So we can enable guests to post in the shoutbox. Yay or nay? As it stands currently, guests to the site have no way of expressing interest without first creating an account. That can be off-putting.

I think this is a good idea. A lot of sites have guest friendly chats. It will allow guest to feel more welcomed and get answers to their questions.

I wasn't aware it was closed to guests. I hadn't paid attention. I agree it should definitely be open. Some times the best way to decide if a site is worth joining is talking to the members first

I've enabled it to guest posting.  I think some us might end up using it ourselves when we don't want to login? Or can't, for whatever reason. |
