NAME: Jacques Christoph de Montmorency

BlOOD STATUS: Pureblood
EYES: Blue that changes color, depending on his mood and the lighting. It has tiny specks of dark brown and gray that can be seen upon closer inspection and is rimmed with black, that makes the pair of blues pop out
HAIR: Sandy. It is majorly dark blonde but with dark brown and light brown mixes. It's straight and he usually keeps it smooth and kept.
SKINTONE: Olive-skinned with no trace of freckles
HEIGHT & WEIGHT: 5'8" and 143 lbs
DISTINGUISHING MARKS: gnawed off fingernails from frequent nail-biting
OVERALL PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: He's a sweet lad that with a good posture. He usually has his head bent when walking alone and can mostly be seen with a book in hand. His hair is always smoothly combed and kept clean. He walks very lightly so his footsteps don't make a lot of noise. For someone his height, he's on the thin side, mainly because he tends to choose his food. He mostly appears awkward or too conscious especially in crowded areas or in places he is not comfortable with.
NON-MAGICAL SKILLS: He has a very good memory and can recite something from a book immediately, especially if they are quotes that he loves. He is a writer, though not published YET. He loves to write random journal entries and wish to publish his essays when the right time comes...to that, he does not have any answer yet.
MAGICAL SKILLS: He can almost perform wandless magic, but after the broken-antique-vase incident, he was too afraid to try. He busied himself instead with Charms and can perform well as long as his magic is channeled through his wand.
BEST/WORST CLASSES: Best: Charms, Potions, Ancient Runes, History of Magic/Hogwarts Worst: Flying, COMC, Herbology, DADA
WEAKNESSES: He's very insecure and continues to question himself everyday. Where his older brothers excel in their own field (Garreth with his musical talent and social skills; Wilke with his sports and charm), he feels like he does not measure up to them. He's also touchy and sensitive and at times would get him into trouble. There are always constant mood swings and he tries as much to avoid that but it still takes control of him.
STRENGTHS: He is smart, no doubt about it. But his insecurities get the better of him and so he still does not believe he is. He is very good at logic and problems and his memory is excellent. Just like Garreth, he can take note of things easily.
QUIRKS & HABITS: He tends to rub the palms of his hands together or on his pants when he feels nervous or uncomfortable. He also fiddles with things if he's holding them.
OVERALL PERSONALITY DESCRIPTION: He is very studious and would be the only one occupying their library at home. He loves to read and take note of important matters in his journal to which he checks from time to time. He's understanding and can be considered caring to those he finds worthy and special. But for others, he tends to give a cold shoulder. He would sometimes give short replies to people he is not comfortable with, despite being thought of as rude. Unlike his brothers who have sunny dispositions, he can hold grudges if that person does not meld well with him.

CHARACTER HISTORY:
Francine Comtois came from Beauxbatons and met Abélard during their socials at Hogwarts. She was one of the students chosen to be sent off to Hogwarts. During their short stay there, the two became attracted to each other which developed into a somewhat fling. It did not last long as Francine had to go back to France and leave Abélard. Unbeknownst to him, he became her first ever heartbreak. She owled him from time to time and noticed that his replies became shorter and took longer until it disappeared altogether.
Francine was not the most successful of students and ended up working at a front desk of a posh hotel in France. She was good at Charms and made sure the place looked its best. She did not know that the place she ended up working would be the same place she would meet the man who gave her the first and deepest heartbreak. One night, she was about to leave when she noticed one of the staff arguing with a guest about a room reservation. She approached the two and to her surprise, she lost herself in the eyes of Abélard de Montmorency, the guest. He did not recognize her at first until she introduced herself and had to add some memories of what she remembered about the lad. Try as he might, Abélard only remembered little about poor Francine but still exulted her beauty and decided to take her out for dinner after she helped her with his suite.
This dinner turned into yet another affair to which Francine thought she would finally be reunited with her love. He broke her heart the second time around when he told her that he was already married and with a child. She cried in his arms that night and he consoled her. She was still so blinded with adoration towards the man that she agreed to keep seeing him until he would leave back to London. Weeks after he left, Francine found she was with child. Her parents were not happy and demanded Abélard to come back and acknowledge the child. He did. But they were not able to do anything since Abélard was already married. Agnes, his wife, came to the rescue, giving the family of Francine Galleons to get them to leave Abélard in peace. In need of money, the Comtoises accepted the offer and let them go.
She gave birth to a son and named him Jacques Christoph. When he was five, she met a Muggle born businessman, named Fabian, who loved her with all of him and proposed marriage to her if she would only give up her son. She was torn between keeping Christoph, or being Fabian. She chose the latter and knew that Chris would be in better hands if he lived with the Montmorencies. She owled them, pleading them to take full custody of her son. Agnes and Abélard were more than welcome with Christoph and brought him back to the estate.
He grew up rather insecure as he saw his two brothers' bond and he felt like an outcast. Although the two older siblings were very welcoming, he chose instead to busy himself with books to which Mrs. de Montmorency provided. When the letter to Hogwarts arrived, his family gave him a surprise party to which caused him to finally soften up to them. He calls Abélard and Agnes mother and father as they were the ones with whom he has grown up with. He still, however, keeps a small locket in his room with Francine's face.
In school, he performed well in his classes, especially those that did not require much physical work or socializing with others. He preferred to work alone than with a group or a partner as he is very much an introvert.
