OVERALL PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION:
Benjamin is rather short, standing he reaches 5'5. He has thick dark brown almost black hair with already some shades of grey. He keeps his hair short to prevent getting a load of curls but not too short. His hazel brown eyes have depended through the years. His face seems to be permanently frowning and serious and has an oval shape without much bulges. However when he is with family and friends he has shown to be capable of letting the serious stuff go and just smile and enjoy the moment. For some reason his lips are quite round and according to his wife quite soft as well. All though this is quite embarrassing for a man to hear such a thing so she stopped saying it. Only a few times to tease him. There are already a few wrinkles visible mainly on his of head but his wife often told him that it was because he frowns too much. When still on free foot, he had the never ending battle with his beard which seemed to have returned within a few days after shaving. So the one time he has a stubble beard and the other time he has not. Though in prison he seemed to care less about it. However once he gets out he'll try to fight the hair grow once more. Benjamin is rather firm build, not skinny or muscular at all though he used to be in his younger years. Despite being small he always was quite broad and strong. However he lost a great amount of weight in Azkaban. Which he gained again since his release but never got back to hold former weight due to stress. He still wears the pocket watch, containing a picture of his family but he has trouble looking at it.

Short temper(even when he tries to control this to maintain his manners), not restrained to use unforgivable curses and other dark magic, selfish, corrupt, power hungry, attracts bad luck for some reason, can be really rude to those the thinks are not worthy for this world. Hes' a very bad flyer and has a fear of heights. Often he feels like his sort length is a disadvantage and some people don't take him seriously. He also tends to blame himself easily

Often a man who first thinks about what the consequences are before handling, he is a strategist and an excellent planner. Some say that he’s a seer because often he can do things so they’ll turn out like he wants in the near future. Even when Benjamin can appear cold and harsh at first sight, his intentions are good. He’s a very loving father and friend and tried to keep his circle small so he cannot be betrayed easily. Some may not always agree with him but he understands it. Those people were probably not raised the good way. Even when he seems heartless and strict, he does show love towards his family as they’re the ones he fights for.

Benjamin was born second in the successful pureblood family, just two years after his elder brother Caractacus. Their house was located from villages or cities, because they wanted to live in a peaceful environment. If they needed to go to work or go shopping they'd use the fire place to travel. This is why the only children Benjamin saw until he went to Hogwarts were his siblings or cousins coming over for special events. "Seen and not heard; that's what children should be." or so Elizabeth Burke once said. It’s a way most Burke families raised their children; strict but with care, making sure they’d turn out as proper adults who were worth something.
At young age all Burke children are taught proper manners and to show respect for their elders and superiors. Already at the age of five had Benjamin rapidly learnt to write and read, which was a lot faster than his brother who was seven at that time and at the same level. His parents were proud of their second son who showed surprising things which even they hadn't expected. At the down side, his relationship with his brother never was that great. Caractacus could never get over the fact that his younger sibling often surpassed him in everything he did. Often he tried to find a way to either make sure Benjamin's mistakes came to light or get him personally in trouble. Too bad for Caractacus that it often failed and he fell through. In his first six years it had been only the two of them until their mother announced she was expecting another child. This turned out to be a girl and she received the name Verruca.
A few months later Benjamin started to show capabilities of magic it was at a rather young age and even his elder brother who was 8 hadn't showed it. Benjamin decided not to go on about it at the time being. For some reason he had been kind of scared of his elder brother who often tend to be aggressive or angry towards him when their parents weren't looking. At this time Ben was still a timid boy who mostly spend his time reading books and drawing instead of playing with the expensive toys his parents bought him. Because he was always told to be silent, he tried to practice his things as quiet as possible, until his parents found out. That was when he got the warning not too use magic outside of Hogwarts until he was 17. Too bad for Benjamin who was very driven to learn how to use it had to wait still a few years.
To fill up his time now he got home schooled by his mother as his father was off at work. Caractacus first began using magic when he was 9, Benjamin was happy for his brother and kind of relieved himself. The years of home schooling were peaceful and when Verucca reached a certain age, Ben enjoyed teaching her to talk and often read her bed time stories when father was working and mother somewhere else. They had two house elves to take care of their things. Both female one named Stella and the other Zoey. They took care of the house hold. Benjamin at first didn't pay much attention to the elves, they were just kind of there. It happened a few times that his parents had to remind him to be more strict to those creatures.
They needed to teach their second son clearly how this world worked and was divided in different groups. He learnt about good and bad(the way purebloods do those things) and was already quite prepared for what he was about to face at Hogwarts. The time flew and Caractacus already was sent to Hogwarts. To delight of the parents, their eldest son was sorted into Slytherin. In just a few years he'd go too and he couldn't be more exited. Of course he had been a bit nervous and he still was what Caractacus called him 'too soft'.
When he finally was old enough he almost got sorted into Ravenclaw, the sorting hat had quite a hard time sorting him. Because it can look further than what a person now is at the moment. It seemed that Ben had all the potential for a Ravenclaw right now, however what his future showed was more Slytherin material. So he ended up being in the same house as his elder brother. At Hogwarts their bound kind of grew the positive way. Benjamin didn't have much friends, just some people who wanted to work with him because his grades were good. He showed an immense talent at Potions, Ancient Runes and Charms. Which were also his three subjects he would later get O's with at his O.W.L.s. There were also some elder students who tried to pick on him because he didn't seem to show the same confidence as all other pureblood children seemed to do. Besides he always had been quite small and as a boy it's easy to be called a girl then. Caractacus stood up for his younger brother and their bound as brothers seemed to have finally grown strong. Caractacus joined the Quidditch team as keeper(something Benjamin sucked at) and Ben would often cheer on his elder brother.
Suddenly Frederick and Catherine were expecting another child. This one wasn't planned but they decided to just sit it out and welcome the baby in the family. The new young boy was 14 years apart from Benjamin but he still was glad to have a little brother. Their sister seemed to have more gone her own way.
What they didn't know was that their father got placed to another department. Before he worked at the Department of International Magical Cooperation with as sub job International Magical Office of Law.
However due to the increasing amount of werewolf attacks and the former head of the werewolf capture unit being killed during work he was placed to the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures. Frederick was angry at first but knew he didn't have much of a choice. So he just went with it and didn't dare to tell his wife. Sometimes he didn't return home for a few days because he was recovering in St. Mungo's.
Even when Benjamin could have noticed his father suddenly acting weird he was with his head somewhere else. There was a girl, Leona, his first crush, things that happen when you're a 15 year old boy almost turning 16. While they first started as only friends(his first friend not to mention) those butterflies developed quickly for him. She may be a Gryffindor, a house his parents weren't particularly were found off but she seemed to have it all for him. What happens when you're in love, you forget to take responsibilities. He never took the effort to find out or he didn't want to realize that this girl wasn't from one of the pureblood families that were well known. No in fact she wasn't a pureblood at all but born in a middle class muggle family.
While his parents maybe never would find out, his brother who went to the same school, did. Benjamin received the opposite reaction of what he expected, Caractacus wasn't angry at all, he just warned him that if their parents would find out, Benjamin would be disowned. At first Benjamin shrugged his older brother off and told him things would turn out just fine. For Benjamin always had been a man or then still a boy with a plan, he could predict how things would go because he had knowledge of people and how they worked. This did angered Caractacus and he was told that if he didn't get rid of the girl, their parents would hear about this. It was foolish to choose a teens love over his family who had supported him through the years. His older brother told him he had to prove his loyalty to the family and his honor as a pureblood. Show that he didn't love someone with filthy blood at all. Scared and against his will he gave Leona a potion which turned out to be poison, he knew this all to well, for he had brewed it himself. The last thing he said to her before she let out her last breath was 'I'm sorry'.
From that day on Benjamin's personality hardened a little bit, he was still capable of showing happiness and kindness but he had been more careful all around. It was also the last year he shared with Caractacus at Hogwarts who graduated from his N.E.W.T.s with okay grades. Caractacus left the house early as he found a nice girl and got permission of his parents to marry her.
The shift between his age of 16 and 17 had done good for him. Benjamin seemed to have grown more responsible and mature. Without trouble he passed his sixth year and got ready for his final year at Hogwarts. He'd start his N.E.W.T.s with full confidence. There were a few occupations which he was interested in. Just after he turned 18, January 1862, half way through his final year at Hogwarts he got engaged with a girl his parents chose for him. She was two years younger and still in Hogwarts herself. However his final half year together at school helped them get to know each other. It seemed all like the best year for the Burkes. A new couple, Benjamin graduating with the best grades of his class, Verruca passing her first year flawlessly, Caractacus counting days for the birth of his first child and was together with his best friend preparing to open their shop together. Frederick and Catherine were happy and the proudest parents in the world. Even little Joseph began to develop perfectly. The old couple who slowly would have to say good bye to both their eldest children wanted to celebrate. In November 1862 just a month after Johnatan, the first child of Caractacus and his wife was born, Frederick and Catherine had the house for themselves. They wanted to spend some quality time together like he hadn't been able to do so for years. Verruca and Joseph were staying with family and Benjamin was meeting his family in law.
That night a werewolf pack of a furious savaged alpha male who had lost his wife and pups to Fredericks work(who still hadn't told his family he got another job). He came to take revenge which he had sworn the day he lost his loved ones. Both Frederick and Catherine were brutally slaughtered and found the next day by the family which Verucca and Joseph stayed with. The whole family was embittered and their hate towards magical creatures grew, believing it was a mindless attack. However Benjamin told Caractacus and the rest not to lower themselves to their levels and the authorities would deal with it. Caractacus didn't seem to take it all too well and shadowed himself from the rest of the family. Still the eldest got the house and Ben got both house elves. This left Benjamin and his young fiancee with two siblings underage to take care of themselves.
For a few years they lived at the house of Cordelia's parents as Benjamin started his auror training. It were busy days and often he made extra hours, trying to be both an auror, a lover, a parent and a sibling at the same time. He'd been more serious than before. In 1883 he heard that his brother had opened his shop but he only came to check by once.
A year later Cordelia and Benjamin became wife and husband, Verucca being the flower girl and little Joseph giving the rings. Benjamin had grown very found of his youngest sibling their relationship was between that of siblings and parent/child. Days seemed to have brightened once more. Once the auror training was done Benjamin began to earn more and soon with the money he got from his parents, he bought their own deluxe house. Just in time for their first child to be born, Arabella Catherine. It was a day of joy and Joseph seemed to be just as proud as Benjamin. For the 11 year old Hufflepuff student it was a joy to not be the youngest of the family anymore.
Sadly Benjamin couldn't get along too well with the head of his department. Robert Rowle couldn't stand Benjamin and his know it all attitude. Even when the young auror did his job more than perfect. Perhaps that was why Robert didn't like his college, some said that one day Burke would take over Rowle's office and become head auror. However that never happened. Benjamin got sick and tired of all the drama and moved to the Hit Wizard department. That same year (1867) a couple of twins was born. A boy and a girl, he couldn't be happier with his perfect family. Even when he raised the children strictly there also were great times of fun and love because he kind of missed that in his own childhood.
Happy years went by and Benjamin got promoted and became the head of his department. This bringing him on equal foot with Rowle. He trained his hit wizards well and for a few years handled the authority. The streets seemed saver as he also went after criminals with but a little evidense against him. Using his runic magic he could build liar detectors, and even when they weren't approved by the ministry, they worked. Rowle was furious that he Hit Wizards were doing what was his job and planned a plot against Benjamin.
In the end Rowle got his way and Benjamin was taken to Azkaban in 1878 for things he hadn't done. The thing he regrets most is that he wasn't even home when it happened. He was taken by surprise at work and his family got a note after wards. The trial wasn't fair and he was angered by the betrayal he gotten. Mendel Avery, his most promising pupil had worked for Rowle against him.
Joseph left the house at this point, aged 20, already having a 1 year old daughter and a fiance himself. Callisa Bulstrode, a cousin of his sister in law.
In Azkaban the time seemed to stand still, it was cold and often during winters he wasn't sure if he was going to make it. The dememtor suck all the happiness away and left him pretty much plain. There were times he almost forgot the faces of his wife and children. Luckily he managed to smuggle a picture of them in the cell to keep him from losing his mind.
It's now 1883 and Benjamin is about to be a free man again. What has become of him isn't clear but he will be there. And it seemed that Rowle has gotten his karma back, he's gone but what happened to him, nobody knows.
After he had been released he hoped to make up things with his family. The first weeks he believed that happiness could return. His memory was still filled with holes he hoped to recover. There were also still nightmares and sudden off moments due to his stay. Mentally he wasn’t as he used to be but he functioned well enough to get an invitation to become the head of the magical creatures department at the ministry. He took on this job with seriousness. At first he thought this was his chance for revenge but the more he met the people that were creatures the more he realized the vision he build wasn’t 100% right.
His life was once more ripped apart when someone broke into their house, left his wife in a coma and kidnapped the twins. The ministry searched but couldn’t find anything. Burke became restless and eventually found them, with a vampire. The same thing as they had become. For a long time he tried to reason with them and convince them that he knew what was best for them. With all risks of losing his job and image. His children were worth more than that. Eventually he had to let them go, knowing they were no longer the Isobel-Grace and Brendan he knew. Still the creatures wore their faces so he was unable to kill them. Something had made him soft. Even so he promised them he wouldn’t spare their life a second time. May they get noticed by the ministry, he had to stay loyal to his work.
Meanwhile his eldest daughter became trouble as well. Benjamin is still trying to fix their relationship and make her happy. In a short time they had lost their stable life and Ben blamed himself. He often visited his comatosed wife but didn’t notice much progress. One certain night she woke up, completely out of her mind. She became violent and blamed him for every bad thing that happened to her and the children. She wished he was never released from Azakaban. The only thing he brought back was chaos and suffering. Despite it all he brought her back home and took care of her as best as he could. Because he still loved her despite what she said to him.
Until the day he woke up with her hands around his throat. She was trying to kill him. And he would have allowed her too if it wasn’t for his fear to leave their last daughter behind. Ben managed to get out her grip and called the healers who brought her to the asylum. It broke his heart to do this but he knew it was the best for her.
There hadn’t been one restful night ever since. This house contained so many memories. He had to leave them behind or else he’d follow his wife soon. Benjamin resigned from his job, knowing he risked not getting a job ever again but he went with it. The job became too much for him, even if he felt responsible and feared his leave would take a bad turn for the creatures. It went against his vision in the past but he had tried to find a way for creatures to live somewhat normally.
Together with his eldest daughter he moved to Hogsmeade for something different. He couldn’t get himself to sell the house but couldn’t live there anymore. He went through several job applications but couldn’t find something he liked or got accepted too. Most people seemed scared of him.
His luck returned when his grandfather decided to retire and did a good word for him. The headmaster needed to be convinced first. Nobody would easily let a former Azkaban prisoner teach the children. But eventually he was the right man for the job. Potions and Runes being his specialties. This year he started a little later due to arrangements which needed to be completely rounded. But he wants to take on this new chance with an open heart.

Because he was always told to be silent, he tried to practice his things as quiet as possible, until his parents found out. That was when he got the warning not too use magic outside of Hogwarts until he was 17. Too bad for Benjamin who was very driven to learn how to use it had to wait still a few years.
To fill up his time now he got home schooled by his mother as his father was off at work. Caractacus first began using magic when he was 9, Benjamin was happy for his brother and kind of relieved himself. The years of home schooling were peaceful and when Verucca reached a certain age, Ben enjoyed teaching her to talk and often read her bed time stories when father was working and mother somewhere else. They had two house elves to take care of their things. Both female one named Stella and the other Zoey. They took care of the house hold. Benjamin at first didn't pay much attention to the elves, they were just kind of there. It happened a few times that his parents had to remind him to be more strict to those creatures.
They needed to teach their second son clearly how this world worked and was divided in different groups. He learnt about good and bad(the way purebloods do those things) and was already quite prepared for what he was about to face at Hogwarts. The time flew and Caractacus already was sent to Hogwarts. To delight of the parents, their eldest son was sorted into Slytherin. In just a few years he'd go too and he couldn't be more exited. Of course he had been a bit nervous and he still was what Caractacus called him 'too soft'.
When he finally was old enough he almost got sorted into Ravenclaw, the sorting hat had quite a hard time sorting him. Because it can look further than what a person now is at the moment. It seemed that Ben had all the potential for a Ravenclaw right now, however what his future showed was more Slytherin material. So he ended up being in the same house as his elder brother. At Hogwarts their bound kind of grew the positive way. Benjamin didn't have much friends, just some people who wanted to work with him because his grades were good. He showed an immense talent at Potions, Ancient Runes and Charms. Which were also his three subjects he would later get O's with at his O.W.L.s. There were also some elder students who tried to pick on him because he didn't seem to show the same confidence as all other pureblood children seemed to do. Besides he always had been quite small and as a boy it's easy to be called a girl then. Caractacus stood up for his younger brother and their bound as brothers seemed to have finally grown strong. Caractacus joined the Quidditch team as keeper(something Benjamin sucked at) and Ben would often cheer on his elder brother.
Suddenly Frederick and Catherine were expecting another child. This one wasn't planned but they decided to just sit it out and welcome the baby in the family. The new young boy was 14 years apart from Benjamin but he still was glad to have a little brother. Their sister seemed to have more gone her own way.
What they didn't know was that their father got placed to another department. Before he worked at the Department of International Magical Cooperation with as sub job International Magical Office of Law.
However due to the increasing amount of werewolf attacks and the former head of the werewolf capture unit being killed during work he was placed to the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures. Frederick was angry at first but knew he didn't have much of a choice. So he just went with it and didn't dare to tell his wife. Sometimes he didn't return home for a few days because he was recovering in St. Mungo's.
Even when Benjamin could have noticed his father suddenly acting weird he was with his head somewhere else. There was a girl, Leona, his first crush, things that happen when you're a 15 year old boy almost turning 16. While they first started as only friends(his first friend not to mention) those butterflies developed quickly for him. She may be a Gryffindor, a house his parents weren't particularly were found off but she seemed to have it all for him. What happens when you're in love, you forget to take responsibilities. He never took the effort to find out or he didn't want to realize that this girl wasn't from one of the pureblood families that were well known. No in fact she wasn't a pureblood at all but born in a middle class muggle family.
While his parents maybe never would find out, his brother who went to the same school, did. Benjamin received the opposite reaction of what he expected, Caractacus wasn't angry at all, he just warned him that if their parents would find out, Benjamin would be disowned. At first Benjamin shrugged his older brother off and told him things would turn out just fine. For Benjamin always had been a man or then still a boy with a plan, he could predict how things would go because he had knowledge of people and how they worked. This did angered Caractacus and he was told that if he didn't get rid of the girl, their parents would hear about this. It was foolish to choose a teens love over his family who had supported him through the years. His older brother told him he had to prove his loyalty to the family and his honor as a pureblood. Show that he didn't love someone with filthy blood at all. Scared and against his will he gave Leona a potion which turned out to be poison, he knew this all to well, for he had brewed it himself. The last thing he said to her before she let out her last breath was 'I'm sorry'.
From that day on Benjamin's personality hardened a little bit, he was still capable of showing happiness and kindness but he had been more careful all around. It was also the last year he shared with Caractacus at Hogwarts who graduated from his N.E.W.T.s with okay grades. Caractacus left the house early as he found a nice girl and got permission of his parents to marry her.
The shift between his age of 16 and 17 had done good for him. Benjamin seemed to have grown more responsible and mature. Without trouble he passed his sixth year and got ready for his final year at Hogwarts. He'd start his N.E.W.T.s with full confidence. There were a few occupations which he was interested in. Just after he turned 18, January 1862, half way through his final year at Hogwarts he got engaged with a girl his parents chose for him. She was two years younger and still in Hogwarts herself. However his final half year together at school helped them get to know each other. It seemed all like the best year for the Burkes. A new couple, Benjamin graduating with the best grades of his class, Verruca passing her first year flawlessly, Caractacus counting days for the birth of his first child and was together with his best friend preparing to open their shop together. Frederick and Catherine were happy and the proudest parents in the world. Even little Joseph began to develop perfectly. The old couple who slowly would have to say good bye to both their eldest children wanted to celebrate. In November 1862 just a month after Johnatan, the first child of Caractacus and his wife was born, Frederick and Catherine had the house for themselves. They wanted to spend some quality time together like he hadn't been able to do so for years. Verruca and Joseph were staying with family and Benjamin was meeting his family in law.
That night a werewolf pack of a furious savaged alpha male who had lost his wife and pups to Fredericks work(who still hadn't told his family he got another job). He came to take revenge which he had sworn the day he lost his loved ones. Both Frederick and Catherine were brutally slaughtered and found the next day by the family which Verucca and Joseph stayed with. The whole family was embittered and their hate towards magical creatures grew, believing it was a mindless attack. However Benjamin told Caractacus and the rest not to lower themselves to their levels and the authorities would deal with it. Caractacus didn't seem to take it all too well and shadowed himself from the rest of the family. Still the eldest got the house and Ben got both house elves. This left Benjamin and his young fiancee with two siblings underage to take care of themselves.
For a few years they lived at the house of Cordelia's parents as Benjamin started his auror training. It were busy days and often he made extra hours, trying to be both an auror, a lover, a parent and a sibling at the same time. He'd been more serious than before. In 1883 he heard that his brother had opened his shop but he only came to check by once.
A year later Cordelia and Benjamin became wife and husband, Verucca being the flower girl and little Joseph giving the rings. Benjamin had grown very found of his youngest sibling their relationship was between that of siblings and parent/child. Days seemed to have brightened once more. Once the auror training was done Benjamin began to earn more and soon with the money he got from his parents, he bought their own deluxe house. Just in time for their first child to be born, Arabella Catherine. It was a day of joy and Joseph seemed to be just as proud as Benjamin. For the 11 year old Hufflepuff student it was a joy to not be the youngest of the family anymore.
Sadly Benjamin couldn't get along too well with the head of his department. Robert Rowle couldn't stand Benjamin and his know it all attitude. Even when the young auror did his job more than perfect. Perhaps that was why Robert didn't like his college, some said that one day Burke would take over Rowle's office and become head auror. However that never happened. Benjamin got sick and tired of all the drama and moved to the Hit Wizard department. That same year (1867) a couple of twins was born. A boy and a girl, he couldn't be happier with his perfect family. Even when he raised the children strictly there also were great times of fun and love because he kind of missed that in his own childhood.
Happy years went by and Benjamin got promoted and became the head of his department. This bringing him on equal foot with Rowle. He trained his hit wizards well and for a few years handled the authority. The streets seemed saver as he also went after criminals with but a little evidense against him. Using his runic magic he could build liar detectors, and even when they weren't approved by the ministry, they worked. Rowle was furious that he Hit Wizards were doing what was his job and planned a plot against Benjamin.
In the end Rowle got his way and Benjamin was taken to Azkaban in 1878 for things he hadn't done. The thing he regrets most is that he wasn't even home when it happened. He was taken by surprise at work and his family got a note after wards. The trial wasn't fair and he was angered by the betrayal he gotten. Mendel Avery, his most promising pupil had worked for Rowle against him.
Joseph left the house at this point, aged 20, already having a 1 year old daughter and a fiance himself. Callisa Bulstrode, a cousin of his sister in law.
In Azkaban the time seemed to stand still, it was cold and often during winters he wasn't sure if he was going to make it. The dememtor suck all the happiness away and left him pretty much plain. There were times he almost forgot the faces of his wife and children. Luckily he managed to smuggle a picture of them in the cell to keep him from losing his mind.
It's now 1883 and Benjamin is about to be a free man again. What has become of him isn't clear but he will be there. And it seemed that Rowle has gotten his karma back, he's gone but what happened to him, nobody knows.
After he had been released he hoped to make up things with his family. The first weeks he believed that happiness could return. His memory was still filled with holes he hoped to recover. There were also still nightmares and sudden off moments due to his stay. Mentally he wasn’t as he used to be but he functioned well enough to get an invitation to become the head of the magical creatures department at the ministry. He took on this job with seriousness. At first he thought this was his chance for revenge but the more he met the people that were creatures the more he realized the vision he build wasn’t 100% right.
His life was once more ripped apart when someone broke into their house, left his wife in a coma and kidnapped the twins. The ministry searched but couldn’t find anything. Burke became restless and eventually found them, with a vampire. The same thing as they had become. For a long time he tried to reason with them and convince them that he knew what was best for them. With all risks of losing his job and image. His children were worth more than that. Eventually he had to let them go, knowing they were no longer the Isobel-Grace and Brendan he knew. Still the creatures wore their faces so he was unable to kill them. Something had made him soft. Even so he promised them he wouldn’t spare their life a second time. May they get noticed by the ministry, he had to stay loyal to his work.
Meanwhile his eldest daughter became trouble as well. Benjamin is still trying to fix their relationship and make her happy. In a short time they had lost their stable life and Ben blamed himself. He often visited his comatosed wife but didn’t notice much progress. One certain night she woke up, completely out of her mind. She became violent and blamed him for every bad thing that happened to her and the children. She wished he was never released from Azakaban. The only thing he brought back was chaos and suffering. Despite it all he brought her back home and took care of her as best as he could. Because he still loved her despite what she said to him.
Until the day he woke up with her hands around his throat. She was trying to kill him. And he would have allowed her too if it wasn’t for his fear to leave their last daughter behind. Ben managed to get out her grip and called the healers who brought her to the asylum. It broke his heart to do this but he knew it was the best for her.
There hadn’t been one restful night ever since. This house contained so many memories. He had to leave them behind or else he’d follow his wife soon. Benjamin resigned from his job, knowing he risked not getting a job ever again but he went with it. The job became too much for him, even if he felt responsible and feared his leave would take a bad turn for the creatures. It went against his vision in the past but he had tried to find a way for creatures to live somewhat normally.
Together with his eldest daughter he moved to Hogsmeade for something different. He couldn’t get himself to sell the house but couldn’t live there anymore. He went through several job applications but couldn’t find something he liked or got accepted too. Most people seemed scared of him.
His luck returned when his grandfather decided to retire and did a good word for him. The headmaster needed to be convinced first. Nobody would easily let a former Azkaban prisoner teach the children. But eventually he was the right man for the job. Potions and Runes being his specialties. This year he started a little later due to arrangements which needed to be completely rounded. But he wants to take on this new chance with an open heart.
