Caractacus is tall and despite his age he appears quite handsome. Some would say it's a shame he frowns so much. He has board shoulders and despite the lack of money tries to keep looking proper. His hair grows in curls but he keeps it short. He also always has a battle with his rapid hair growing, especially on his face.
OVERALL PERSONALITY DESCRIPTION:
Caractacus is a very pride man and doesn't deal well when his pride is broken. He isn't the kind of person to talk about his feelings but keeps everything inward until he bursts into an anger attack. Through the years he has changed and now seems like a dark broody unfriendly man. Caractacus is quite bold and often says things without thinking.

CHARACTER HISTORY:
Caractacus was born and raised in the Burke family as eldest son. Always had he believed that he'd be his parent's favourite child but his younger brother stole the spotlight. School however was his domain, his studies were average but his quidditch techniques were like no other. Caractacus was quite populair and a proud Slytherin. He also thought it was his job to keep the family pride high.
His relationship with his siblings always had been chilly despite the attempts of his younger brother. Still he had managed to get the shy boy doing things without telling his parents.
In 1861 he got engaged with a woman his parents choose for him and married the same year. Only to expect a child a year later. It was the same year he and his best friend Francis Borgin opened their shop. Burke took care of it mostly when Borgin had a side job along.
The same year November 1882 were all Burke siblings together. Including Caractacus' wife and Benjamin's fiance. The night was supposed to be a happy one but the younger Burkes returned home to see their parents slaughtered. Caractacus didn't know how to handle this and cut ties with his siblings.
After their parents died Caractacus inherited the house but had to sell it at some point when business went bad. He's completely dependent of his shop and this caused him to drop to the lowerclass.
Days grew rougher and business went bad. Still a few years later they welcomed a second child in their family. Caractacus worked hard to keep his family going and was happy for most of the times. Slowly he began seeing his siblings again and opening up. However the death of his first son in 1878 changed him. Caractacus turned cold as he found the dead body of his beloved child. He grieves every day about the loss of his first born and feels guilty about the way it went. His depression had a bad impact on his business as well. Everything went from bad to worse. Benjamin suddenly disappeared to Azkaban and Mr. Borgin did almost nothing to support the shop.
