OVERALL PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Katarina’s upper-class physique is just about flawless, and her carriage as well. She has impeccable posture and always looks rather neat and clean. She often wears her hair in an updo, with a few slighty curled strands framing her face. She puts makeup on once in a while, but she doesn't need it much due to her naturally clear complexion. She dresses nicely at all times, and is visibly well-off.
NON-MAGICAL SKILLS: Katarina is an accomplished pianist, and also has very elegant penmanship, two skills which she took to rather quickly. She is also a very good singer, and plays the flute and violin as secondary instruments. Her governess noticed her musical abilities early on and trained her in them, instilling a deep love and respect for music within her.
MAGICAL SKILLS: Katarina is an adept potion-maker. She also, surprisingly for one of her seeming elegance, shows a proficiency in hexes and curses. She is also a fairly good flier, but does not join her house Quidditch team, as her family thinks that it would be improper for a young lady.
BEST/WORST CLASSES: Her best class overall is Potions, followed closely by the Alchemy elective she chose to take. She does well in other classes that involve that sort of precision and subtlety. Her worst class by far was Care of Magical Creatures, which she dropped halfway through her third year. Animals never seemed to take to her, really. She is overall a superb student, and never got below an EE mark in any classes after dropping Care of Magical Creatures. She finds History of Magic fascinating as well, as she is deep into Wizarding history, specifically that of the pureblood families.
WEAKNESSES: Katarina can be vain and overconfident at times, and finds any sort of failure to be crushing to her. She can't take insults with grace, and doesn't cope especially well when faced with one. She also has a tendency to think herself better than others, partially due to her pureblood heritage and family dynamic. She is more ambitious then generally accepted for young women as well. She is rather prejudiced towards Muggle-borns, and even half-bloods to a degree, not to mention her prejudice towards half-breeds and various non-humans. Again, though, this is a product of her upbringing.
STRENGTHS: Many things seem to come naturally to her-- in fact, she doesn't have to work at most things at all. She is also confident in her abilities, which results in few of her spells or potions going wrong for any reason, unless they were tampered with. She knows what she wants in most situations, and she will not stop at anything until she gets it, even if it means being a little underhanded or sneaky at times.
QUIRKS & HABITS: She has a fear of horses, instilled in her when she was young and fell off of a horse during riding lessons and was taken to St. Mungo's for a week or two. She has had a few bad habits over the years, but most of those had been trained out of her, except for the habit of shifting her feet from side to side when she is impatient.
OVERALL PERSONALITY DESCRIPTION: Katarina, though being naturally an introvert, desires fame and glory without publicity. Her desire is to be an elusive name that people know and speak of in respect and reverence, without being able to put a face to it. She can come off as fairly arrogant around her peers, and is almost painfully ambitious, always wanting to be the best at everything she does and not accepting anything less. She is not the most accepting person at all, and her friendships mainly consist of purebloods and some half-bloods. She is, however, fairly popular, and can act with a good amount of grace around others, if they meet her criteria for being 'acceptable'. She has an innate fear of failure, and it is partially this which causes her to push herself to her limits musically, socially, and academically. She is not the best at relationships, and her parents worry that she may not find a suitable husband upon her graduation.

CHARACTER HISTORY: A young Katarina was tutored by a governess from age five to age ten. She was taught many skills, particularly penmanship and music. Her governess tried to teach her to ride, but she had an accident at age seven which put her in the hospital and resulted in a fear of horses and any other equines. Her parents were from an independently wealthy, important family, and they expected her from an early age to marry into another pureblood family.
Katarina was always fairly spunky, and it took a good deal of training to tone her slight wildness down, though it does occasionally still come out. When her younger brother, Hadrian, was born, he became the family favourite, and Katarina became a little bitter about that. This bitterness festered when he was treated as superior to her, which was something she did not like at all. She resolved at an early age to push the bonds of womanhood, and became quite a rebel, teaching herself how to fly and playing sports with other Wizarding children.
Katarina was never exposed to the Muggle World and was taught that Muggles and magical children of Muggles should be avoided and shunned. When she received her Hogwarts letter, she was quite happy, glad to be out from under her parents' watchful gazes. She quickly showed herself as an adept potion-maker and, later, alchemist.
She, unlike many girls, is not interested in marriage, but has a desire to make a career for herself, a thought which rather frightens her parents. Despite her wild and independent tendencies, she is a very refined, well-mannered young lady in public still.

ROLEPLAY SAMPLE:
Katarina Rosier's fingers flew gracefully over the ivory keys of the piano in the parlour of the family mansion, sending its music flowing through the hallways and corridors. The girl played effortlessly, from memory, and her fingers unleashed a haunting melody that echoed long after the keys had ceased moving. It was her truest love that she had-- music-- and this was clear.
She knew that Hadrian would be angry, but, quite frankly, she didn't care. Hadrian was always angry about something.
He's just jealous, She thought with a smirk, and continued playing, heedless of Hadrian's tutor, who was formerly hers as well, telling her that her younger brother was trying to focus on his penmanship and, Would you please be a little quieter?
