OVERALL PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Nathaira thinks of herself as a fairly attractive sixteen year old girl. Not as attractive as her sister, who has vivid red hair like their mother and brother, which she adores, but attractive enough to turn some heads. She stands at five foot five inches and is of slim stature. Though Nathaira's hair is naturally straight she is never seen without it curled in some manor, whether it be light curls for everyday or tight ringlets for special occasions. Nathaira has very light blue eyes that betray her every thought making her an open book when it comes to her emotions. Which did not bode well when she was younger and she did something she wasn't supposed to be doing her 'false innocence' is what gave it away according to her mother.




NON-MAGICAL SKILLS: Nathaira is a skilled cook and enjoys helping her mother in the kitchen. She will often make new things to challenge herself and expand her palate. She will often grab which ever family member is closest and say, 'try this,' which is always a demand never a request. Not one to relinquish control or trust others Nathaira automatically takes over the leader role when it comes to group projects at school. She distributes jobs evenly and makes sure they get done in a timely manor she is not one to cross so most just go along with what she says only asking questions when it is appropriate. 

MAGICAL SKILLS: Nathaira will be a potioneer once she graduates Hogwarts and will sign up for the Wizarding Schools Potioneer Championship during her seventh year. She idolizes the famous Potioneer Zygmunt Budge and owns his book, which she often argues with as the book 'dislikes' her and makes it known by teasing her and speaking in riddles when she needs help with something.

BEST/WORST CLASSES: Her best classes are obviously potions and herbology. Her worst class by far is Transfiguration as she is known to sometimes turn her animals into half the object she was supposed to turn it into.

CHARACTER HISTORY: Fergus Mckinnon met Isla MacDonald at Hogwarts, though they did not have much contact until there was a ball in Fergus’s seventh year. Isla, who had been a quiet a bookish girl, much more interested in her knitting and her studies than making eyes at boys, came out looking like a Scottish Princess. Her hair had been curled, her eyes lined with coal, her dress equipped with her family tartan. Fergus couldn’t take his eyes off of her. Despite Isla being three years younger the pair had danced all night long and started a courtship shortly thereafter.

They had had to wait for Isla to finish her education before they were able to marry, so it wasn’t until the summer after Isla graduated that they were married at the church on Skye with their close family and friends around them. Isla’s family who were from the mainland, not too far away from the Isle of Skye, had been putting money aside for Isla – their only child – which they used to buy the young couple a cottage and some farm land on the island.

It was scarcely eighteen months later Isla gave birth to a little bundle of joy, a boy they called Alasdair. The small family were happy, they used the land that they had to grow enough crops to feed themselves and to use to trade at the market. When Alasdair turned two years old Isla was blessed with another healthy baby boy, Graeme. Isla was happy with her babies and the joy that they brought her, teaching them how to do things and how to be good little men. She knew that they had both and heir and a spare, as the saying went, but her heart longed for a little girl. Alasdair was five years old, and Graeme three when her wish was finally granted and Isla gave birth to not just one little girl but two. Twins Eilidh and Nathaira, born scarcely minutes apart.

The birth had been hard on Isla, multiples always were, and after the girls had been born the doctor had informed her and Fergus that they would not be able to have any more children. While this was a sad realisation for Isla, that these were her last babes, the couple had not had any intentions on having any more children, they had two of each and they were not greedy, that was more than enough.

Nathaira had a happy childhood. She played out in the fields with her siblings, often going off an adventures and coming up with elaborate stories to play out. Nathaira's favorite being the Ogre Wars and how a brave family saved their kingdom from destruction. Much to Alasdair's and Graeme's dismay they were always made to be the Ogre's. All four siblings had cried when Alasdair went away to Hogwarts – though Alasdair and Graeme were quick to deny it when it was brought up – it was the first time that any of them had spent any time at all apart from each other. Nathaira had even been too young to write anything to her brother that was more than an ‘I miss you too’ and 'please come home' scrawled in her sloppy hand writing.

Then a few years later Graeme too went away to the school in the highlands and it was just Eilidh and Nathaira apart from during the holidays. Eilidh and Nathaira spent a lot of time with her mother, the girls spent less time climbing trees and more time learning how to knit, sow, and cook things that their mother deemed would be useful in later life for them. Nathaira hated knitting and was often scolded for her crooked knitting by her mother.

When the time came Nathaira was more than ready to go away to Hogwarts. She was happy to be back with her brothers again. The four of them spend a significant amount of time together, setting family time aside – at the request of their parents – so despite houses and ages they would all have each other.
