OVERALL PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Quin is on first glance not a very special looking boy. Most people will say that he is cute and pretty but doesn’t have an unique appearance or marks that make him who he is. His hair is brown and kept just over his ears, most of the time he wears it wild and nonchalant. His eyes are also brown and a little sunken. He often looks like he is tired even if he is not. Quin is of average height but is still growing. His build is lean but he does work out a little. Even when he isn’t very vain he like every other boy of his age feels like he has to show that he is becoming a man. Not that he is very muscular, only slightly just enough. He isn’t strong enough to fight. His mother has enough money to buy him new clothes however Quin likes to keep things simple and comfortable.
NON-MAGICAL SKILLS: Quin mostly prides himself in his idea to do his favour for favour business. He is quite intelligent and creative. Especially when it comes to coming up with ideas. He is also good at painting and acting. Telling a story he made up in his mind through the painting cloth or his play.
MAGICAL SKILLS: He discovered his talents yet but it’s there inside him. If he focusses on the magical courses more than the creative courses he might discover it someday.
BEST/WORST CLASSES: Best: Transfiguration. Worst: Potions(he can’t follow the book he wants to be creative but messes up because of it)
WEAKNESSES:Quin isn’t a great fighter at all. Especially without a wand he’d easily lose. But since he doesn’t get into fights really he doesn’t have a problem there. One of his bigger weaknesses is that he walks around with a big secret which he has to hide deep within him. He also gets slightly embarrassed when people talk about his home situation. As in his mother raising him on her own and she doesn’t work. People are questioning where the money comes from because Quin obviously looks prosperous. Even when being calm and trying to be kind most of the time he’ll snarl when this topic is brought up.
STRENGTHS: Quin is very supportive towards his friends. He likes to see them getting the best out of themselves and reaching their goal. Especially if he has no real goal in life himself. His greatest strength is probably his creativity and acting skill. Which he used to do for fun and relaxation only but recently he started to use it in his daily life. Even if it is his strength this is also his weakness. Quin is still in the phrase where he is finding who he is. By doing this he can get a bit confused.
QUIRKS & HABITS: Quin likes to make eye contact with people. To be sure they saw him and to see if they want anything from him.
OVERALL PERSONALITY DESCRIPTION: Quin loves to get things going around Hogwarts. He is the one you need if you want a certain item from Hogsmeade as a first or second year. Or he will make your potions essay if you have no time. However he handles a favour for a favour over trading with money. People can come to him and ask for something an item or a service. But instead of asking money he'll ask something back in the form of a favour which he can ask at anytime he want. Which is always something if similar value. He’ll remember as he has an excellent memory. However a contract is written as physical proof. The whole business is just enjoyment to him. To keep school interesting. Still he wouldn’t abuse it and take ‘no’ for an answer. He is not as manipulative as people sometimes think him to be. He doesn't do it to manipulate people at all, but to get in contact and have people provide at both sides
He will do things for you as well if that’s your wish or gain info somewhere. Or you can just approach him with ‘If I do X for you will you do Y for me?’ It goes from simple things like cleaning up the dorm in trade for getting books from the library. To more serious things like kissing and finding out who likes who. Sometimes if he needs something and doesn’t have any more favours to get back to he’ll just suggest things to people himself.
He gets along with about everyone but will make it noticed if he doesn’t like someone. He'd still do business but have higher demands. But he prefers to remain neutral. A bad reputation will keep clients away. Still he is an easy friend to keep. As long as you give him enough affection he’ll remain with you. His mother always told him: ‘Never do something for free’. However friendship might be the only thing he offers without expecting anything in return but your friendship. His inviting personality helps with that. Quin really prefers it when as many people like him as possible.
He also loves to act. Some girls can even ask him for a date as a favor while he plays the type of guy they like. Only to get over a heartbreak or something like that. So if they want a romantic guy they can have him. If they want a flirty guy, they can have it. If they want a shy boy who craves attention, they can have it. Only favors like this weight a little heavier than others. Especially if kissing is involved. More than kissing is not always an option. That really depends if he actually likes you a bit or really needs something.
He does not have much shame he will be confident but not overly arrogant and have his skeletons in his closet too. Mainly due to his family situation which he rather keeps secret. Mostly because he is told to. Quin craves for a place in his father’s and half brothers’ life but if he does that the life he and his mother has will be destroyed. Both his mother and father will never forgive him. He is quite scared of this and will remain submissive towards his parents(especially mother) because of this.
The excellent memory he has helps with school. However he has no real ambition in real life. He is already rich and doesn’t see himself working somewhere or trying to reach above himself. He prefers to be creative now and then but doesn’t aim to be an actor in a theatre play or a painter really. He envies his elder brothers now and them. He knows the life they have. The Ollivander family makes wands and travels a lot trying to find new materials. Even if his father is not directly in charge of the shop he plays a big part in making the wands.

CHARACTER HISTORY:
Alice was young middleclass woman in love with pureblood upperclass man Arthur Ollivander. They had a secret relationship together since his last year at Hogwarts and she continued being his mistress even when he got married. His wife didn’t give him very much love, not like she could. Arthur often wanted to retreat from it and focus on his family but he kept being pulled back. Alice’s family told her she was a fool. Mainly because she believed he loved her too and would one day chose her and leave his wife. However when she heard the news of his wife being pregnant she became furious. For some time she doubted of what to do. She had been happy being his mistress and having their happiness for now and then however he started to care for his wife too.
Even a second child came and Alice grew desperate. She started to realize that her chances were growing smaller and wished she had listened to her family’s advice. Still it really got too far when she discovered she was pregnant as well. Which was weird because they’ve been doing things safely for years. At first the thought of aborting the child and breaking contact with Arthur popped up in her mind. If her family were to find out they’d call her a dumb girl and disown her. However she couldn’t do it and decided to confront Arthur. The man was shocked. In panic he asked her to move to the other side of London and raise their child there. He’d sent money and funded all her needs as long as she kept their affair and child a secret. Eventually she agreed. This broke their relationship. When she started to show her family indeed disown her, she claimed she had been sleeping around and didn’t know who the father was. Alice pretended to be lower than she was to protect the man she loved. Her family casted her away. It broke her. The last months of pregnancy were tough. She only had a few friends left who supported her.
Eventually a baby boy was born, Quincey with a face much like his father’s. His eyes, hair it was an exact copy. Alice raised the boy on her own. First she just did it for the money. Arthur paid her very well to keep everything quiet. Quin was spoiled and eventually his mother became obsessed by him. She never hit him when he did something wrong. Because how could she harm the little angel that made her rich? She now laughed at the people who’d left her. As she had become very wealthy and gained her way into the upperclass. Most upperclass women from long running families really didn’t like this. They often went behind her back. Alice bought her loneliness away with jewelry and fancy clothes. While she saw some men for a night, she never attached herself to one. As she wanted to remain available for Arthur may he ever change his mind. Quin grew up in all this, his mother was very clingy and often drunk and outgoing. Still she remained a well enough mother not to have her child taken away.
When the boy turned six, Alice thought it was fair for Arthur to meet his son. However it was probably an attempt to make him sway over. As Quin was an adorable little boy who warmed everyone’s heart with his smile. He was creative and intelligent. Arthur agreed to meet them all in disguise and in another city than London. The man saw the likliness in him. Not only did Quin look like him but also like his second son Ozwin. In an attempt to be a part of his life, Arthur agreed to pay more if he could spend two days a year with his son. Both in disguise. However he didn’t want Alice to be there, he was too afraid he’d fall in love with her again.
So that was how his life was until going to Hogwarts: smothered by his overly attached mother to the point where he became uncomfortable and seeing his father twice a year. He preferred the company of his father mostly because he let him live his own life. But he understood why they couldn’t live together.
At Hogwarts he very quickly went to making friends now he had the freedom. At first he was shy but he grew over that very quickly. His charming personality made him easy to be around with. Quin loved getting noticed by other people than his mother but also very much appreciated the alone times he finally got. During his second year he did some research to who his father was. He discovered where the man lived and went to that house once. He gazed through the windows from the other side of the street. The longer he stayed the more jealous he became. It seemed that he had two elder brothers. The family seemed calm and peaceful. With his mother he never knew what was going to happen. He missed the structure that these people obviously had. But was it too late for him to ever learn how to have it?
His mother discovered and for the first time she’d hit him. She was hurt because she always thought Quin would never leave her. Or betray their promises. He was supposed to stay away from the Ollivanders.
However avoiding was even harder when he discovered those two boys were also at Hogwarts. Especially since he had grown curious to who his brothers were. He followed them around till the point where Ozwin caught him. Quin responded very defensive and made himself unlikable to the boy. All to avoid having to talk. This went on for some months till Ozwin approached him, asking what his problem was. For the first him his acting skills failed him. Quin couldn’t find a legit reason to claim he disliked Ozwin. In fact he really liked the guy. These were enough hints for the slightly older boy to find out that the young one knew something that he didn’t. At first he let Quin go but eventually he spilled up. He felt horrible and relieved at the same time having said what he had to hide his entire life. Ozwin was shocked and didn’t want to believe it at first but when seeing the secret letters between his father and Quin he believed it. He swore never to tell a soul, especially not his father. Quin wanted to trust him but still remained a little wary. They became sort of friends. Never allowed to become really close because if father would catch air of it, he’d know that Quin broke the promise of staying away from his brothers.
His school grades could be better. Quin is convinced he doesn’t really need the grades because like his mother he’d never have to work. They were rich. He focussed himself more on his skills in art and his little favour for favour business. His teachers often tell him it’s a shame because he has talent and has shown to have great intelligence.
