Rasin Sigdag Stensrud
NAME: Rasin Sigdag Stensrud
AGE: 17, Birthday: 20 November 1866
SOCIAL CLASS: Upper Class, member of the Queen’s Guard
STATUS: Single
PLAY-BY: Finn Jones
BlOOD STATUS: Halfblood
EYES: Blue with a green shade.
HAIR: Dark Blonde, half long, curly.
SKINTONE: On the light side but not pale.
HEIGHT & WEIGHT: 5' 9 (1.75 m), 63 kg.
DISTINGUISHING MARKS:
No marks but still his typical Stenstrud genetic hair stands out compared to the rest of the Hogwarts students.
OVERALL PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Stands at 5' 9" (1.75 m), Rasin is a boy of average height and build. There are quite some times that he looks at the muscular bodies of his classmates and gets slightly jealous. While he is a little muscular himself, he is pretty slim which doesn’t make him look that manly as he sometimes wished. Or more like his father wished because Rasin himself doesn’t really mind it. His dark blonde curls reach through over his ears and are quite untameable. Often he doesn’t even bother trying to get his hair fixed. The thing is: his father usually forced him to do it or let’s a house elf get it done.
His dark blonde hair goes along with his blue/greenish eyes. Often he wears what his father expects him to wear; proper wizarding robes which cover most of his body. The robes are mostly made of the finest materials and contain a lot of details. May muggle clothes been worn they are always suits and neat clothes. No matter if he wears muggle of wizard clothing they always seem to be expensive and over the top classy. Often he’s given a lot of looks by girls who seem to be interested due to the fact that he dresses like he has a lot of money. Which he has but still he seems to show very little interest in these girls. Or girls in general.
NON-MAGICAL SKILLS: Horse riding, chess, strategy games, hunting with care and honor, playing the violin.
MAGICAL SKILLS: While his magical skills are pretty average, he finds himself talented in Transfiguration. Already from a very young age he had shown being able to master high level spells. At the moment he is trying to become an animagus as the ultimate prove in his skills. He wants to show his father that he can achieve something complicated on his own.
BEST/WORST CLASSES: Best: Transfiguration, History of Magic, Muggle studies Worst: Charms, Flying, Astronomy. Actually everything else beside his three best courses.
WEAKNESSES: Rasin is a very suggestible boy when it comes to trying to please his parents. He is willing to go pretty far and take tasks he can’t handle. There always lies a pressure on him about how he has to be and seeing that he fails to become the ideal son, his confidence drops low. Even when he pretend not to be, he is very bashful and would barely accept any compliments because he thinks people are just joking. Everyday he tries to keep his emotions in control and be the proper boy he needs to be. Rasin also can’t fly due to the fact that he never learnt it. A lot of times he has trouble standing up for himself but when ever someone offends his family, he can show some kind of anger.
STRENGTHS: It’s not only the fact that he is pushed to do it but Rasin is a hard worker himself. When he lacks talented for most things he tries to work twice as hard as the other students to still achieve his goals. Even when he doesn’t appear to be kind on first sight, once he dares to open up or is alone he is shown true kindness. Mostly only towards his pet bird and his closest friends. He also has learnt from his uncle to be patient and while it can be hard sometimes, he knows that he can’t always directly have what he wants.
QUIRKS & HABITS: Rasin has the habit to build a wall of coldness around himself incase to appear stronger and confident. Once build, he has trouble breaking down the walls. Talking about what he truly thinks and feels can be a challenge for him.
OVERALL PERSONALITY DESCRIPTION: Often a pretty quiet and calm looking boy, sitting with a study book and his pet bird. Because he never met much other children when he was young, Rasin has trouble around his classmates. He knows that he has to set a good example and show off his family pride. This had many people think he was arrogant and selfish. Even when it only is what people expect of him of course. A bad habit of Rasin is that he gets jealous easily when someone else is better in something than he is. With whatever he does, he’ll follow the school rules and often reminds other students of the rules. He is convinced that people need rules and guidelines to live a save and happy life. His friends for example, but he tries to hide it. Above all he is easily embarrassed and when hit a sensitive spot, he can slam shut or get really angry for nothing. Even when having a very few friends because he appears to be cold and strict, once he does dares to open up and someone gains his trust, he’ll be the most loyal friend ever. With them he dares to develop himself to who he truly is

CHARACTER HISTORY:
Rasin was born and raised in the wealthy Stensrud family. They descent from a Norwegian royal family but have moved to the UK to join the Queen’s guard. While other children went outside to play, he stayed inside to learn and practice magic. Often the young Rasin looked outside the stained glass windows and saw the children of their maids play outside in the forest. The younger children of the Stensrud family had more of a chance to be a kid. Since his birth Rasin was the heir of the leader position for the Stensrud family. He needed to be ready when his father wouldn't be able to take the position anymore. So from a very young age already he started studying and learning. There were many times that he got jealous and attempted to sneak out so he could join them. Too bad for him that he never managed to get out without being busted by anybody. The only times when he got out was to learn how to ride his horse or tame the falcon he got for his 6th birth day. Naming her Inanna meaning lady of the sky(Inanna was the Sumerian goddess of the earth, love, fertility and war.)
Always has the boy walked in the shadow of his far more talented elder sister. As the only son of Wodan Stensrud, there is a lot of pressure on his shoulders. Quiddich never has been thought to him, his mother claiming it to be a barbaric dangerous sport for the common folk. Inside he spend his time reading, painting and training his magic and potions skills. At a very young age Rasin discovered that he had a talent in transfiguration while his other subjects weren’t that special. They were good but nothing outstanding. Through the years while he was alone with Inanna as his only companion, he grew very close to the bird. They became more than master and pet. They were friends and cared for each other.
By the years he began to build some kind of inwards frustration. Believing that his source of happiness laid within the happiness of his parents. He spend his whole life trying to live up to their expatiations and because of this he doesn’t take failures very well. When his parents tell him that they are proud of him, he is happy. The disappointed look of his father always makes him feel horrible. Like he isn’t worthy of their family name. Not even spending time with his sister helped, she only reminded him how much of a failure he is. Sometimes when he visited his uncle Lodrik, he could actually do what he wanted to as long as he didn’t tell his father. Yet this seemed to be very hard since his father had always been the most important person in his life. So most of his younger years were spend with either family or his per horse and falcon.
When he first left to study at Hogwarts he was sure to set forth the good name their family had. They were one of the few Half-bloods who were respected by pureblood famlies. However due to the cold and strict persona he had created to be the quest for making friends had been hard. Most of the time he was alone, either playing with his bird or studying. While the teachers were all very laudatory about his stakes and motivation, his father never seemed impressed.
The only thing was due to his beloved bird, he never was fully alone. She'd been a loyal friend and no human being could beat her. For Rasin didn't the other students matter, they should just follow the rules, don't cause any trouble and graduate. He was pretty convinced that the only people you'll see the rest of your life are your family members. Neither did he ever took the effort for a relationship. Both because he just couldn't find any girl to catch his attention but also because he knew his parents would choose the right one for him to marry. Rasin trusts his mother and father above all truths. And up until this day he fights to gain strength to show his father that he can leave the title of family head without worries to him. Too bad for Rasin that he never managed to reach such a thing. So he'll go to beyond to find the ultimate way to prove himself as a person and a wizard. It'll take hard work but it's what he's aiming for.

The end of his sixth year was drawing near. While he usually didn’t care much for other students, Rasin decided to spend his time reading in the Hufflepuff common room. A waste of time actually, it didn’t really matter where he was. In the end he always sat alone. Then again it was his own fault that he didn’t have friends to spend time with. There were things he valued more, it was his personal choice. He was here at school to study and build on his future. There was no time for making friends. Besides all friendships build would be lost in the end. He’d better aim for good grades and gain a nice and well-paying job with proper colleagues. They were the people he had to see most of the time. Looking over his book he saw two fifth years giggling and talking quite loud. He frowned and felt inclined to tell them to be silent but for this one time he let them pass by. His face turned however when he saw the boy giving the girl a kiss on her lips. Disgusting. A man should not kiss a woman other than his fiancé or wife. However the girl seemed less bothered than Rasin by this. Suddenly he felt four eyes looking his way and he quickly hid his face behind his book. The last thing he’d want was people knowing that he’d been watching their private moment. Wait a minute, private moment? Get a room you two. They should be ashamed for committing this act. Hat if their parents found out? Still judging by their looks they weren’t much of a highclass. Probably lower class students who’d leave after their O.W.L.S.
Sighing a little he wondered how it was to kiss a person. It’d probably never happen to him till his wedding day. Somewhere he felt a light worry that he could make a fool out of himself on his most important day. Besides who was he going to marry? There hadn’t been a single girl who’d struck his interest. Some were nice and intelligent but for some reason he couldn’t see what other boys found so special about the people of the other sex. Maybe his wife would be different, at least he hoped so. Perhaps he was just having too high expectations like his father. Funny. No actually it was pretty sad. The book had remained unread and he was just staring at the letters, his mind completely somewhere else. He’d trust his parents on finding the perfect girl for him. Then it was his task to make her happy, he’d work hard but it’ll be worth it. In the end he wanted to grow up to be like his father. Hopefully his marriage could be as happy as that of his parents.
Until then the only women he had to worry about are his mother, his sisters , the female teachers and the female prefects. Including the other Hufflepuff prefect of course. She was what the other boys described as the perfect girl. Rasin couldn’t disagree on that. Even he could see that she was beautiful and quite adorable. Besides she was good in Herbology as well. Even when some described the course as useless, he quite liked studying all the plants their world had. Ah well, he’d see what the future would bring. Checking the clock he noticed it would be almost time for his rounds now. Finally he closed the book without haven gotten a page further and decided to bring it to his dorm before waiting for the other prefect to do the rounds with.
