OVERALL PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Lucia is quite short and rather chubby. Despite this she is still well presented and graceful. She doesn't smile often because her teeth are quite crooked. She's always been told she is very beautiful by her mother, who also would tell her sisters they were not great beauties and Bernadette was the lucky one, despite her teeth.



NON-MAGICAL SKILLS:
Lucia can read and write, paint, draw and plays the piano and sings. She is good at crossstich and other sewing but doesn't like it, and also is very fond of pottery but has little opportunity to practice.
Lucia has a gift for memory. She is good at spotting small details and remembering exact conversations. 'Like a photograph' people told her. She can count cards in games of poker and never loses; on the occasions she is allowed to play.
She can also speak and write Hindi as well as English. The family often visit India over the summer.

MAGICAL SKILLS: She is good at Charms and her spell work is passable in transfiguration. Other than that she has few magical skills. She doesn't like to fly and doesn't know how and she has no special abilities. She does have an interest in making powerful friends to compensate.

BEST/WORST CLASSES: Lucia is very good at Charms and History, but not much else. Herbology is dirty and Potions is smelly, muggle studies is dull because she knows it all. While she is excellent at theory and will get all her questions right, and the spell names and wand movements come easily to her she just isn't particularly good at magic, passable though and she expects her N.E.W.T.s will be good because her O.W.L.s were quite good. She practices very hard at her spells, even for the limited results she gets simply because she likes being better than everyone else. 

WEAKNESSES: Lucia's main weakness is her blindly following her friend @newspapergirl. She's not a particularly loyal person but for the Slytherin girl who is very smart and independant, and who has a reputation in the school which Lucia wants to leech off (even if her magic is weak she won't let the commoners know that). She can also be neurotic and depressive like her father, as well as controlling and sometimes bossy. She's used to relying on handmaidens and servants for everything and expects as much from the general lower class. Se also has a predisposition for being vengeful and can set herself very unrealistic goals.

STRENGTHS: Lucia is very good at lying, she has a gift to make people believe what she says or writes and enjoys exploiting this. She also likes keeping secrets and is good at remembering all the juicy details. Lucia has a mind for politics because of her father and brothers and brothers in law all being politicians and likes problem solving and making strategy, but she hardly uses this talent for good Lucia loves drama and gossip and also likes to cause it. 
She is also good with numbers and practical problems, like mechanics when she has the opportunity to learn such things but has a good concept of space and spacial organisation she can walk from the astronomy tower to the dungeons with her eyes closed and often cheats people out of money betting on this skill.

QUIRKS & HABITS: Lucia is a very fussy eater, she is very allergic to all nuts, apple skin, strawberries and capsicum (bell peppers), shellfish including crab and prawn, garlic, cumin and rosemary. She also wont eat most red meat, onion, peas, beans or carrot.
She stays inside and is very careful when she does leave because she is also allergic to a number of plants including grass. She also is allergic to rats, dogs, horses and birds. Its often she wears gloves and long sleeves, and always has a handkerchief with her.

OVERALL PERSONALITY DESCRIPTION: Lucia is very careful and calculating. She hasn't had much luxury of being a normal child with a normal home life or even a normal school life so she taught herself to be well prepared, she steals and saves what money she can from her parents, she tries to find herself a wealthy, handsome suitor, she remembers debts people owe her.
She aims to be independent and powerful and wealthy but knows she cannot achieve that by herself - though the women's suffrage movement gives her a little hope. She plays to her skills and isn't often frustrated or flustered.

PET: A "Cat" named Osiris. Its a nasty thing, has a distinct 'holier than thou' attitude. Usually off killing small rodents when its not sleeping on her bed. She talks to it like its a king. Rescued the freaky thing from a bin in India one day and thought he was sweet. Its isn't determined if she isn't allergic to cats or isn't allergic to him because he has no fur.


CHARACTER HISTORY:

In 1854 Lord Robert Cecil was first elected to the House of Commons  as Secretary of State for India. In 1857 he married Lady Georgina Charlotte Gascoyne, defying his father as she was only the daughter of a judge and below his station. They married for love and would have eight children.

Lord Robert resigned in 1867 but a year later, after the death of his father he was elevated to the House of Lords, he worked his way up until the present where he is now the coalition leader in the Salisbury Parliament.   

The Cecils have eight children of nine live past infancy.
Beatrix is the oldest, born in 1858 and is now married, two years later Gwendolen was born. A year later their first boy and the heir to Salisbury, James was born. His little brother william was born two years later, and Robert a year later again.
In 1865 Fanny was born but died in 1867 three months before Edward and Brenadette, paternal twins, were born.
The twins came at a time the family were still in morning, and the girl was only small and very sickly upon her birth, they both arrived early and the doctors said Bernadette would be lucky to live.
She did live, and grew to be quite the interesting child, they found she had many severe allergies though she was such a pretty little girl. She doted on her little brother Hugh when he arrived and her and Edward were always very close. when she was four years old very strange things would happen around her, namely whenever anyone tried to feed her anything with nuts in it the food would explode. While the English royal family knew of magic and even had wizards in their employ they didn't let all the lords and ladies privy to it. Bernadette's parents had her checked by every doctor who would see her, until a male nurse one day told them she was simply a witch. He said she would receive a letter to go to a school to teach her magic and The lord and lady of Sailsbury thought that was excellent.

Bernadette was kept to her room, the usually sickly girl was always now believed to be unwell, her family knew otherwise, her family were told what she was, all her siblings but for little Hugh forsook her, even her twin. But on her eleventh birthday when the letter arrived, the papers printed news of her death and shortly after she was sent to Hogwarts with the name Lucia Gabby Cecil so no one might know she was the daughter of a Lord.

Before they knew she was a witch, when she was just very unwell her parents doted on her. They were a very generous and kind couple and wished only their children would want for nothing, she was provided for, she had a place to stay in the summer. But since then, the longer she attended school summers have gotten colder at their estate until this summer, before her final year when her father made it clear to her she was not to return home, or the lie of her death would become true.

Bernadette knows she should be sad or frightened, but her family, except for Hugh who always insisted she write, make her angry. She's been saving money since she was eleven in case this happens and plans to use her magic to steal their land, wealth and all of Salisbury out from under them.
