Gideon Frost
NAME: Gideon Frost
AGE: 17
SOCIAL CLASS: Middle Class
STATUS: Single
PLAY-BY: Shiloh Fernandez
BlOOD STATUS: Half-blood
EYES: Brown
HAIR: Brown
SKINTONE: Light
HEIGHT & WEIGHT: 5'8
DISTINGUISHING MARKS: While he has nothing physical to separate him from everyone else, he does wear an enchanted necklace with a real snowflake on it. It was a gift from his mother and he never fails to wear it.
OVERALL PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Standing at 5'8, Gideon has messy brown hair and sly brown eyes. He's always smiling and grinning because he's more than likely up to no good. His composure is easy going which fits him well. When he's not dressed in his school robes he wears loose clothing and usually wears black boots. His Aunt bought them for him and he refuses to part with them.
NON-MAGICAL SKILLS: Gideon doesn't have many skills, whether it be non-magical or magical. He takes an interest in fishing, but he doesn't have a refined skill for it. He's also got a knack for sports, whether it is just kicking a ball around or hitting one with a stick. He's also a fairly good pickpocket, but that's nothing to be proud of, and he stopped that a long time ago, but when it comes to pranking someone those skills come in handy.
MAGICAL SKILLS: He's not the best in magic, far from it, but he's not terrible either. Gideon does love flying for one thing and he's good at it. Maybe because it's a sport. That's honestly the extent of his magical abilities, but he can do quite a bit of transfiguration. It's about the only magical based class that he's good in.
BEST/WORST CLASSES: His best classes are Muggle Studies, History of Magic, Astronomy, Transfiguration and Music. His worst classes are Potions, Ancient Runes, Charms, and Care of Magical Creatures.
WEAKNESSES: Gideon's fatal flaw would be forgiveness. He is far too forgiving, even when the other party purposely does him wrong. He can also be fairly introverted if he's got some sort of personal issue because he doesn't care to weigh the world down with his problems. Gideon's a bit torn up in side, but he overcompensates by being outgoing and friendly. He does not like his Uncle, but he'd never let anyone know and he doesn't exactly know what it means to love. He's had many people love him, but Gideon doesn't really understand it. He might have some abandonment issues, but one can never tell. He doesn't exactly wear his heart on his sleeves. He also hates dogs because he's allergic, as well as all other animals. They aren't exactly sweet little creatures in his mind. He's a bit of a mess, but you'd never be able to tell. He's also learned to detach himself from relationships, which may just be a security blanket to keep from being hurt.
STRENGTHS: Gideon doesn't have patience, but at least he's honest. He's also a really good friend. He doesn't have a close circle of people to call best friends, but that's perfectly fine by him. People come and go like seasons in his mind. Gideon is far from being an angel, even though he will happily help out whenever asked. This guy rarely says no and doesn't often show a less pleasant side of himself. While he might not be the smartest person in the world, he doesn't just slack off in classes either. Gideon has a 'Never give up' policy. He'd rather try a thousand times instead of giving up. He might be a bit stubborn. He's also not picky, but if he finds or sees something he doesn't like, his face will clearly show it. Aside from that he always seems to be in high spirits and will gladly talk you to death if you try to ignore him. He also hates to see friends down in the dumps, so he'll cheer them right up, whether it be with candy or kisses. Gideon doesn't really understand the term, personal space.
QUIRKS & HABITS: Gideon loves a good prank and doesn't mind pulling one on students and professors alike. He's more likely to spend time in detention instead of class. Gideon goes through relationships like candy and strictly believes in no strings attached. He also raises his right brow whenever he's confused or thinks that someone isn't making much sense, in regards to logic.
OVERALL PERSONALITY DESCRIPTION: Gideon is a rather unique individual. He's got a lot of love bundled up inside, he just doesn't know how to show it. A good friend with a good heart, he keeps all the negative bundled up while dishing out kindness wherever he can. He knows that life can be difficult and a bad day can easily be turned around with a prank or two. Far too forgiving for his own good, he's got demons like every other person. Gideon is a real people person and it shows in his personality. He's also not the brightest person you've ever met, but he keeps his head high and works hard. He doesn't have to prove anything to anyone and will gladly let you know that. He's fairly lively, but he doesn't have anything concrete to hold onto. He just goes with the flow and when it comes to life in general, he just tries to get through the day.

CHARACTER HISTORY:
If the wind had blown any harder during the night of Gideon's birth, it would have caused the roof to cave in on the tiny home of George and Eliza Frost. Eliza was a petite woman with scarlet red hair and big brown eyes, but the night of Gideon's birth, the light died from those eyes and George, a broad shouldered man with a firm posture lost the love of his life. With an infant in his arms, he mourned the death of his wife, who'd given her life to bring a new one into the world. After several hours of uncontrollable grief, George called upon his sister-in-law to take the child.
"Take him away, as far away as possible. I wish not to be reminded of this child or the woman he took from me."
Roseline, a petite little thing like her sister, with golden brown hair and startling green eyes could not do away with the boy. She had considered dropping him off at Blake's Orphanage, but she had not been able to bear children, so she took the child in as her own. Naming him Gideon because she had promised to name her first child that and Frost too carry on the name of his father, even if he had given him up. She raised Gideon as her own with her husband Henry, who saw the child as more of a curse than a blessing. He had never been a fan of Eliza or Henry, so he did not wish to raise their child, but if it made Roseline happy then he would do just that.
When Gideon was three and capable of talking, he never shut up. He was always laughing and talking, pointing out things he found to be silly and often mimicked them. When he was five he met his father for the first time, since his uncle and father worked in the same department. Gideon's first words to his father were: "Don't worry daddy, I know you were sad after Mommy passed away." That evening he spent with his father, returning to his Aunt Roseline that night. Although George was willing to take Gideon under his wing, the child had chosen to stay with Aunt Roseline. He knew she would be sad if he went away because she couldn't have kids of her own.
At eight years old Gideon had grown up quite a bit. The kind of boy to speak his mind and goof off, he found himself with plenty of friends. Unfortunately for him though, Uncle Henry became a bit displeased that his nephew was so hyper. Gideon started to get into more trouble than not. He was daring and swift, always swiping things when he wasn't supposed to, rough housing, whistling loudly, running in the house. It was driving the man up the wall. Roseline told him that it was just the boy being a boy, but Henry had had enough. The man went behind his wife's back and demanded that George take his son back. Two weeks later George would come for his son. Gideon was devastated and Roseline just as much.
Now with his father, Gideon started to become highly introverted. He felt like he'd been abandoned. Like his Uncle had hated him enough to give him up. And although his father was trying his best to be a father, Gideon just couldn't handle it. He found himself crying in the night when his dad wasn't home and very much alone. Gideon wasn't used to being alone, so he would often try to sneak away to his Aunt's house. It was unfortunate for him that Uncle Henry was always there, waiting, like he knew. He told Gideon that Roseline didn't have time for him, for she had adopted a kid to replace him. Gideon had never felt so betrayed. The next few months dragged on. Gideon started to act out. Rough housing turned to actual fighting. Swiping things for fun became actual stealing, and whistling and running around became yelling at his father and blaming him for everything. With anger came magic and with magic came leverage.
Gideon's father was at a complete loss and when he asked Roseline to speak with Gideon, the young boy seemed reluctant to comply at first. He locked himself in his room and only came out after speaking from behind the door for a half hour with his much loved aunt. Roseline explained to Gideon that he had to give his father a chance and that he was more than welcome to stop by whenever he pleased. Gideon had only nodded solemnly before leaving that evening with her to spend the day at her house with the adopted child. Gabriella seemed to only make things harder for Gideon. He felt like he'd been replaced and after a year of trying to pretend like everything was fine, he stopped going to his aunt's house altogether. He did however stop acting out, but there was nothing that could erase the hurt and betrayal, even when he'd forgiven them, because it wasn't their fault.
When he received his letter to Hogwarts, Gideon decided that life was way too short not to live it up. He made a decent among of friends, studied hard, and got involved with school. He knew he wasn't the greatest at magic, or the worst, so he just enjoyed his time at school. When he entered his third year, he ended up dating some Gryffindor girl and while she was happily 'in love' with him, Gideon didn't find much satisfaction in their relationship and ended things rather quickly. This trend continued for the next few years at Hogwarts. In his fourth year he finally came to terms that he wasn't capable of love. He could make his friends happy, but there would be no love for him. He didn't have it in him, and that was okay with him. He didn't care for love anymore, because it had been ripped away from him not once, but twice.
Once he had successfully passed his OWLs, his father took him on a trip to America. Gideon didn't care too much for the trip, but he was grateful for the effort. He knew his father had spent a good deal of money for the trip. Sixth year was when Gideon really started to hit rock bottom. He kept his relationships to a bare minimum, because nothing was permanent for him, in regards to love. Friendship was easy, but everything else it kept at a distance. Feelings, emotions, and love interest would become detached, empty. Nothing lasted forever. Not his mother, not his father, not his aunt, but in all of his hurt, he didn't blame them. He couldn't, because he didn't have the heart.
This year is Gideon's last year at Hogwarts and he's ready to graduate. He's always studied hard, but his head is in the clouds when it comes to a career and while his father tries to suggest marriage, Gideon doesn't want to be tied down to anyone. He doesn't really have an interest in love. Or maybe he doesn't know how to.
