OVERALL PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Raven Alverto Ransford Montague is 6 feet tall. He has brown hair and large eyes. His hair was worn with longer bangs in third. However at the beginning of the Sixth year, he cut them himself. He has heterochromatic eyes, with his right eye being blue and his left being yellow/orange. It was noted that after his eyes changed after fourth year, his personality also became much colder.
NON-MAGICAL SKILLS: Raven possesses exceptional leadership skills. As captain of the chess team, he led the team to consecutive victories. He became the captain of the chess team since fourth year. Many commented that this is highly unusual as upper-class students would not normally surrender their position to a younger year, and also the fact that the seventh years from all houses (who are known to be prideful individuals) follow his orders without question. Raven is shown to be very fast and a game-handler. According to Aries Fawley himself, the way Raven played in the first games against Slytherin House is similar to how one would play shogi (a Japanese board game), with Raven assessing the situation before he makes his move, indicating that Raven is a skilled tactician. Raven's plays are extremely well-designed match that everything that had occurred was all a part of Raven's plan.
MAGICAL SKILLS: He is skilled in Transfigurations and Potions. He has a flexible wrist that allows him flick his wrist during duels without having to worry about strain.
BEST/WORST CLASSES: Transfiguration and Potions are his best subjects as well as DADA while his worse are Divination and Muggle Studies are the last. He would never say that he has any worse subjects but he knows that he has subjects that are not his forte.
WEAKNESSES: He is temper mental and would usually end up challenging and or intimidating whoever opposes him, making them shiver and apologize and leave to save their lives.
STRENGTHS: He worries about his few closest friends: the Avery siblings, the youngest de Godrin Scion, the youngest Lestrange, and the Ravenclaw Burke who is best friends with Zach Lestrange.
QUIRKS & HABITS: Whenever he doesn’t understand how to deal with anything, Raven takes out his violin and heads to the Astronomy tower and begins to play anything that comes to his mind. He likes creating his own music as well that those he was close found beautiful yet very hard to explain. And he paces whenever he thinks and often ends up talking to himself when he is in deeper parts of his mindscape.
OVERALL PERSONALITY DESCRIPTION: Raven has a strange and extremely intimidating personality. He is able to control the people around him. He has a certain level of respect for all of his yearmates, former and present, and has utter faith in their abilities for his use. He possesses a strong winners-mentality, believing that winners get everything in life while losers are denied all. However Raven also has a tendency to take victory for granted as he holds that, for him, winning is merely a given and thus, lost the sense of accomplishment in victory. Raven also views his power and skill as absolute and grows violent when anybody opposes what he says.
Raven addresses his closest people informally, calling them by their first names. However he had previously referred to them by last name prior to the event in which his personality changed. He has a complete faith in his yearmates, saying during the last chess match that he did not believe that any of them would lose. Raven also will not tolerate anyone that opposes him looking down on him or to speak to him in a derisive manner, stating that only those who serve him can look him in the eye, i.e. a few selected individuals, while others who oppose him should know their place. Raven seems too often take things to the extreme. Raven also stated that his orders are absolute and he will use force to make others submit to them.

CHARACTER HISTORY: Raven was born from a rich family which possesses its own business. Being the heir, he was obligated to succeed in all areas by his strict father. His only support at that time was his kind mother whom he spends his free time with while playing chess. However during his 2nd year, his mother died because of an illness and his father became even more strict to the point that the more skills he mastered, the more he will be given to master.
These made him grow unhappy.
Raven was seen at the tryouts for the chess club. His name was called as one of the four first years who made it into the club, a feat never seen before. Ever since then his group of the chess club had been winning its matches continuously. He aims to surpass his father's plans for his life and prove that he is greater than his father and would bring their family even further than where his father had brought them.
During Fourth year, Lucien Pardaillan de Godrin had first noticed Raven's second personality when he said ruthlessly that Rasin Stensrud should quit living. Lucien could tell the difference by his cold gaze. Lucien seemed to have confronted the other personality as he thought about Raven, when he told a co-yearmate about "frightening guys". The complete change in personality occurred when Raven was confronted with his first potential loss in a one-on-one against Lucien. When Raven fully realized that he was going to lose, he suddenly snapped, saying that he will always win and will eliminate anyone who stands in his way, even if it were to be his parents, intimidating Lucien.
Despite his figure being somewhat related to as the biggest villain, Raven was shown to be extremely caring and considerate towards his yearmates. He constantly reminds them of doing things the right way, even in the way they eat and take care of their digestive system. It was much near the point of nagging that Sebastian even called him "mother".
