Woman found dead in Muggle London-

The body of a Muggle woman was found in the poorer districts of London on Friday morning. Ministry officials were called to the scene of crime when a Wizard overheard the Muggles speculating about claw marks on the woman's shoulders. All witnesses have been obliviated, but so far the Daily Prophet has not been able to gather information about the cause of the woman's violent death. Ministry officials from the Beast Division have been alarmed in hopes of a quick clarification.
The aurors assure all wizards and witches of their safety, but advice to have the wand at the ready, just in case, and not to let children run through the streets at night alone, especially in Muggle London.

Two more murders-

Ministry Judge Brutus Stinson and his trainee soon to be judge Loxius Athelard Malfoy were found brutally murdered in Knockturn Alley. Despite insistent inquiry from our reporters the Aurors insist on revealing no information to the public.Rumors around the Ministry say say however that the murderer might be a man, who was sentenced to 10 years in Azkaban by Stinson. In all evidence it seems the man got his revenge on Stinson and his well known trainee. The Aurors insist however that no evidence is found so far and that he public does not need to worry. One should hope the Aurors will complete their task of finding the madman soon and the public can have a peaceful night of sleep again after the numerous murders just recently

Minister: Benevolent or Cruel?

Minister Fawley is currently swamped with rumors of his impending retirement. Many decree this as a false story cooked up by someone that wishes to steal the beloved Minister's position. Officials at the Ministry have declined comment on the matter, leaving one to wonder whether the rumors are truth. The people, however, deserve a solid answer, one that the Minister seems unwilling to give. The reason as to why? Sources say it may be due to the Minister's want to hide certain mishaps that have occured during his tenure, others that the man is being forced off his seat but is unwilling to let go. Though there are several theories, no one shall know the truth until the words fall from Minister Fawley's mouth.

In other investigation, it was unconvered that Minister Fawley may not be the kind man that so many believe him to be. According to one enraged citizen, the Minister is a "cruel, cruel man". Cruel enough, even, to disown his own daughter for marrying a muggleborn. Constantine Blair, formerly Constantine Fawley, daughter of the Minister, married Thomas Blair, a muggleborn wizard on the 27th of September in the year of 1860. The couple have four children together and live a quaint life. Mrs. Blair refused to comment on the matter involving her excommunation from the Fawley family when I visited her home last Saturday, stating only that her father loved her dearly. As touching as those words may be, one wonders how a father can love a child dearly, yet do away with that child when the child does something the father does not like.

Futher investigation into this matter will be conducted. We at the Prophet are hoping to receive answers from Minister Fawley, regarding both his position and private family life in relation to his daughter. Because what kind of man is truly running our government? That should be the question on the mind of all citizens today.

Werewolf attack

After the most recent murders in the darker streets of London there have been two more killings. Only now the Daily Prophet could gather information about the incident which has been well covered up as the crime happened two weeks ago. The public owes this important piece of information to a dutiful trainee from the Department of Control of Magical Creatures, who took it upon himself to warn London's inhabitants, but wants to remain anonymus. He revealed to the Daily Prophet that a fortnight ago two men were killed by a werewolf in London. The creature hunters are on the case but haven't been successful in finding the murderer yet.

After two further murders in London people get worried and demand better protection as well as stricter regulations on potentionally fatal Magical Creatures. How much more blood must be spilled for Minister Fawley to act?

George Blake dead

After suffering from a disease for many months, Mr. George Blake, owner of London's Orphanage for magical children, passed away. As his wife, Mrs. Mary Blake, died of the same disease two years ago, this leaves their only son, Mr. Ethan Blake, in charge of the Orphanage.
The funeral will be on Thursday, 16th of October at the small church St. Pius, close to the Orphanage in order to give the children the oportunity to attend.

Hogwarts Students Murdered! - Interview with Minister Fawley

In the night after Halloween two students of the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry have been murdered. To inform the public about the events and the safety of the rest of the student body and staff, the Daily Prophet could interview Minister Fawley.

Prophet: We all have heard from one or the other student who wrote letters home panicked and frightened what happened. However we all know the minds of children when put in extreme situations. What is your account of the events?

Minister: I have been in close correspondence with Headmaster Black regarding the recent devastating events at Hogwarts. We intend to do further investigation, but as of now, it is believed that this was the work of an individual.

P: Do you hereby admit that a Dark Wizard has managed to penetrate the walls we all thought to be more secure than any other building in Britain? How can the Magical Community sleep peacefully at night when an individual could get past all security and commit murder among the children, the most precious of our society?

M: I do not admit that a Dark wizard managed to infiltrate Hogwarts. It is a mere speculation at this point. I would like to make that very clear. Nothing is certain at this time. I can assure the community that the Ministry will be doing all it can to find the person behind this tragedy and protect the children of Hogwarts. As a father, I understand their concerns and do not intend to have another child harmed. Whoever did this, will be found and persecuted to the full extent of the law.

P: But it is true then that, by an individual or not, two students have been killed within the very walls of the Entrance Hall all of us have set food in once and other students, mere children, have been there to witness the horrible sight, which must surely scar them for life? Parents are worried of course and will want to take their children home. Whast is being done however to increase the protection for the time being until the Aurors have completed their task?

M: Two innocent lives have been lost, yes. My condolences, as well as those of all the wizarding community, I'm sure, are with the grieving parents. The children that witnessed this unfortunate event will be receiving treatment shortly for their mental well-being. Whether it will be a scar they carry for life is something we cannot yet predict. For the time being, we plan to employee Aurors around the grounds of Hogwarts, as well as confer with the centaur pack living in the forest to ask if they will agree to protect the forest. I have no doubts that they will. They too are deeply disturbed by the deaths of innocent children. For further reassurance to parents, I shall soon be visiting Hogwarts in person to inspect the school and discuss safety measures that need to be taken with the Professors and staff.

P: Once those measurements have been taken to assure the children's safety again, hopefully society will be able to breathe again. But in the light of the most recent, quite numerous murders in London and its surroundings some wonder if this increased violence is a result from the lax reglementations against Magical Creatures and Muggles. Do you think different now about your actions concering said parties these past years?

M: These matters have no correlation to Magical Creatures or Muggles. The false persecutions against Magical Creatures is certainly stirring anger among them, but I assure you that they mean us no harm. We should not treat them as criminals when no evidence has turned up to prove them as a collective community responsible for recent murders. As for Muggles, what can they do? We are able to do more harm to them than they to us. If anyone is to blame for recent events, it is one of ours. We should focus on finding this individual or individuals instead of placing the blame elsewhere.

P: Thank you for this interview, Mr. Fawley. In the best interest of the Magical Community let us hope that those responsible for this unequalled horror will soon be found and sent off to Azkaban.

M: No thank you is required. It is my duty as Minister to issue a public statement about these matters and allow the citizen's to have peace of mind. May the rest of your day be well

Another Death at Hogwarts

Not two months have passed since the dreadful murder of two students at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry when there is another death to bemourn. Even though the Aurors are yet unsuccessful in finding the one responsible for those cruel murders it is known that this most recent death of a student was not commited by the same person. It has been reported that one of the Christmas trees in the Entrance Hall caught fire and burried the student underneath its weight, causing his immediate death.
Even though it is accounted as an accident, parents are rightfully worried for their children's safety and the demands for Professor Black's immediate replacement as Headmaster are not to be overheard anymore.

Disappearance

After she has been missing for several weeks already, the Daily Prophet could only now gain information on the disappearance of Miss Melanie Rinaldi, daughter of Head Auror Mr. Rinaldi. It is to be suspected that this, another horrible occurrence at Hogwarts School for Witchcraft and Wizardry, was supposed to be kept secret from the public as to not worry parents even further. The search for the young woman has so far been unsuccessful and it is highly likely that yet another student under the care of Professor Black has died.

Illegal Sale of Wands to Werewolves

Van Helrov's Wand Shop, located in Knockturn Alley, was recently paid a visit by a Ministry Official. Owner of said shop, Mr. Angelus Van Helrov, met with Benjamin Burke, the Head of the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures. Though no one was on scene in order to overhear the contents of the conversation between the two, a bystander outside the shop said that it did not look pleasant and the official Ministry report of the matter is telling. Upon discovery of what occurred in the shop the day Mr. Burke visited, this reporter was appalled and believes that other upright citizens will feel the same way.

Mr. Burke visited the shop upon reports that Mr. Van Helrov had sold not one, but three wands to magical creatures. The list of name is as follows: Thomas Turner, otherwise known as "Silver Tooth", one Mrs. Allen, and another unnamed werewolf. Turner is deceased and Allen is soon to be sent to her maker for the grave misdeeds she has committed under the light of the full moon. Because it is his first recorded offense, Mr. Van Helrov was charged with a warning from the Ministry and a penalty fee of forty galleons. The shop owner has been given three months to come up with the penalty sum or have items of equal value removed from his property.

One cannot help but think that this punishment is not severe enough. Mr. Van Helrov sold to three known werewolves, though claims were made by the man that he did not know the creatures. This is an illegal act that demands more than a warning and penalty fee. Arming magical creatures, especially werewolves, with wands is a threat to our wizarding community. Light punishment regarding this matter from the Ministry brings into question their ability to protect citizens from harm. Have we not already been lenient enough with the magical creatures? When will their control over our government officials end? We can only hope that it is not too late.

Whispers of a vampire coven being formed?

A source wishing to remain anonymous has sent in information regarding what might just be signs of a rising vampire coven within the vicinity of the London. Though scattered signs have been left behind in villages such as Godric's Hollow, Hogsmeade, and in Kent, it is believed that their hideout is deep within the shadowy corners of London, close to our own Ministry of Magic. Within the past week, two muggle families have been found dead in their homes, their bodies drained of blood. The ministry covered these incidents over to be a severe bought of illness so as not to alert the muggles. Markings made of blood, arrows pointing in different directions along the alleyways have been found.

More alarming than these two signs is a symbol painted upon the outside of The Leaky Cauldron. A most gruesome symbol it was. Two demonic gargoyles held in between them a howling skull with horns and razor sharp teeth within a shield; a clear message written below: Omnia hos inter muros videmus. This Latin phrase translates to 'Within these walls we see all, the blood and pain'. One cannot be sure what it is that this presumed coven is trying to convey with such a statement. But there are sure signs of increased vampire activity in both the muggle and wizarding realms.

In accordance with safety measures, it has always been the recommendation of the Ministry to not wander in the dark of the night. We at the Prophet believe more protection is necessary with these recent findings. Wards, protection charms, amulets; whatever can be found to protect yourself and your family is needed in this dire hour. Together, we must protect ourselves, because the Ministry has shown that they will not. The reason the vampires believe they can do this is because of the weak policies against them. These creatures cannot be trusted. They'd kill us all if given the chance, which seems to be what the Ministry is doing. May God have mercy on us all.
