New Characters, Ancient Family: The Blacks

The Noble and Most Ancient House of Black 

"Toujours pur." 

—The family motto, translating to "Always Pure" 

They’re a very proud and ancient pureblood line. I’ll go through a few characters, the adoptable ones are underlined. When I give information about a character they are named in bold. When they're both adoptable and given info about they're both underlined and bold. Cursive characters are played on the site

Most of them are blood purists or just pretend to be to please their family, some only think they’re better but others really go further. Those are part of the Guardians of Blood, lead by Septimus Malfoy. A lot of them will probably get involved with Morgan’s plan of letting a Gaunt open the chamber(she'll be the one to tell everyone about this), the children could help and the adults might be part of the Guardians who talk over the Gaunt kid. 

For PBs you’ll have to look for characters with dark hair. Unless it’s someone married to a Black. 

I forgot to add some cannons connected to Cygnus Black I, I was too lazy to look up characters not that closely related and all have ‘possible’. 

Iordanus Black’s line (semi cannon) 

Iordanus Black(1807-1851) is the son of Henderson Bryant Black and Margery Crouch. He married Jeannette Eileen Prince before he died at a young age, leaving his wealth and responsibilities to his capable wife. 

Here we start with our first adoptable character.

Jeannette Eileen Black nee Prince (74)

about: Lost her husband when her children were still young. She became mother and father to them. She managed to make them proper adults on her own. She is a smart and hard working woman. She has a lot of power in both the Prince family as the Black family. The most slyest and cunning woman a Black has ever wed. She planned out their marriage to happen so she’d gain power. Her words are her venom.

their children: Cygnus Black I (cannon 1829-1851), Luvenia Black(1833-1852), Corpus Black(alive about 50, Max’ character she hasn’t told me his age), Georgianna Black(alive, 49), Louie Lorenzo Black(alive 46), Gerard Emanuel Black(1841-1882) 

 in short she is a sassy and powerful grandma.

First the eldest of Jeannette’s and Iordanus’ children:

Cygnus Black I (1829-1851)  

married to Ella Max(deceased around the same time) (he, his wife and children are cannon and cannot be changed) 

Their children: Sirius Black I(1845-1853), Phineas Nigellus Black (37), Elladora Black(34), Isla Hitchens(34, disowned) 

Note that Phineas Black is the current headmaster and used to be played by Melanie until she lost muse for him. You can use his old app to help yourself, but he doesn’t have to be an exact copy. pb used in the past: Garry Oldman (dracula pics)

Next up are the two only daughters. First is the first girl Luvenia Black(1833-1852), she always had been a very fortunate girl until her sister, Georgianna(49) grew a love/obsession her fiance Nomadeus Selwyn. She’d always been jealous of her elder sister who stole her spotlight. Which eventually lead to Georgianna poisoning Luvenia. Georgianna never was caught and was signed to marry Nomadeus Selwyn instead. They got two sons: Phillip Gordon Selwyn(31) and Stephen Selwyn(26)

Then there is Corpus Black(about 50) he is married to Chastity Prewett and they have 3 children together. Cade Anguis(16), Custos Black and Aranea Black. These are all Max’ so if you need info, ask her.

After Corpus we have another brother;

Louie Lorenzo Black(46)

and his wife Millicent Borgin(46). They’ll form the family which I’d love to see the most. Or atleast I’ll play some of them so… hehe. Louie isn’t first in line actually as the third son he wouldn’t ever reach the title as ‘head of the family’. However as his mother’s favourite son, he was given a lot of privileges in the meaning of money and land. Louie however doesn’t depend solely on that. He actually has quite respected job(can be anything you want, I’m just a little tired of the stereotype respected Ministry fathers, so why not let him have a high job at Gringotts or St. Mungo’s?) 

Millicent Borgin is the daughter of my Harold Borgin(Slytherin head and DADA Professor) and Blake’s Adelaide Ann Borgin nee Fawley(Muggle Studies Professor) she is highly ashamed of her mother’s interest in muggles. Often she tries to deny it and talk her out of it. 

While their marriage was arranged, they did know each other before getting married. They were fellow classmates and didn’t like each other very much at school time. However they met each other behind the mask and managed to develop a friendship and later a physical attraction towards each other. Both of them are very strict as a parent. While they spoil their children with gifts and small acts, they don’t show their acknowledgement easily. Of course they love every single child they have but they believe if you only tell your children that they’re perfect they become unstable brats which are actually useless.  

They had 5 children together, four sons and one daughter. Their eldest son is Horace Curtis Black(24), Charles Daniel Black(21), Claude Edwin Black(17), Marion Louise Black(15) and Anthony Francis Black(14) 

Horace Curtis Black(24): I’ve actually used him in rp before. He is engaged to Belvina Malfoy(23). Soph is going to play her once she is recovered. Many other Malfoys have been claimed so Horace will have a lot of plot with them. He has a pretty good job. 

Now about him: In public he is a very static and proper man. Often people say he is the calmest of all Blacks, he has a lot of patience but is still very cunning. He refuses to be around people less than him. However when it comes to the household, his engaged Belvina says what happens. He is completely stunned by her beauty and charisma. Horace is madly in love with her while she now only seems to see him as a good name to marry and gain wealth. 

Then we have Charles Daniel Black(21): He is somewhat the black sheep of the family(no pun intended). Charles is quite lazy and rather spends his time enjoying the wealth of his parents and hang around with his friends than preparing the adult life. So he has no job at all. His parents’ limitations to what was acceptable completely destroyed his motivation. 

Charles is asexual(he tried it in several ways during Hogwarts, he couldn’t get himself to feel attracted to anyone) so he has no real interest in women(or men) on the sexual part. However he can have an emotional bond with someone but he knows other people have expectations. So he avoids every conversation which is about marriage or children. 

Then there is @claude  (17, taken by Mel): he will be in his seventh year of Hogwarts next year. His personality is completely up to the person who makes him. He probably gets the least attention of all siblings due to being the 3rd son and his elder brothers are considered more worrisome. But his parents do love him. 

Next is the only daughter: @marion  (15,): She changed a little in time, so her personality is open for discussion. She will play a part with the blood purist arcs however. Marrion loves to tease people especially her brothers who will forgive her anyways. From time to time she is a bit of a diva and looks down on others. Especially those impure or lower of class. This doesn't mean she bullies them or is mean towards them but it is clear that she feels superior. This girl is quite talented when it comes to Charms and can remember a lot. Theoretical tests are very easy for her.

As last son and child there is @anthon (14,played by me): he’ll go to his fourth year after the summer. Anthony is born with a very bad immune system. He is told to stay away from everything dirty and risky. Thus he has developed a fear of stains and uncooked food. His parents also told him Muggleborns are dirty and carry diseases so he avoids them too. He gets sick easily and is often stuck in the Hospital wing. That doesn’t take away his love for studying, despite his bad health, he always finishes his school work on time. Anthony hopes to work at St. Mungos in the future so he can find a cure for his condition. But his parents say it’s only risky.

Last there is Gerard Emanuel Black(1841-1882) he never married as he was the youngest and his parents gave up on finding him a partner. Instead he served as a hitwizard who got killed in combat
