OVERALL PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Wodan is a proud man, who stands at 6’2”, back straight and head held high. He has black curls and his son inherited those in a lighter shade. His brown eyes, despite the colour, don't often hold warmth and this only occurs when he's looking at his family or rather at his wife and daughter and sometimes his son. There are hard lines on his forehead and around his mouth which constant worry created there. His thin lips rarely turn up in a smile but more often form a frown or even a snarl. Wodan is of slim built and his relatively tall body is rather wiry as his tasks require physical fitness. To neglect one’s body in any way would bring shame on the family name, like Wodan's brother did in gaining a considerable amount of weight.
NON-MAGICAL SKILLS: Wodan is talented in languages. On his travels he has learned many languages from natives, from wizards, muggles and creatures alike. The network between the languages helps him understand people better.

He expects from others to persuade their goals with the same determination he does and in the heat of the moment tends to judge them by his own standards even though he knows better. He dislikes that he has that weakness of judging people too quickly and does his best to correct his character.
STRENGTHS: Everything Wodan does he does with determination. He doesn’t do things by halves and it’s the reason for his success in many things. Another strength of his is his charisma. He has the ability to address people in a way that pulls them in and his speeches have already swayed the one or the other.

CHARACTER HISTORY: Wodan and his brother Lodrik were born into the wealthy Stensrud family and by that became part of the Queen’s Guard.
His father’s family is a long tradition of magical and muggle royalty from Norway. The family has always been proud of their history and they were always one of those who ruled. Sir Geirrek, like his son would do later, traveled a lot in his youth after his education was completed and on one of his journeys he came across Elisabeth, a British woman of the upper class and he was determined to marry her. She gave birth to Wodan and six years later to Lodrik and she died in childbed. Through her family and as they had no legitimate heirs, the Stensruds were welcomed into the Queen's Guard. Elisabeth's family had been in the service of the Queen from the very beginning in 1345.
Wodan’s education began early. He was soon taught to read and write and as soon as he had his first wand, his magical education started as well. For his 6th birthday he was given a falcon to take care of, as is tradition, and he had a deep connection to the bird as it was not only on the family crest but the intelligent bird was his companion as well. As was his father’s wish, while the family stayed in Britain, Wodan attended the Durmstrang Institute rather than Hogwarts as his father had a high opinion of the school and knew the Headmaster on a personal basis and so was sure that his son would be taken care of. Wodan was a very hard working student. Being the perfectionist that he is, he always wanted to achieve the best results, so he studied hard just like his daughter would later on. Once he graduated from Durmstrang he took to traveling and visiting different countries. On his journeys he continued his studies and learned various language in those countries from the natives as well as the languages of a few magical creatures. Once he felt obligated to start making his own name and fortune, he went back to Norway to teach Transfiguration for a few years at Durmstrang. During his time his father had slowly lost his patience with him concerning a marriage and had arranged one. But upon meeting the family Wodan fell in love with the sister instead and chose to disobey his father by marrying her. Soon the teaching profession wasn't fulfilling for Wodan anymore though and he looked for new challenges. As he'd always been an accurate person and gotten familiar with different systems of law of the countries he had visited, he took on a position in the Wizengamot in the British Ministry, hereby coming back to the Kingdom and his family. On English ground soon the newest family member of the Stensruds was born. It was a great relief however when two years later the longingly awaited heir was born and thus the boy was given the second name 'Sigdag' which means 'day of victory'. The Stensruds were blessed with three more children, a boy and two girls. Both boys inherited their father's curly hair as well as the youngest girl. Both older girls inherited their mother's red hair although the younger girl's hair is wavy as well.
Wodan loves all his children dearly and his family is the support he needs to live through the day.
Soon after the youngest family member was born Wodan got promoted to the Head of the Wizengamot Sercives, which presented him with the chance to, once more, prove his worth and built his leading skills, which pleased the Queen very much. That event being 12 ago however it is high time for a new challenge for Wodan. And as elections for Minister for Magic are about to take place he chose to participate and use this chance to rise this high so early in life.

Wodan was restless and due to this he was pacing outside the room and it felt to him as if he should've worn thin the floor already and would be walking in a trench soon if they didn't come out of that room soon. Wodan was no patient person by far. And he hated waiting with a passion. Even more so when he imagined that his future life and felicity depended on a decision others were to make for him. He was actually grateful that his father had chosen this Norwegian family and had hereby made his son meet them in the first place, but he could've had a more lucky hand in choosing which daughter he was to marry, Wodan thought bitterly, as it would've prevented his waiting now. It didn't seem like only half an hour ago that he'd plucked up the courage and asked the younger daughter of the family to marry him. It had been so light and warm outside where they had strolled through the gardens and now he was pacing in a dark corridor with his hands locked behind his back, trying not to be impolite and listen at the door.
After ages it seemes finally the doorknob turned and the patriarch stepped outside. "I think congratulations are in order. I assure you, you will not regret honouring us by choosing Miss Astridr as your future wife, Sir."
Wodan nodded politely and couldn't quite stop the corner of his mouth from lifting. A monster of happyness was just beginning to stir in his stomach and he didn't want it to roar in front of his future in-laws. "I thank you with all my heart, Sir," he said to the man before he stepped into the room to see his beautiful Asta again.
