OVERALL PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Egbert is average height and weight for his age. He has blond hair and blue eyes with a round face and somber look. His smile is what one would call a social smile, a smile that is somewhat fake, yet polite in order to keep the peace. He wears fitting clothes that are comfortable, but never overdoes it. He doesn't like to show off and be flashy. He finds it to be tasteless. 
NON-MAGICAL SKILLS: Egbert has no natural talent. He lacks in many skills, but it has not stopped him from trying to find a hobby. He has attempted many things, but the only true talent he has is the simple mastery of upperclass leisure activities, such as hunting game (he takes no pleasure in killing things), he also likes archery and fishing.
MAGICAL SKILLS: He hasn't shown much magical talent. Charms is about the only magical thing he can manage, but his grades are average in the class. Potions is about the only thing he hasn't managed to fail in. If anything, he thinks it is pure luck, but he's got serious talent for it. He can mentally figure out all the proper ingredients without referencing the books repeatedly. He doesn't have photographic memory, but there's something about Potions. Once he finds out that he has true talent for him, his future will look a little brighter. He's got the untapped talent for being a future Potions Master and he doesn't even realize it.
BEST/WORST CLASSES: Egbert's best classes are Potions, History of Magic, and Charms. He also secretly likes Muggle Studies and Herbology, but refuses to take Muggle Studies for fear he'll receive backlash for it. He often sneaks into the library to read books about muggles, but will never in a million years check it out of the library or openly admit his interest. As for Herbology, he believes that it is something women should have an interest for, so he purposely gets lower grades. His worst classes are DADA, for he cannot draw his wand quick enough for he has slow reaction time and the spells are difficult. Transfiguration also leaves him with doubts. He can't grasp the concept and Astronomy is boring.
WEAKNESSES: Egbert is a very shy boy. He doesn't possess the confidence that the others of his family possess and this in turn makes him feel insecure about himself. He worries about himself not being good enough. The recent death of his eldest brother has left him in a state of grief and he often wonders how long he will survive. His fears are overpowering and consuming. He tries not to show his insecurities, but it's difficult since he feels isolated. He fears that if anything ever happened to him, no one would care.
STRENGTHS: Looking past his insecurities, Egbert has a very open mind and is willing to listen to just about any opinion that is given to him. He doesn't dislike many things and he manages to smile and laugh even though he feels like it'd be easier to just disappear. Egbert knows his limits. He'd much rather avoid conflict and talk his way out of things and he's good at it, but he doesn't foresee himself being a politician.
QUIRKS & HABITS: While he doesn't have a love for Care of Magical Creatures, he adores his pet mouse Ash. He's had the little creature since he found him in Diagon Alley two years ago, so he often talks to the little creature and allows Ash to ride on his shoulder or atop his head.
OVERALL PERSONALITY DESCRIPTION: Egbert feels as though he cannot compare to his siblings. He sees them bathe in a glamorous light while he left in the background. He does not believe he has the capabilities to match nor surpass them. He is a very shy, insecure, and child who tries to tend to his studies in hopes that he can at least gain knowledge and make his family proud in one way or another. He has a fear that his weaknesses will hinder his family and his strengths are yet to be found. The ones that he does have he feels as though they are not enough. Egbert however has potential that has yet to be developed, potential that will eventually help him succeed in life. That potential is an untapped love for Potions and a skill beyond those of his year and he doesn't even realize it. This is due to a feeling of inferiority.

CHARACTER HISTORY: Born in Wiltshire, Egbert was just one of the many children of the Malfoy family. He was born a twin, but his brother, Gabriel didn't survive past the age of one due to an infection. Egbert remembers very little of him, but he will always feel like a piece of him is missing. With five older siblings, Egbert found it hard to find his place amongst his family. He thought they were all on a pedestal while he was at the very bottom, unable to climb his way to the top. With his father being a man of such stature he didn't feel very loved and his mother was strict, but he always knew she loved them. He admired his elder siblings and had concerns that his younger siblings would feel as though they were unimportant as well, so he would often spend his time with them.
As he grew older he grew shy and insecure. Egbert found comfort in very little things and with no natural talent, he often spent his time reading. It was the only thing that kept him entertained, but he didn't necessarily enjoy it. He went through a myriad of activities in his childhood, from trying to learn a new language, to trying different musical instruments, to magic. He just didn't have it in him. Egbert felt like a failure. Everyone was doing so much better than himself. He had fears of being disowned and his imagination revolved around the worst things.
At Hogwarts he thought he might be able to find his place, but instead he felt like he was drowning. Isolation wore heavily on the young boys shoulders. However, when things got tough, Egbert always had Ash, his pet mouse. It was always easier than expressing his issues to his peers, teachers, and family. Ash couldn't judge him. By the time he reach his second year, he felt like there was no point in going to school, he wasn't good at it, but he didn't dare say that to his mother or father. It's unfortunate that he doesn't realize that his good grades in Potions isn't just a fluke. He's brilliant in Potions. This year only Ammon will be at Hogwarts with him and Egbert is unsure how that will go over. He doesn't look forward to this year and hopes it goes by quickly.
