She has wrinkles that have come with age, but she is still an attractive woman who keeps up appearances not just for society, but because she enjoys looking like a decent human being. Her clothes fit the times and are always neat. If she is not in normal dress clothes, she is dressed in her wizarding robes.
NON-MAGICAL SKILLS: She knits, sews, and crochets just about anything that comes to mind. It is a leisure task for her. During the winter she makes sweaters and scarves and hats for all of her children and their children and sometimes makes a handful to send to the orphanage or low class children. She also cooks, but doesn't enjoy it as much. She'd much rather read a book, but she can't resist a new recipe.
MAGICAL SKILLS: Adelaide may be a woman, but she is a skilled witch. She has excellent dueling skills. In school she was top of her class in Defense Against the Dark Arts, and continues the practice today. WEAKNESSES: Adelaide is aware of her weakness, but she does not let them slow her down. While she is a strong and independent woman, she has a soft spot for children. She's far too empathetic for her own good and is always willing to go the extra mile to help those who cannot help themselves. Her family means the world to her and each it broke her heart when Marjorie never came home. She cried for weeks on end knowing her youngest would never help her in the kitchen again, or spend the weekend knitting blankets for the younger children.

While Adelaide was much loved by her mother and father, she learned very early what it was to be an Upperclass, Pureblood Witch. There was no room for mistakes, and while all was handed to her on a silver platter, she also had to work for what she was entitled to. She had to be a classy young girl, head held high, shoulders squared, gaze directly ahead. Her dress had to be clean and proper, and her mannerism had to be flawless. When he older sister went off to Hogwarts, Adelaide was both happy and disappointed. Cicelie and her had always been so close that it was strange seeing her sister go off to Hogwarts.

When it came time for Adelaide to go off to Hogwarts, she had been well prepared. A young blond with blue eyes, she was beautiful and smart. Adelaide had dreams of becoming one thing or another. She had the ambition of a Slytherin, the kindness of a Hufflepuff, and the brain of a Ravenclaw. The sorting hat of course pointed this out to the young first year, and she had no issue being placed wherever the hat thought she should be. Slytherin was ruled out and after some debate, Adelaide was placed in Ravenclaw. She was quite proud and the next few years would go by in a blur. She did excellent in her O.W.L.s year and N.E.W.T.s were a breeze for her. Throughout her years of Hogwarts she made close friends and potential suitors, but her family would choose who she would marry.
It was only after the death of a family friend's wife did Adelaide finally become engaged to Harold Borgin. She had been there for him through his loss, for he was a close friend of hers and that close friendship was enough to have their parents marry them. Adelaide was happy to be with Harold, and when she became Adelaide Ann Borgin, she felt overwhelmed with pride and joy. The man she married had a daughter of his own, but Adelaide raised the girl as her own, giving her the motherly love and care she deserved. Adelaide found strength in being with Harold. She could challenge him and he challenged her. They could talk about things such as politics and serious things. She could laugh with him and voice her opinions. She could not have asked for a better husband.
After their marriage, there came true motherhood as she gave birth to their daughter Aurora in 1834. In 1836, the day before Harold would get promoted as head of his department, Millicent Avis was born. In 1839 their first born son Clemence James was born. In 1843 their second son Francis James was born. Their final child Marjorie Opal was born in 1846. Adelaide decided after Marjorie that she was done having children. She had enough precious babes to care for and Marjorie had been so small and frail that Adelaide blamed herself. She did not wish to lose a child. little did she know that the baby she had prayed for on so many countless nights to survive, would be the first to go.
When Marjorie went off to Hogwarts, Adelaide became tired with sitting around the house. She had so much skills to put to use that she finally decided to become a Healer. She did just that until her precious daughter disappeared. When Harold quit the Ministry, she quite being a Healer, for she could not help anyone when she could not put her feelings aside for her lost daughter. When Harold brought home Elliotta, she'd raised a brow at him, wondering if this was one of his little bastard children. While she'd had no issue with the orphans he brought him, for she loved them all, she could not love the product of her unfaithful husband. However, she saw that precious baby and saw her sweet beloved Marjorie. Adelaide loved her granddaughter like no other.
She stayed out of work until Ellie started Hogwarts. In 1880 she took up being a tutor for children and then in 1882 she became a midwife. Last year in 1883 she decided that she wanted to teach and be close to Harold and Ellie, so she took up the Muggle Studies position. This will be her second year and she will not have any of this blood purity nonsense.
