slight change in his attitude during the week of the full moon. He gets edgy and agitated and snippier than usual. Even though he's changed as person, he hasn't forgotten the man he once was. He has a soft spot for kids and always gets nostalgic when around them and often thinks about his daughters.
Although he has accepted the wolf within him, he's very wary of Ministry officials. He's not registered and has no intentions of doing so. He refuses to be bullied by them. He believes that just because one night means tearing through the woods hunting down anything that moves does not define the man he is. He does miss his family but he doesn't dwell on it and he can always be found at Honeydukes buying sweets for himself. He also find peace during the full moon where he can hunt freely and let out any pent up aggression.

CHARACTER HISTORY:
Born Christopher Reese Horn to a Norwegian witch, Anita and a Norwegian wizard, Alek Horn, who had already produced four other children, twins Damian and Dominic, a son Edgar, and a daughter Ava, all of which were welcomed into the family with open arms. Christopher, later to be known as Slade, found himself constantly competing with his elder siblings. His family was a decent one, with a steady income and a family business that was booming. The Horn family was delighted to expand across Europe. They would leave the original shop in the care of a close relative and move to England where Alek opened shop when Christopher was seven. The family settled in smoothly. By this point the youngest daughters, Faye and Eden had been born.
Christopher grew up close with Faye since she was the closest to his age. The two were inseparable and troublemakers, always bothering their elder siblings and getting them into trouble. For Christopher this was the best thing ever. The family business continued to expand, allowing the middle class family to send their children off to Hogwarts for schooling. Christopher was never really fond of magic. He found it to be complex and dangerous and not for him. When he arrived at the school, he struggled through his classes. Thankfully he had Edgar and Ava to help him through his classes, because he wasn't great at making friends. Despite his placid attitude, he could never say the right things, which led him into many fights. In his third year he was threatened with expulsion after he broke another students arm, which was a complete accident.
While his parents continuously scolded him for his aggression, Faye always stuck by his side. After his fifth year was completed he demanded that his parents let him remain at home instead of going back to Hogwarts. His parents were highly disappointed and upset, leaving them in disarray. Faye was devastated but she understood that her brother has held out for the sake of all of them. No longer apart of Hogwarts, Christopher started to work at his father's shop, producing high quality shoes and proving to be quite the worker. When he was eighteen he decided to pack up and leave for Sweden to open a shop there. In Sweden he met a beautiful woman, Cornelia Rundstorm who he miraculously talked into marrying him after being rejected for several weeks and then going through several months of courting her, a year long engagement, and then marriage. Christopher has always believed that every decision he'd ever made had been on bad judgement, but never Cornelia. She was the love of his life.
When he turned twenty two, Cornelia would give birth to their first daughter, Petra Anaya Horn. Christopher had cried more than Cornelia. His wife had given birth to a beautiful baby girl and has he held the toddler in his arms, he vowed that she would be his little princess forever and always. Christopher had never been so proud. He worked steadily to provide for his wife and daughter. They were the perfect little family. When Cornelia gave birth to his second daughter, Alma Carina Horn, Christopher had the same reaction. He had three beautiful girls in his life now. He had everything he'd ever wanted.
A year after Alma's birth, making Christopher twenty-five, the family would travel to England to visit Christopher's family. They spent several days there, catching up with all his siblings and congratulating his youngest sister on her recent marriage and Faye on the birth of her son. It was a brilliant family reunion and as the night came to a close, Christopher would offer to gather firewood from the woods behind his father's house with his elder brother Edgar. Unbeknownst to them, a werewolf had recently taken up residence there. Christopher had strayed a bit too far into the woods, while Edgar stayed closer to the edge, having a fear of the dark despite the full moon above them.
The attack came from behind, the heavy weight of a muscle and fur drug Christopher to the ground, a howl sounding in his ear right before fangs and claws ripped into his neck, shoulder, and back. The attack was viscous, yet quick, ending only as Damian and Dominic came to his aid. The twins would drag him to the house, where he would spend the night screaming in agony as his mother tended to him, Cornelia being comforted in the next room by Faye, Ava, and Eden. The night was long and morning was no different. The family dared not speak a word to anyone about the attack, for fear that Christopher would be taken away or worse, killed. Cornelia and the babies would remain at the Horn family house for the next few weeks as Christopher recovered. The process was long and he it was unclear as to whether he would make it or not. Three weeks bedridden and only a week left until the next full moon, Christopher didn't have the energy or will to do anything more than lay in bed, even after his recovery. The only joy he found was in his daughters, as they would crawl over him and call for him to play with them.
The first change was a disaster. The family prepared for it, but there was no way to predict what would occur once it began. Boarding up the window and doors, Damian and Dominic would lead their brother into the woods and there they would leave him to change. With no control over the creature, Slade would spend the night hunting down anything that moved, killing two humans by accident and waking the next morning covered in blood and the headlines of the Daily Prophet reading about murder by werewolves. Christopher decided then and there that he could not handle this life. He would return home to Cornelia and his daughters, as well as the rest of his family. He would sit Cornelia down and explain how he could not live like this, turning each month and having to wake up fearing if he had harmed her. He requested that she return to Sweden, allowing her full rights to all money that they had heard together and begging her to forget him.
Cornelia was a wreck, but after comfort and persuading, she would return to her homeland with their daughters. He accompanied her to their home, giving his last goodbyes before he completely cut off ties. He stayed in Sweden for a year, taking on the change and then attempting to go back into the daily swing of his life. It took an another year before Cornelia would marry, a good man that Christopher knew would protect and care for his wife and daughters. With his family safe, he would return to England, avoiding his family and changing his name to Slade Selvig where he would have a rather unwelcomed run in with Logan Kyler, the man that had turned him. Slade made it clear that he wanted nothing to do with the older male, but the guy was super excited to have another werewolf buddy and offered to introduce him to a nearby pack. Slade declined and would spend the first three months changing alone until Logan once more popped up and they would hunt together, it was the only time they would associate. Once a month, every month on the night of the full moon.
It took some time, but he eventually adjusted into his new life and got himself a job at the Three Broomsticks as a bartender, hoping to make some cash and renting out a room there as well. His life has been turned upside down and there's not a waking moment where he doesn't miss Cornelia and her curly brown hair, or Petra with his big green eyes that matched his own, or Alma and her giggles. He has accepted it though. This is now his life and there is nothing he can do about it. He makes the best of what he has and does his best not to dwell on things since passed.
