OVERALL PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Rachel has a slim figure and carries herself very upright with her chin and nose up. Her eyebrows rise as well when something she sees displeases her. Her hair is something she has often been envied for as a young girl as it was easily to be tamed and could always be pinned after the latest fashion. After two pregnancies she isn't in the very best shape anymore, but a simple corset suffices to make up for those blemishes in her exterior (which is how she sees them). Her hands are exceptionally graceful and she often wears many rings she inherited from her grandmother on her long fingers. Her finger tips however aren't as smooth as the rest of her hands due to her proclivity for embroidery.
NON-MAGICAL SKILLS: Rachel is good at all sorts of embroidery as well as knitting and sewing. When she was younger she took great pride in being the best in her crafting circle. One shouldn't think it with the uptight woman, but she can become a tigress when her family is threatened, or at least feel like one as she can't do much in most situations as she quickly becomes paralyzed when in fear.
QUIRKS & HABITS: Already when she was a little girl she adapted the habit of biting her nails when in stress, uncomfortable or when bored. It is something she always tried to fight as she grew older but only succeeded in denying the habit in front of others and inventing excuses for the state of her finger nails. Therefore she often wears gloves underneath her many beautiful rings.

She pays close attention to every speck of dirt, to symmetry on her dinner table, to straight lines in her embroideries and to every single hair that is out of place in a hair do. She has a brilliant memory when it comes to who had been in church and who hadn't attended. CHARACTER HISTORY: Rachel was born into a family of muggles with quite many siblings. The family lived on a farm with mostly cows for company in the small village. Her parents were always busy with the farm and the children helped wherever they could most of the time. Only the boys were sent off to school, but were taken home over the summer to help on the fields. However a disease spread through the village at some point when Rachel was seven, some say it was the plague. It took away all of her siblings but her older sister Sarah. The little girl couldn't quite understand what was happening, but learned to take some precautions against diseases in the time to come. As they didn't have so many mouths to feed anymore, as cruel as it may sound, her parents didn't till so many fields again and had to work less hard until Harold took the chance when a big factory was built near by, to take on a job there. The little family moved to London into slightly more hygenic enviroment and with more money on their hands the two daughters grew up to be two fine young women.
It turned out however that society was a bit much for Rachel. She enjoyed the attention of many and attended many feasts and dinner parties. However she didn't know the nature of some participants of those parties and was still too young and naive to be cautious. She fell swiftly and she fell hard in love with one George Marshall and from him she learned passionate love. Only when it was too late she saw the gravity of the mistake she'd made. This had been one of the few moments in her life when she'd sought refuge with God. She'd prayed much in the days which followed and it seemed like God had heard her prayers as one day she met William James while confessing her sins over and over again. In her desperation he seemed like the shining saviour sent only for her. Just like before she fell in love quickly but had some trouble finding the man again who had appeared there in church. Finally on one of the dinner parties she attended, more cautiously now mind you, she saw him again however. They danced and one came to the other.
Soon after the wedding two lovely girls completed the family and Rachel was happy to have found her place in life. She loves to keep the house and is content with it. She doesn't know much about her husband's occupation in the Leaky Cauldron, but she doesn't have the wish to know either.
