Hey there brother,

I've got a lot to tell you about, but first I wanted to let you know that I'm perfectly okay despite the events that recently occurred in Hogsmeade. Eilidh told me she wrote you about it, but I wanted to let you know myself. She also told me that an angel fell from heaven and you've been taken care of it. I hope this angel will be there when I get home, it's not often people fall from the sky and live. I hope Ari and Remy are doing okay, and you as well. I've been getting some decent grades in my Charms and Transfiguration classes. Oh, would it be okay if I spent Christmas with Maggie? I know it's a long ways off, but I figured I'd ask ahead of time. And then she could spend New Years with us, if you'd allow it that was. I still have to see what her folks say before anything is final though.

P..S. I accidentally saw her bosom too. It was a bit awkward.

I also made a new friend. A sweet little Russian girl named Alina. Pretty right? Her face is even prettier. She's got this blond hair and dark hazel eyes, and her accent is as sweet as honey. She called me charming! I told her I wasn't charming at all, just a simple ole farm boy. I think we might just be friends. We met during the werewolf attack. Funny how certain events can give you a brighter future.  I am a little worried though, she's friends with Viola von Waldburg and Jacqueline de Lafayette. Those two girls spell trouble like a wolf in sheep skin. I guess only time will tell.

P.S.S. Am I being too over cautious about this? She's a sweet girl, but I've got a perfect record.

Hey little one,

I’m glad to finally write me yourself. With Eils being the one writing me about you, I got pretty worried about my little brother. It’s good that you confirm to be still in one piece. It seems that the angel isn’t going anywhere soon. I made a promise he was allowed to stay until his memories return. And even if his past life wasn’t a good one. You’ll meet him this summer. Right now I’m teaching him how to work. Takes me back, man. I feel like I’ve taken on da’s job. Ari had to get used to the angel, I named him Cain, after da. I feel like da sent him, that's why. They’re doing better now. Remy grows like cabbage, you won’t recognize him when you return. Congrats on your good grades, we’ll have a toast to that when you return. Are you sure you want to spend Christmas with your friend? We already see you so little these days. But I cannot blame you, I’m sure they’ll have better food than we.

P.S. Such things don’t happen accidently, don’t lie you’re just like me. Only I have the guts to admit I look the way of a lady bending over.

New friends are always good. But the way you speak of her almost would make me think that you fancy her. I can’t wait to see Ari’s reaction. Don’t let the little lass drive you crazy, even if women tend to do that. Well not only women, sometimes I simply don’t know how to handle Cain. Feel free to invite her for a day at the farm this summer. She might like our goats. Cain did. And don’t worry, we won’t think strange of you if you started to experiment around with a lass. I was about a year younger than you when I first did. And well… We all know how that worked out.

Dear Pierre,

I didn't mean for ya to worry about me. You know I can take care of myself. I promise ya that all is well. A bit strange that he just fell out of the sky, don't ya think? I'm excited to meet him your little angel boy. Wonder if he'll be staying with us for a long time. Is he any good at helping around the farm? I'd bet Ari took a moment to get used to him. Does Remy take to him okay? Cain is a good name. Ma and Pa were always lookin' after us, wouldn't be surprised if they did send down a helping hand.

All this news makes me feel like I'm missin' out on a lot. I can't wait to see Remy and Ari and Cain. I guess I'll have to go and visit Fred too, see what he's up to. Have ya heard from our big brother lately? I hope all is well with him. I'm not sure about the whole Christmas thing just yet. It'd be odd not being with you all. No one has better food than us. Ari makes the best food ever. I swear I wasn't looking at Maggie, she's a friend, nothin' more, nothin' less.

As for Alina, I don't fancy her. I'm not really looking to court anyone. I've got classes to worry about and N.E.W.T.s next year and it just seems like a lot of work. Besides, she's too pretty to take interest in me. She's probably going to end up with some upperclass pureblood wizard. Oh Pierre, she wouldn't drive me crazy. I don't even know if she'd like the farm, let alone goats. I don't know 'er very well. I'm glad Cain likes the goats. I wish I was home to see everyone. And I'm not experimenting or nothin' like that. Do you only think about intimacy? I'm tellin' Ari.
