NAME: Mishka Rusakov

SOCIAL CLASS: Lower Class
PLAY-BY: Milo Parker
BLOOD STATUS: Half-Blood
EYES: Gray
HAIR: Brown
SKINTONE: White
HEIGHT & WEIGHT: 5'1 98lbs
DISTINGUISHING MARKS: N/A
OVERALL PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: A thin little boy with somewhat neat brown hair and gray eyes, Mishka dresses in normal clothing, but nothing too fancy for his family is not rich. He's always smiling and often carries around a small bag to collect knickknacks here and there. A typical boy for the most part, he likes to play around which leaves his clothes stained.
NON-MAGICAL SKILLS: Mishka loves to fish. Growing up in the country side, it was about the only thing he could do aside from playing ball and learning to ride horses. He speaks Russian quite well considering he was born and raised there, and while he's only lived in Britain for a few years, he knows English quite well. He loves to explore and wants to explore ancient dwellings whenever he's older, probably a Curse Breaker depending on how well he does at school.
WEAKNESSES: Mishka is really close with his twin Toma, so that counts as a strength and a weakness. He'd do anything to keep his twin out of harms way, as well as any other member of his family. On the other hand, Mishka, thanks to his mother, doesn't often speak up about things that should be of concern, like bullying. If an adult were to ask him about a murder, he'd more than likely lie or claim he didn't know anything about it. In his family, speaking up is about as close to a betrayal as you can get. His brother Yuri found that out the hard way.
STRENGTHS: Mishka is a proud boy who's really pepper about almost everything. Very little can get him down and he's got a fiery spirit. He's not so much of a goof ball as he is in high spirits. Mishka just knows that it's okay to just get out and enjoy life. In his mind, life is too short to be reserved and quiet. He's seen how bad things can get and he'd much rather live on the brighter side of life.
QUIRKS & HABITS: Mishka has a tendency to explore, especially in places where he's not supposed to be. He'll crawl through the dirtiest of places just to see what's on the other end. "A lil' dirt never killed anyone," is something he often spouts whenever someone complains about him getting messy from all of his exploring.
OVERALL PERSONALITY DESCRIPTION: Mishka is a happy go lucky kid. While he used to be timid and a bit jumpy because of his mother, the past few years have been a lot easier to get out and learn a bit more about himself. Mishka is really excited about Hogwarts and looks forward to joining his brothers and sisters on the Hogwarts Express this coming September. He's heard a lot about the school for witchcraft and wizardry and often runs about the house pretending he's casting charms. He's a bit silly and not shy at all. He's also a very respectful boy that knows how to say "Yes ma'am," and "No ma'am," as well as "Yes sir," and "No sir." He admires and adores his family for the obstacles they have overcome in their life and he always thanks his father for all of the hard work that the man has put into raising him and his siblings. This is the reason that Mishka takes his education very seriously and plans to study and succeed at Hogwarts.

CHARACTER HISTORY: Vera Pavov (the mother) was always a bit strange. Her parents often worried about her, from adolescence to adulthood, and despite her marriage to Timur Rusakov (the father), things did not change much. Vera was prone to sudden outburst of rage and was more than willing to curse one or two people a day if they so much as looked at her wrong. She often said the voices told her to do things, but they became a bit quieter when she met Timur Rusakov on a snowy night in the streets of Russia. Vera had been walking barefoot in the snow when Timur had come across her, deeply concerned for her health and mental state he took her into the nearest inn where he helped her warm up and later found her home. It was several long months before they crossed paths again. This time Vera was feeling like her normal self and could hold a conversation with Timur. Timur felt a certain obligation to the woman's life he'd saved and began to court her. A year later they were engaged when Vera was 22 and Timur 24. The wed the following year and moved the year after that to the other side of Russia.
Vera had multiple occasions where she became agitated and wanted nothing to do with anyone. Her anger resulted in her harming a muggle in broad daylight. She would have done more than harm the poor fellow had Timur not been around. Unfortunately he could not protect his wife from the authorities on both the wizarding and muggle end. He did however plead for them to send her to the Asylum instead of Azkaban. His pleas were thankfully heard and Vera spent a year in the Asylum. She returned less deranged and Timur moved them to the country to keep her away from people and in a less stressful setting. Vera seemed to like the peaceful countryside, where she busied herself with knitting and pottery and gardening. When she came to Timur and requested that she wanted a child to care for, he was to say the least unsure, but a year later in August of 1864, Savin Rusakov was born. The first child of eight. Vera seemed to improve with Savin to care for. Timur was able to work more often, but the family would remain poor. In 1867, Vera gave birth to Lev Rusakov. She was upset that she had no had a girl, and thus neglected the second son. Timur would have to quite work and watch over Lev, for Vera wanted nothing to do with the boy and they could not afford a nanny. Things didn't get any better, for in 1868, Yuri Rusakov was born. Vera was so upset that she attempted to drown the child. Timur was horrified, but could not send her to the Asylum, he did not have it in him and there was no one to watch the children.
To his relief, 1869 was the year that Alina was born. The first girl of the Rusakov family meant that Vera stopped directing her anger at Lev and Yuri. She would never harm her precious Savin, for he was her first born. Timur returned to full time work and Vera stabilized once more. The money flowed, but with so many children, Timur was struggling. The family would have to move to the city into a ratty apartment.
Vera did not take the change well. Timur was beginning to believe that nothing could satisfy his wife. In 1870 she gave birth to twins Inna and Talya that nearly killed her. Vera spent a year in the hospital with the girls and Timur had to spend his days playing mommy, daddy, and caregiver while his wife and baby girls were in the hospital. In 1873, against Timur's wishes, Vera gave birth to twins Toma and Mishka Rusakov. Timur was officially penniless and would have to request money from his father-in-law, Vladimir Pavov to move to London so that he could put the children through school at Hogwarts. Knowing that Timur had stuck by his daughter's side, he agreed to pay for the cost of moving and most of the schooling, including tuition, books, and supplies. He left wands and robes and pets to Timur. None of the children would receive pets, but Timur purchased their wands and robes.
As for Mishka Pavov, the last son of the Rusakov family along with his twin brother, who was born ten minutes before him, Mishka grew up fairly normal. While he didn't receive the same affection as his sister Alina and Savin, he and Toma were not neglected like Lev and Yuri, or resented like Inna and Talya. It may have been due to Toma and Mishka being the official last children of Vera and Timur. While Timur showed equal love to his children, Vera clearly ranked them from most loved to least loved: Savin, Alina, Toma & Mishka, Lev, Inna & Talya, and last Yuri.
Mishka mostly avoided his mother and when things were bad, he would hide away with Toma in Savin's room and pretend like she wasn't going into a massive fit. He quickly learned that Savin's room was a safe haven, for his mother believed that Savin was an angel. When his Savin went off to school, Mishka saught safety with Alina. It was like this for all of the children. It was when Mishka was six did things go from bad to worse. For whatever reason his mother decided to go off the deep end right before Yuri started his eleventh year. Mishka for the most part has blocked out the memory, but he remembers Yuri asking to be taken to Diagon Alley in order to get his supplies since their father had not returned on time from work. Their mother had just snapped and when the children scattered, she decided to flush them out by setting the apartment on fire. He remembered men in suits coming to talk to them and healers and a lot of important looking people who asked them lots of questions about their mother. Yuri was the first to spill the beans and tell about how horrid Vera was to them. Timur could not arrive on time to defend his wife and when threatened to have his children taken away, he confessed that she was unstable and again she was taken off to the Asylum.
Mishka couldn't really say he missed his mother's company. He just didn't like that Alina thought it appropriate to boss them around as if she were now in charge, even though she wasn't the oldest. He also noticed the rift that was driven between the siblings. Savin turned his back on Yuri and left him to fend for himself when things got tough, blaming their mother's imprisonment on the younger boy. Yuri sort of withdrew himself from the family and Alina didn't make it any easier for him. Lev seemed to stop caring about just about anything or anyone. Inna and Talya were relieved to be rid of their mother, and could empathize with Yuri and stuck by their brother's side. Mishka and Toma were too young to really understand it all. When Mishka was eight, his mother finally returned from the Asylum. She seemed a changed woman, and begin to spend more time with all of her children. Timur was not willing to leave her alone and thus requested that her father come and stay with them since his wife had passed. Vladimir thought it was a scam and was unwilling to completely leave Russia behind, but he did come stay for about a year. That year the kids lived well since their grandfather spoiled them with his money and gifts. Vladimir loved his grandchildren.
Soon after Vladimir left for Russia, Vera got to work. Savin had happily ratted out Yuri and told her all about how the boy had told the authorities that she was a horrid mother. Savin filled his mother's head with all sorts of things that made her despise Yuri all the more and in the late hours of the night she attempted to smother her third born child. Lev, Mishka, Toma, and Yuri all shared a room, but Vera didn't seem to care. Mishka had cried for his father to come and help and Lev had tried to drag his mother away from his brother. Timur had had enough and so had the authorities. Vera was sent to Azkaban and normality slowly flowed back into the family. Timur was able to afford things like better robes for the children and buy Toma and Mishka good wands for their first year. Without Vera in the picture, life was seemingly better and Mishka found it a lot easier to go about his daily life without having to worry about whether he was going to do something to upset his mother. He looks forward to starting Hogwarts this year. It will be a nice change in his life.
