Inna Anfisa Rusakov
NAME: Inna Anfisa Rusakov
AGE: 14
SOCIAL CLASS: Lower-class
SCHOOL YEAR: Fourth Year
PLAY-BY: Hailee Steinfeld
BlOOD STATUS: Half-blood
EYES: Normally a vibrant hazel, under the right light her eyes will appear as to have a hue of green near the iris.
HAIR: Inna's hair is the same shade of chocolate brown as her father’s; it falls far down her back, to her waist and is wavy in texture.
SKIN TONE: She has a fair, cool skin tone.
HEIGHT & WEIGHT: 5'2 & 119lbs
DISTINGUISHING MARKS: Her thick, dark eyebrows, similar to her older sister, and a small white scar across her hand from a burn she received when mother once shoved her and she'd kept herself from falling by holding on to the hot stove.
OVERALL PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: A pale skin tone, thick, arched eyebrows, a short, straight nose, and naturally dark pink lips; Inna possesses these traits, all of which are said by so many to be exactly the same as her father's. Though her eyes were abnormally large as a baby and even on into her years spent as a toddler, they now appear only slightly larger than average, thick eyelashes adorning the pair of vibrant hazel yes. Lack of being from a wealthy family prevents her from wearing any jewelry that is not a family heirloom or having fabrics with lively colors. But she likes to think she makes do with her pale, dull colors and coarsely tailored clothes. From time to time, she has been known to snatch a piece of Alina's clothing, for she does appreciate her older sister's fashion sense.
NON-MAGICAL SKILLS: She's good with numbers, keeping track of math problems in her head without having to use paper and counting time. Inna is a swift runner, though she herself doesn't consider it a skill worth noting. She often used this to escape her mother, holding tightly to her twin's hand. Russian is her mother tongue, but she knows English well, having lived in the country now for the majority of her life.
MAGICAL SKILLS: From her classes, she's learned a few useful household charms, though prefers the offensive spells she has been taught. Currently, she doesn't have a desire to gain some particular magical skill, unless it involved helping her become better at studying runic numbers and translating them to words. She's a decent flyer and has thought of joining her house's Quidditch team, but lack of money has prevented this.
BEST/WORST CLASSES: Inna doesn't necessarily have a best or worst class, gliding along pretty evenly with all of the required courses. When it comes to the courses she was able to choose herself, however, she excels vastly. It has something to do with them being her personal choice and not something forced upon her. Magical Theory, Arithmancy, and Muggle Studies are her most favored classes.
WEAKNESSES: She is hard on herself, aware and afraid of the feeling she carries within her of not being enough. While she tries to leave the past in the past, Inna is guilty of recalling every instance in which her mother proved her dislike for her. Shy; this often results in her being laughed at by other students when she doesn't respond in class. They call her 'mute' or 'deaf', all because she's shutting down inside, frightened of speaking up around an adult.
STRENGTHS: Responsible; Inna knows the financial situation her family faces and makes decisions based upon it, choosing to sacrifice some wishes in order to not bother her father. For her, the past is the past and it should remain that way. To linger on it, brings no joy. Inna is a fighter, in regards to her emotions and things that have happened regarding her family situation. Any negative situation that is thrown at her is something she will fight, rather than simply accept.
QUIRKS & HABITS: Around adults confronting her, she looks at the floor, her arms shaking. She smiles coyly around boys that she has an interest in. Inna takes a piece of clothing from her older sister time to time.
OVERALL PERSONALITY DESCRIPTION: Inna, even though growing up resented and neglected and acknowledging that she was unwanted by her mother, is very energetic around those she calls friends and has a pleasant demeanor, making it easy for most to feel comfortable around her. She's genuinely upbeat and happy, as well as imaginative, something she felt was necessary to survive her mother's wrath when she was younger. When in distress of facing some difficult task, such as the topic of her family or mother being brought up, Inna shuts down and escapes into another world, pretending that she is somewhere far off. She's also known for being shy around new people, as evidenced from the several times she has sunk beneath her desk when being called upon by a Professor in class. Inna tends to be an underachiever when it comes to academics though not due to lack of intelligence, but is very skilled in athletics. Though she is bright and cheerful, Inna has a serious side that will arise when needed. It is not often witnessed, this other side of her, but it would make one think to see it that the girl has almost two different states of being. This is a drastic change when it happens, though it is rare. She has recently become more interested in males and tends to find herself focusing more on her appearance than other matters, whilst also gushing about handsome boys with her twin sister.

CHARACTER HISTORY: Vera Pavov (the mother) was always a bit strange. Her parents often worried about her, from adolescence to adulthood, and despite her marriage to Timur Rusakov (the father), things did not change much. Vera was prone to sudden outburst of rage and was more than willing to curse one or two people a day if they so much as looked at her wrong. She often said the voices told her to do things, but they became a bit quieter when she met Timur Rusakov on a snowy night in the streets of Russia. Vera had been walking barefoot in the snow when Timur had come across her, deeply concerned for her health and mental state he took her into the nearest inn where he helped her warm up and later found her home. It was several long months before they crossed paths again. This time Vera was feeling like her normal self and could hold a conversation with Timur. Timur felt a certain obligation to the woman's life he'd saved and began to court her. A year later they were engaged when Vera was 22 and Timur 24. The wed the following year and moved the year after that to the other side of Russia.
Vera had multiple occasions where she became agitated and wanted nothing to do with anyone. Her anger resulted in her harming a muggle in broad daylight. She would have done more than harm the poor fellow had Timur not been around. Unfortunately he could not protect his wife from the authorities on both the wizarding and muggle end. He did however plead for them to send her to the Asylum instead of Azkaban. His pleas were thankfully heard and Vera spent a year in the Asylum. She returned less deranged and Timur moved them to the country to keep her away from people and in a less stressful setting. Vera seemed to like the peaceful countryside, where she busied herself with knitting and pottery and gardening. When she came to Timur and requested that she wanted a child to care for, he was to say the least unsure, but a year later in August of 1864, Savin Rusakov was born. The first child of eight. Vera seemed to improve with Savin to care for. Timur was able to work more often, but the family would remain poor. In 1867, Vera gave birth to Lev Rusakov. She was upset that she had no had a girl, and thus neglected the second son. Timur would have to quite work and watch over Lev, for Vera wanted nothing to do with the boy and they could not afford a nanny. Things didn't get any better, for in 1868, Yuri Rusakov was born. Vera was so upset that she attempted to drown the child. Timur was horrified, but could not send her to the Asylum, he did not have it in him and there was no one to watch the children. To his relief, 1869 was the year that Alina was born. The first girl of the Rusakov family meant that Vera stopped directing her anger at Lev and Yuri. She would never harm her precious Savin, for he was her first born. Timur returned to full time work and Vera stabilized once more. The money flowed, but with so many children, Timur was struggling. The family would have to move to the city into a ratty apartment.
Vera did not take the change well. Timur was beginning to believe that nothing could satisfy his wife. In 1870 she gave birth to twins Inna and Talya that nearly killed her. Vera spent a year in the hospital with the girls and Timur had to spend his days playing mommy, daddy, and caregiver while his wife and baby girls were in the hospital. In 1873, against Timur's wishes, Vera gave birth to twins Toma and Mishka Rusakov. Timur was officially penniless and would have to request money from his father-in-law, Vladimir Pavov to move to London so that he could put the children through school at Hogwarts. Knowing that Timur had stuck by his daughter's side, he agreed to pay for the cost of moving and most of the schooling, including tuition, books, and supplies. He left wands and robes and pets to Timur. None of the children would receive pets, but Timur purchased their wands and robes.
When she was not yet five, Inna received her first punishment to her recollection from her mother, a hard slap against her check that knocked her to the floor. She cried, but it only made her mother angrier and she was quick to run and hide behind her older brother Yuri. I'm sorry, she said those two words several times, her little fingers clutching tightly to Yuri's shirt. Mother yelled for a while more and then she was gone, mumbling something about Alina needing her. With Yuri's guiding hand, she was led to her room, where Talya waited on her. The door opened and she ran to join her twin on the lower bunk-bed, the two huddling together and starting to cry all over again in unison. Eventually, the crying wore off, though Talya still held a hand to the cheek of her twin their mother had slapped, while Inna produced a a biscuit wrapped in clothe from within her skirt. It was for Talya, because mother had sent her to bed without supper the night before and had yet to allow her to leave the room. Although Inna had tried to persuade her to come out anyway, the younger twin had been too frightened.
Sometimes, when she was in trouble with mother, Inna would run to Savin along with Talya, hiding in his room. He was the oldest and mother loved him very much. If he didn't want her to harm one of them, then the woman would listen. Or so Inna had thought. There were moments when she thought Savin truly cared for her, like Yuri did, though Lev seemed to care for no one. It was when mother was sent away that she no longer thought he cared at all. Yuri was soon to begin his schooling at Hogwarts, and he'd gotten into an argument with mother. She could hear the shouting from the room she shared with her twin and Alina. Rather than venture out to see what was happening or witness Yuri being punished yet again, she chose to stay in the room. But then there were different shouts, the sound of glass breaking, footsteps leaving the house, and a strange smell. Inna rushed to open the door to the room, only to find a fire blocking her exit to the front door. The little girl screamed for help, calling out for her father, Talya, and Yuri, but none came. The smoke became overwhelming for her lungs and she collapsed to the floor, the fire growing ever closer. Before it could consume her, authorities had arrived to contain it and she was rescued by a man she did not recognize. That man carried her outside and she felt fresh air entering her lungs once more, coughing due to the smoke she'd inhaled. She would not have known what was happening if not for mother's screams when she was being dragged away. Inna had a stay in St. Mungos after the event and came home to a house with no mother.
She was not upset that mother was gone. Talya told her how mother had started the fire and Inna was angry at the woman, because she'd nearly caused her death. It was a relief not to have someone yelling at you or hitting you inside the home anymore, though Savin had changed. He did not want to be around her any longer and only stuck close to Alina. It seemed a very happy time, still, with mother gone. She was able to smile more, though Yuri was tormented by Alina and Savin for being the one to have told the truth about their mother. Inna stuck by his side, along with Talya, defending him from the two that now resented him. It was difficult for Inna, because Yuri had shut himself away and she didn't know if he even wanted her to be near him anymore. The partially good days ended all too soon. Mother, the woman that she dreaded, returned to the home. It was the year that Inna and Talya would be starting Hogwarts. She acted differently, kinder, as if she was not the same woman that had shown through her actions how much she wished Inna had never been born.
Then grandfather came to stay. Inna liked him very much, for he spoiled her with love and attention. He spoke Russian with her and she was glad for it, because it helped her not to lose the first language she'd been taught. At school, she wrote letters to him constantly, though Inna avoided asking about mother. Perhaps she was acting kind now, but would return to the same mother lately. The young girl was greatly upset when her grandfather left and wept into her pillow after he'd gone. Sadness did not last long, however, because mother changed again. She was back to her old self. In the dead of the night, the woman attempted to strangle Yuri in his sleep. Inna had heard the cries of her brothers from their room and left her bed to go see what was the matter. She saw father rush inside and upon glancing into the room, found her mother being dragged away from Yuri and the older boy gasping for air. For what seemed forever, she stood still, in shock that her mother had actually attempted to murder one of her siblings. The authorities came to take mother away, but she did not watch. She was with Yuri, crying for his plight.
Now mother was gone and it seemed to be that she would not return. Inna started to notice father's kindness more and was in turn, kind to him. She told herself to forget the past, because it only brought bad memories. Yet it seemed impossible to forget. Life was much better without mother, but there was still an absence felt in the home and a great rift between the siblings. Inna did not like Alina more and more as the years passed. When they were younger, she'd simply thought that her older sister tried to act like mother, but it became clearer that she was indeed a replica of mother. At school, she avoids thoughts of her family situation, most especially mother, and is seemingly a normal young girl. Interested in boys, clothing, and genuinely happy, Inna is admittedly the happiest she's ever been right now.
