OVERALL PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Augustus is a short, stocky young man. When he was 15 he was still one of the taller boys in his class, but after that he didn't grow much in height anymore. Instead he grew in width, which vexed him greatly at first as he looked even more chubby than he actually was due to his height, but soon he was able to form his appearance to a more muscular one, which increased as his shoulders widened, the process supported by excessive exercise. So he grew up to make up for his shortness with physical strength and is determined to keep it this way. Due to this the veins on his arms and hands are very prominent.
His blonde hair is not quite short and when he doesn't push it back, it falls almost down to his square jaw. His face has sharp angles, mostly along his chin and jaw, less so around his cheekbones. A girl he'd set his eyes on once told him that she was vastly jealous of his even lips, which are full and in almost perfect symmetry. He's always clean shaven and prefers to wear any sort of hat to every occasion. He dresses with care but not overly so. He takes care to look proper but simple.
NON-MAGICAL SKILLS: Augustus has at some point begun teaching himself how to carve wood without magic. He can carve little figures, astonishingly detailed, of the size of his thumb and much bigger ones.
MAGICAL SKILLS: At school he always tried to master all his spells perfectly. He worked very hard for it, but some came to him more easily to him than others. For example defensive spells seem to be more in his nature than offensive ones, however when the blood is running high, he is known to blindly fire spells which come close to accidental magic. Offensive spells only work for him in extreme situations of anger, hence he has great trouble practicing them.
WEAKNESSES: When he feels threatened - it matters not if he himself is in danger or one of his loved ones - Augustus tends to lose his mind. He is one to be easily angered and when this happens, rational thought flees him and survival instinct kicks in.
He has a very high opinion of himself and his family and doesn't keep his pride hiden from anyone, which is why he can be seen as arrogant.
Once betrayed Augustus has a hard time forgiving and he has rarely ever done so in his life. The only time he has forgiven a mistake was his father for not having been there to prevent his mother's death and it was a hard, arduous process for him to do so.
STRENGTHS: Augustus' love runs deep. Once his love is captured he cares for the person at the best of his abilities and treasures love and friendship above everything. He is passionate about everything he does and when he falls in love, he falls hard. Augustus is a black-white sort of person. For him there is no equanimity. What he loves he does with passion and with all his heart and his mind on the task, what he dislikes has great trouble getting back into his good books.

QUIRKS & HABITS: Augustus wears hats as often as he can and when he takes them off when wearing is no longer appropriate, he has the habit of playing with them in his hands, spinning them around or working his way along the rim. CHARACTER HISTORY: Augustus was the first child born to Elizabeth Bulstrode, but only one of many to Micajah Fawley. He grew up in a lively house with siblings of all ages, some of them adults already and always had someone to look up to, others to envy. He did not consciously mind sharing his father's love with many as he clung to his mother most of the time, and still did when both his siblings were born.
When he was only four years old he watched his mother fall down a flight of stairs. There are still dark memories of him sitting on the stairs crying with his little sister, who understood even less of what was happening and could only sense that everyone was in uproar. Older siblings rushed to his mother's aid, but in the end she died and left Augustus alone, so he felt. There was nobody there for him anymore to cling to and none of his siblings could make up for the loss, nor could his 'new' mother, who joined them eventually.
In the following years Augustus was once and again haunted by nightmares, which were first depicting his mother's fall and everyone's worried faces, the panic in the house, in a very graphic way, but by the time he went off to Hogwarts they became more sporadic and had him wake to the feeling of loss and loneliness. They continue until the present day, but he rarely remembers any of those nightmares anymore and explains them away by telling himself that he just has a light sleep now and then.
At Hogwarts he worked very hard to achieve good marks and make his family proud instead of bringing shame to them. He followed the rules and never got so much as a warning when it comes to detention. His hard work paid off and earned him the position of Prefect in his fifth year. He took the responsibility very seriously and bore the badge with pride. On duty he did his best do to justice and be consequent in his actions.
His fifth year was in all an eventful one. Not only did he earn the position of Prefect, but he also began to notice the other sex. It was Elladora Alderton he set eyes on. The fair blonde captured his attention and he could feel himself slipping. Something which was not in his control was happening to him and he was afraid at first. He wanted to do what was right and proper how he'd learned it, but his thoughts escaped those limits of propriety increasingly often. At first he wanted to separate himself from the girl which was distracting his thoughts and becoming the object of his adoration, but he found that he couldn't. In the end he allowed himself to get to know her to extinguish his craving for her presence, but it only led to them starting to court. Augustus was, at that time, so ashamed of himself and of being so weak as to not do what was right in his eyes, that he didn't tell anyone.
Despite the distraction Augustus continued to work hard to prove his worth to his family. Maybe he worked even harder to make up for what seemed like a mistake to his mind, but which his heart found perfectly alright. In his seventh year then this resulted in him being chosen for Headboy, which he was highly pleased about and couldn't help but tell everyone who didn't want to hear it. He took it as a chance to practice what he saw his father do with ease as Minister. After having forgiven the man for the death of his mother he had become his greatest rolemodel and he tried his utmost to live after him.
When he was out of school, he was at first confused as to what to do now. He knew where his final goal lay. He wanted to help keep the world stable in which his family was safe, but he didn't know how to go about it. So he turned to the person he had learned to trust and who would be able to lead him. He of course agreed with his father's suggestion he start at the Ministry by becoming a security officer before working his way up, maybe ending up in the Auror office later, maybe somewhere else altogether.
By not deciding to go into Auror training immediately, he had more time on his hands and, as soon as Elladora was off age, began to arrange their official betrothal. He had it all planned out and carefully dropped hints for his father to officially arrange the match and was successful in his schemes. His shame about the secretive relationship still hadn't faded, but did as soon as everything was set right for him and Elladora to happen, in front of the public eye. As she is out of school Augustus is merely waiting for as little time as is proper to finally marry his love.
The only thing causing him grief about the impending marriage however is his sister's clear dislike towards Elladora, which is mutual. He always felt very protective of Eugenie, more so than towards any other family member, trying to protect her of the nightmares he had experienced, even though she hardly remembered their mother. So now a great war rages in him as he knows he can't make both of them happy.
