The Dragon Clan
What is the Dragon Clan:
In short they're the ones who work with dragons and try to protect nature and it's animals/magical creatures in it. They're kinda like hippies, believing that everything has a purpose for existing. Often they try to prevent war and violence towards animal but if they can also towards human beings. Several members work at the ministry at the Magical Creatures and Beasts department to maintain good bonds and make sure there is work to do. The dragon clan studies dragons and protects them from humans and the other way around. They also breed dragons to maintain the natural species in a country. Another job is to go after people who trade in dragons or dragon parts. They'll always try to release the dragon which has been held captive and they'll to their best to make sure the dragon one day could live in the wild again. The base of this clan locates itself in Hungary, most of the breeding is done here. There are several small divisions. When one becomes an adult you chose a office which will be your main contact point.

The Mark:
The Dragon Clan Mark can be set by a welcoming ritual from the age of 15. This is a completely voluntary choice but it does help when you want to work with dragons. What it does; when trained how to use it, it can be activated and gives the wearer the ability to hear a dragon's thoughts translated to their own spoken language. It's an ancient runic magic and it must always be placed by the eldest female of the clan.
Place in society:
So this is something a little different than the regular groups in society. I fact they stand completely lose from it despite their blood status. Members can be pure-blood, half-blood, muggleborn or even be squibs as long as they're well enough trained and have done the intake ritual. That's why blood status is of no importance to these people. The rest of the wizarding society think that the people from the Dragon Clan are just a bunch of sect weirdos with dangerous pets. Joining the Dragon Clan can by some pureblood family seen as betrayal because that way they say that every blood status is equal, or that's what this group stands for. They don't judge a person by their looks or family, but just as who they are as a person. It's not as bad as marrying a muggle or muggleborn and the person won't be disowned. However the parents won't be too happy about it.
Life of a member:
The tasks differ depending how much you want it to be part of your life. Some only do tasks twice a year and for some it's a full time job. Members chose themselves where they want to live but some prefer to stay in the same village among others. A marriage in the Dragon Clan is done in some kind of ritual, closest to the pagan wedding. May a member marry a non member the marriage if often done twice. Within the dragon clan there is nobody really who decides who marries who. It also happens often that some members don't get married at all and by this don't have offspring. Lately the amount of members dropped due to this. In the Dragon Clan men and women are each others equal counterparts. So it happens often that a woman can make it to team leader. Teams often go in groups of five or smaller. Sometimes for bigger tasks groups work together.
