Location; Magical London, 39 Longbridge Rd, Barking Description; Not so much a street as a complex, you enter through a Taxidermy shop, full of bizarrely reassembled dead animal parts, in the back of the shop is a narrow empty stretch of wall with a large piece of the wallpaper peeling off. Tug on the wallpaper, and the wall falls backwards folding out into a narrow poorly lit staircase leading down into the darkness. At the end of the stairs, is Downworlder Square, a dark, dimply lit cobble stone underground square. The walls are five stories high and are full of endless shop fronts, clothing stores and cobblers, hat makers and tailors, blood banks and butchers. Everything to cater to any part human creature which might desire to buy something. The most impressive building is by far the pub and inn which stands opposite the entrance, where other shops up the walls have small stairs and ladders to reach the shops on the upper floors, the Underworld Inn spans the entire height. The area is poorly lit but the occupants wouldn't mind. The roof is vaulted and charmed to look like the night sky, a huge moon always hangs in the night, showing the accurate phase. Floorplan:n/a Value; n/a Residents; n/a House Name (Optional); Downworlder Square Anything else;

Post by Garreth Audric de Montmorency on Aug 28, 2015 2:43:34 GMT -5
Location; London Description; La Maison de Montmorency is a three-floor estate and has been owned by three generations of the Montmorency. It started off as a humble manor built in 1654 but with the combined fortunes of Laverne de Montmorency and her husband (due to the demand of her love potions as well as other aphrodisiacs), and the dowry of Agnes Peverell (Garreth's mother and Abélard's wife), the estate soon grew to its massive size. La Maison de Montmorency also doubles as their business establishment and warehouse (Hence, its size). Due to additions, the house seemed somewhat Frankenstein-like with stairways leading to different parts of the house, doorways opening to other areas, and some rooms being dead ends. It contains 6 bedrooms, 7 bathrooms, 8 powder rooms, 2 laboratories, 2 stock rooms, an office, a greenhouse, an indoor pool, a wine cellar, house elves' quarters, a garage for carriages and broomsticks. They have three house elves with the names Fizzle, Tropius, and Ebb. Exterior: It is located in one of the isolated valleys around London's countryside, hidden mostly from Muggles' view. It has a stone fountain near the entrance and its walkway is a combination of gravel and short bushes delicately designed to lead you towards the entrance and around the house. Surrounding the mansion are patches of trees and underbrush. Interior: Since both Abélard and Agnes lean towards the fancy lifestyle, they choose to have their surroundings appearing flashy, so having white and light blue walls and gold lining is mostly the theme of their house (except of course the individual rooms) FIRST FLOOR: The main entrance contains a vestibule and two coats closet where guests and residents leave their coats to avoid bringing the effects of the elements inside the area. Once inside, a foyer or reception area is located where guests can lounge and wait around especially during events. On the right hand side is the ballroom where the Montmorencies usually hold their celebrations; a grand piano is located at the front/stage of the ballroom. Behind the ballroom is their large library, mostly closed the entire year and gathers dust. There is another entrance, however, at their garage (where broomsticks and carriages are left) with a stairway that leads to the office on the second floor. SECOND FLOOR: Contains 6 bedrooms and an office. It is separated into two wherein the office does not lead to the rooms. It, instead, has a separate entrance and area in the house. This was done to maintain the privacy and safety of the residents. BASEMENT: Contains a swimming pool, a greenhouse, and a wine cellar. The other rooms are solely done for business. There are two laboratories, one for the clients to see; and the other is where radical experiments are done. The latter is located at the very back just right near their personal vault (one containing ingredients from the black market; and some valuables). They have two stock rooms; one for the raw ingredients and material, the other for potions that are ready to be shipped and sold. The pool and the greenhouse have their ceiling bewitched to mimic the sky outside. It also contains quarters for the House Elves. (Good glob, I just realized my description is too lengthy. Pardon the first-timer and chop wherever you want to chop this lengthy description) Floorplan: first floor
second floor Basement: Exterior: Value; n/a Residents; Abélard de Montmorency, Agnes de Montmorency (née Peverell), Garreth Audric de Montmorency , Wilke Thibault de Montmorency , Christoph de MontmorencyHouse Name (Optional); La Maison de Montmorency Anything else; (I apologize for the long post)
