Hogwarts Gazette and Welcoming Email

Currently the school newspaper is managed by @newspapergirl. Correct me if I'm wrong, Julia. Like for the Prophet, students are welcome to submit articles or tidbits of gossip that will then be posted by Viola. Any student can send in an article, member of the newspaper or not. I was wondering if we might be able to set up a system to allow future students to know this? Also, perhaps a friendly announcement as a reminder to current students.

This ties into a bigger thing regarding the welcoming email upon account creation. I think it would be better if we catered to each character. Such as "Below are the best places to visit for child characters". Something like that. Can we individualize the email system or would it have to be a huge list regardless of whether the character was child, adult, student, etc.?

For the prophet I stated in place of a signature that one can message any admin to reach the prophet and have something published. I can as well narrow that down. It just isn't stated that it's me who has the account. Of course we can state somewhere that the same system works with Viola for Hogwarts?

As to the welcoming mail, I think at this point it's not necessary as it's just us on the site.

I love this idea... my Valentina works as a columnist so at least the publishing is good. If any of you plan in writing skmething that's gossip-worthy about a charscter, ask the person so we can g7ve more details about the character's background. Make the news juicier and whatnot. This coukd also pave way for plots. I love it!

What happens is, someone sends in an article to the Daily Prophet account and the article is then posted. I'd be very glad to see someone else writing in there.

I see what you mean about it only being "us" right now, Leo. That also made me think about how our 1 year anniversary will be coming up soon!
