SKINTONE: Alva is a typical English rose. Pale with pink rosy cheeks and a fair few freckles during summer time.
HEIGHT & WEIGHT: Alva is still quite small – she swears she will grow taller- standing at five foot three and weighing only 95lbs she is a slight girl.
DISTINGUISHING MARKS:
OVERALL PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Alva is a slim and fairly short girl, she feels out of odds given her difference in appearance from the rest of her family. She has blonde curly hair which annoys her given that it is impossible to tame and she feels makes her look like a ragamuffin. She has green eyes that can sparkle with mischief and naughtiness but also fake remorse that manages to fool her parents when she is trying to get out of trouble. Her face is quite expressive, she is like an open book. If Alva is unhappy about something it is very clear on her face.
NON-MAGICAL SKILLS: Horseback riding, playing the piano, baking and cooking and being polite to grownups who she would rather not talk to. Alva is also a talented singer and a member of the church choir.
MAGICAL SKILLS: Alva believes herself to be very average when it comes to her studies. She is apt when it comes to potions, she believes that this is because of her skill as a baker and a cook that she learned from a young age. Unlike some of her older siblings Alva isn’t overly interested in her education, only wishing to do well enough to keep her mother and father happy.
BEST/WORST CLASSES: Her best class is potions, while her worst class is divination- something she feels is a completely pointless subject.
WEAKNESSES: Alva has a complete lack of drive when it comes to her education. She is fairly lazy which leaves her in trouble at school on occasion. She has a quick temper and is able to hold a grudge against people who upset her.
STRENGTHS: Alva is a charismatic girl, she is well versed at talking her way out of trouble both at home and at school. She has a trustworthy face and manages to upkeep her innocent and well behaved façade even when she is actually causing mischief.
QUIRKS & HABITS: Alva has a habit of playing with her curls when she is nervous. She likes to act the baby of the family since she is the youngest, often playing up to this she will act younger than she actually is and how she ought to be acting as a young lady.
OVERALL PERSONALITY DESCRIPTION: With a skill of keeping herself out of trouble Alva is a charismatic little girl who manages to keep herself out of troubles way, despite her expressions leaving her as readable as an open book. She is lazy when it comes to her school work, believing that her education is not overly important given that she will never work, but be married to a man who will support her when she is old enough. She enjoys being the youngest of the Stenstrud children, playing up to her role as the baby as a way of being close to her father and being his ‘little girl’. She is jealous of the relationship between her father and eldest sister Laila and holds a grudge against the older girl and hopes to outdo her sister in her father affections.

CHARACTER HISTORY: Alva is the youngest born of the Stensrud family. They descent from a Norwegian royal family but have moved to the UK to join the Queen’s guard. Being the youngest Alva always felt that she was drowning in siblings. So many heirs before her, she was just another in the line of children born of her mother. She would never have the favour that her eldest sister Laila held, and therefore didn’t try to compete. Instead Alva played to her strengths. She was the baby of her family and vied for her parent’s attention and affections because of this. She was not as smart as Rasin or Lalia. Even Linny who was only a year older than her was much more advanced in her studies.
Instead of giving her attention to academics Alva instead focused on skills that would make her a good socialite and wife one day. She is a talented singer and often sings solos in the local church congregation. She has played piano since the age of four and like to think that she is very talented at it, on occasion she even attempts to make music of her very own. Alva is aware that she will be in an arranged marriage one day. Something that was very common for the time. She just hopes that her father will pick a suitable man who will be both fun and will allow her to cook and bake like she has been allowed to thus far in her life. Alva loves to cook when she is allowed, often helping in the kitchen, despite the fact that it is not proper. She believes that her learning to cook is the reason that she is skilled at potions at Hogwarts. It is the only class that she shows a real aptitude for and actually enjoys studying.
Alva is quite the daddy’s girl, and has been from a young age. Even when she was a babe she showed a favour for her father, enjoying the feeling of being held in strong arms when she was afraid of the dark at night. It was comforting. As she has gotten older she has realised that she has other siblings to contend with for her father’s affections. Namely the perfect older sister that is Laila. Therefore Alva plays to her strengths as ‘daddy’s little girl’ something that she knows Laila is too proud and ‘grown up’ to do.
