BlOOD STATUS: Half-blood

SKINTONE: Pale with freckles on his face
HEIGHT & WEIGHT: 6'0" and 132 lbs.
DISTINGUISHING MARKS: Scratch marks on his back, and a little one that ran on the right side of his mouth. He also has scars on his wrist and arms.
OVERALL PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Yuri is a scraggly young boy; tall but thin that walks with a slumped posture, head bent down. He's appearance is somewhat pitiful and sickly. He usually walks around with a frown or a morose expression. His lips are almost drooping downwards and his eyes are downcast.
NON-MAGICAL SKILLS: He's good at cooking and arranging things to make them appear organized. He was forced to cook at such a young age; especially when his mother is not around or there would be no food left for him and his other siblings.
MAGICAL SKILLS: He's good at transfiguration, practicing early for him to easily turn objects to use as protection against the physical abuse he got from his parents, or the people around.
BEST/WORST CLASSES: His best classes would be Charms, Transfiguration, Potions, and Herbology. His worst classes would be Flying and COMC. He's very afraid of heights and somehow he doesn't know how to deal with animals and creatures as he's very afraid of them.

STRENGTHS: He is kind and he is very compassionate. He is the type of person who knows how to stick to the people that he likes and he can be very trustworthy. His loyalty can sometimes cause him a lot more than he bargains for and he believes in doing the right thing despite being hated for it.
QUIRKS & HABITS: His mouth usually expresses how he feels. If he doesn't like a person, he'd possibly give a half smirk-half smile and look away. If he likes the person, he can go as far as giving them a smile that would even show teeth.
OVERALL PERSONALITY DESCRIPTION: He is a person who believes in the right act no matter the consequences. This personality of him would really put him in a lot of compromising situations and the consequences would leave a lasting mark. He is not a person who easily trusts people but when he does, he becomes very attached to them and would even defend them no matter what. His family's history has a lot to do with his attitude and behavior. He was an abused child and instead of making that his strength, he retreated in himself and let it affect him; mentally, physically, and emotionally. He has bouts of depression and he is not one to hide his emotions to people he is comfortable with.

CHARACTER HISTORY: (borrowed intro from Mishka)
Vera Pavov (the mother) was always a bit strange. Her parents often worried about her, from adolescence to adulthood, and despite her marriage to Timur Rusakov (the father), things did not change much. Vera was prone to sudden outburst of rage and was more than willing to curse one or two people a day if they so much as looked at her wrong. She often said the voices told her to do things, but they became a bit quieter when she met Timur Rusakov on a snowy night in the streets of Russia. Vera had been walking barefoot in the snow when Timur had come across her, deeply concerned for her health and mental state he took her into the nearest inn where he helped her warm up and later found her home. It was several long months before they crossed paths again. This time Vera was feeling like her normal self and could hold a conversation with Timur. Timur felt a certain obligation to the woman's life he'd saved and began to court her. A year later they were engaged when Vera was 22 and Timur 24. The wed the following year and moved the year after that to the other side of Russia.
Vera had multiple occasions where she became agitated and wanted nothing to do with anyone. Her anger resulted in her harming a muggle in broad daylight. She would have done more than harm the poor fellow had Timur not been around. Unfortunately he could not protect his wife from the authorities on both the wizarding and muggle end. He did however plead for them to send her to the Asylum instead of Azkaban. His pleas were thankfully heard and Vera spent a year in the Asylum. She returned less deranged and Timur moved them to the country to keep her away from people and in a less stressful setting. Vera seemed to like the peaceful countryside, where she busied herself with knitting and pottery and gardening. When she came to Timur and requested that she wanted a child to care for, he was to say the least unsure, but a year later in August of 1864, Savin Rusakov was born. The first child of eight. Vera seemed to improve with Savin to care for. Timur was able to work more often, but the family would remain poor. In 1867, Vera gave birth to Lev Rusakov. She was upset that she had no had a girl, and thus neglected the second son. Timur would have to quite work and watch over Lev, for Vera wanted nothing to do with the boy and they could not afford a nanny. Things didn't get any better, for in 1868, Yuri Rusakov was born. Vera was so upset that she attempted to drown the child. Timur was horrified, but could not send her to the Asylum, he did not have it in him and there was no one to watch the children.
Yuri did not know that his mother tried to drown him when he grew up. He only discovered that one day in an argument between him and Savin. Savin told him that in one of her fits, he heard her confess that she wanted to drown Yuri. Yuri, of course, being a child and a logical one, believed that his mother indeed is capable of doing so as reflected to the way she treated them, especially him. At such an early age, Yuri had already felt the hatred towards him, especially when his father was not around. He sometimes waited outside the entrance for his father to return, that way, he knew he would be safe from his mother.
When his sister was born, he felt a little relieved as their mother was not too temperamental anymore. He DID feel even more neglected as she doted with Sav and Alina (her first daughter), yet treated him and Lev like rubbish. He always wondered if there was any reason he did as a child that upset her. In vain, he blamed himself and did as much to get his mother's attention. This was to no avail and poor Yuri tried in vain for nothing. It worsened when they moved to a ratty apartment and she furthermore neglected her second and third son. This was the time that Yuri had to learn how to cook as their mother only made enough for her and the other children. Yuri, being the kind child that he was, was always given extra by the vendors in the market, and that was what he used to make small meals for them to eat.
Vera then gave birth to twins, which worried Yuri as she blamed his two sisters for her brush with death. It was the start of the seed of hatred and withdrawal that was planted within the heart of the third son. He loved the twin sisters and gave them all his care. It was then he was beginning to doubt the sanity of his mother. With the simplest of mistakes, she would hit him or the twin sisters, and even Lev, but it was always Yuri she directed her anger towards. Yuri felt like an outcast in his own home and planned on running away for good if it weren't for his twin sisters.
They moved to London when the last two children, Mishka and Toma, were born. As a kid, Yuri struggled with learning the language and he was particularly bullied due to his accent and grammar as he did not speak English fluently. His appearance (scraggly hair and thin posture) did not fair well against the older children who continuously pestered him. He told Sav about this, but somehow his older brother felt indifferent and told him he deserved it. Lev just did not seem to care in fear that he would be bullied as well. Lev was mostly not around so Yuri was the one who received all the physical and verbal abuse from Vera. He defended his younger siblings and that seemed to enrage their mother more. Yuri was fine with being abused as long as his siblings were safe.
When Savin left for Hogwarts, he knew they were in much more trouble. Lev was not around most of the time and Alina had a dislike towards him which he cannot explain himself. He loved his siblings yet he did not know how to express it. Except maybe to Inna, his confidante, she was the only one he sees can understand him. He knew he was in a dysfunctional family and as young as he were, he fantasized of escaping and being free from them someday, or maybe being free from their mother.
Then one day all of that changed. His mother, his very own mother, attempted to kill him.
