OVERALL PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Ethan is an average boy. He isn’t very tall and doesn’t stand out very much among the girls of the Orphanage. He has reddish brown hair which is thoroughly tousled when he gets out of bed. His big brown eyes and narrow face make him look younger than he really is but give him an innocent appearance and people tend to trust him easily. However at times when he grows a stubble along his jaw line he looks his age, but he himself doesn't like it so much to do it often. Ethan has a slim frame and walks with his back straight, nose up when he wants to hide that his self-confidence is wavering for a moment. Other than that is movements are smooth and gentle, sometimes a bit cautious, but a small smile usually grazes his features. Ethan loves to wear all sorts of hats and caps, whatever he finds and is often seen in long coats instead of a cloak.
NON-MAGICAL SKILLS: Ethan is good at writing, oddly enough. Even though at times he's not the most communicative person, he has his way with written word, which has helped his father often already in gaining sponsors for the orphanage.
MAGICAL SKILLS: Having grown up with them and using them every day, Ethan is quite apt at householding spells. His friends at Hogwarts laughed at him for it, but he can't be bothered anymore as it's what keeps the kids alive so to speak. As the children of the orphanage are his life, he's glad he can help them this way and keep the house inhabitable.
WEAKNESSES: Ethan can be a timid, shy boy at times. He's still learning not to lose his head in chaos and he needs to learn it quickly as it looks like his father will leave him soon and with that put the whole orphanage on his shoulders alone. He's not good at talking about his feelings and likes retreat to his room when it gets difficult and his own feelings are involved. Despite having been sorted into Gryffindor, he's not really brave. Only when the right buttons are pushed the shy little boy is put aside and protective, strong Ethan appears.
STRENGTHS: Growing up among many other children and, as he got older, helping to care for them, he has a great patience with children and acts very protective towards them. He goes out of his way to be there for other people, the girls of the Orphanage especially and has a great amount of compassion and sympathy for others. He’s a quick learner and catches on quickly. Apart from that he is very humble. The Sorting Hat put him into Gryffindor because his inner lion bursts through even when or especially if he’s a afraid, no matter that he’s easily terrified by chaos.
QUIRKS & HABITS: As he likes to wear all sorts of hats and caps he can be seen twirling them in his hands or fiddling with them whenever he's nervous and inside where he takes them off.
OVERALL PERSONALITY DESCRIPTION: Ethan is an unobtrusive person. He doesn't talk much when he isn't asked and likes to keep to himself. At the same time he's very caring and worries about the wellbeing of those around him more than about his own. He's humble and doesn't take pride in helping others but just does what has to be done, the same goes for protecting his loved ones. He is compassionate and often understands quickly how others are feeling (of course he has his blind spots too). Ethan is gentle and not very daring, but he does what he has to do without complaint.

CHARACTER HISTORY: Ethan was born shortly after his parents were wed and grew up receiving mounds of love and attention from both his parents and grandparents. He grew up playing with the kids of the Orphanage, especially the Audrey and Sasha, being there for them and knitting a close bond of friendship with them, being like a brother for the girls. For Sasha in particular he feels very strongly and he can’t name the date when brotherly affection turned into love on his site, which makes him even more protective of Sasha, but he's too shy to confess his feelings towards her.
At Hogwarts he was sorted into Gryffindor for the bravery the usually timid boy possesses. He didn’t get into trouble very often and if this had been the case it usually had had something to do with the girls as he tended to blend into the background when he didn’t feel like he was needed. Ethan was very studious for a Gryffindor as learning came easily to him and was often teased about the Sorting Hat’s decision not to put him into Ravenclaw. Usually it was Sasha though to tease out the lion in him. After his graduation he went back to his parents, helping them in the Orphanage as he’s to inherit it one day and his father has been training him to be able to run it one day early on. Two years ago however Ethan's mother died of a mortal disease and left her husband and son alone in charge of the many children of the Orphanage, which is sorely run by benefactors. As Mr. Blake hadn't been able to take that step and accept that his wife won't come back anymore, he didn't employ another worker after her death and the matron is more needed than ever as well as Ethan. There is new cause for worry for Ethan however as his father is beginning to show the same signs his mother did before she fell ill and he fears his father will leave him soon too.
