Savin didn't know what to tell her, she surely wouldn't appreciate his trying to get her into bed, nor the idea that there was something advantagous about keeping the young missing Rinaldi close. He set about comstructing a delicate half truth, with the romance a young woman liked instead of the smutty underhanded reality. "To tell the truth," he began bashfully, "I always did notice you in school, I never stood a chance, someone like me. I might not be what you want, but I'd still like to be a friend. You're by far the best I could hope for, as a friend I mean, I might still be human, but I'm just as outcast as anyone else here." Savin explained, his accent was diluted now, there was no point in hiding hos true mastery of the language from her.

Melanie looked at him curiously, trying to decide if he was lying. It was hard to tell either way. She considered him for a moment, determining the risk of trusting him. "Alright. Friends then. But know that if I find out you're lying to me and you have some sick alterior motive, I'm capable of ripping your heart out." She warned, poking a finger at his chest where his heart beat beneath.

Savin smirked again. He didn't have an ulterior motive as of yet, but this was the start of something... Interesting. "Likewise," he returned her threat, his half-smirk never leaving his face. "I work at the pub in Knockturn, come and find me next time you want to talk," Savin took her hand - the one she'd just threatened him with, and kissed it, letting his lips linger just long enough for the jesture to be not friendly then he stepped around her and made his way out of the inn.
