Alexandria Wren Rinaldi
NAME: Alexandria Wren Rinaldi (formerly Hensley)
AGE: 25
SOCIAL CLASS: Upper-Class
RELATIONSHIP STATUS: Married
OCCUPATION: Obliviator
PLAY-BY: Pelin Karahan
BLOOD STATUS: Pureblood
EYES: Blue
HAIR: Medium brown
SKINTONE: Light
HEIGHT & WEIGHT: 5'2" & 105 lbs
DISTINGUISHING MARKS: Various bruises that come and go
OVERALL PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: The easiest way to describe Alexandria is graceful, though somewhat fragile. Her movements flow smoothly (though initially they did not do so, it took months and years of training) when she walks. Her overall figure is rather slender, resembling her mother more than her father when they were of the same age. Compared to other women her age, she is usually slightly shorter, if not the same height. She prefers her hair to be pulled back, in an up-do, or somehow braided and is a bit obsessive compulsive about it being done in such a manner. A lack of any of these in her hair causes her to become quite upset, and her hair being down causes her to fidget and whine until something is done about it simply because she does not like the feeling of her hair against the bare skin of the back of her neck.
Lately, Alexandria has looked almost permanently sad though that could be expected from someone who has been left in a marriage with a man who holds no love for her and doesn't even have enough care to show her respect by avoiding escapades with other women. In fact, the only time where she doesn't appear to be on the verge of tears is whenever there is a smile on her face. Even then, it isn't the same bright smile she carried when she was a year or two younger. Her eyes still hold a tinge of sadness and a touch of fear as well, even when she appears to be at her happiest.
To top it off, there are bruises which have started to appear on various spots of her body that come from the outbursts she has recently started to engage in. These are generally self inflicted, and not an accidental result of the fits she has.
NON-MAGICAL SKILLS: The ability to play the harpsichord. Needlework and dancing, recitation of Shakespearean plays and poetry. Like her mother, Alexandria enjoys maintaining the garden outside her home, which is filled with a plethora of flowers. She enjoys the company of small animals and takes it upon herself to look after the abandoned ones. In that way, she's rather good at taking care of animals and even small humans, when they need it.
MAGICAL SKILLS: Charms and Transfiguration were always her best classes when she was at Hogwarts. With Charms, she was adapt when it came to memory spells and once participated in a Charms Competition, in which the goal was to have your opponent forfeit without causing them physical harm. The Tickling Charm came in very handy for her then. As for Transfiguration, the art became less and less "hard" the more she studied and practiced the spells. Through her own persistence, she became one of the best students in her class at the subject. Yet those abilities seem meek in comparison to Alexandria's ability to change her facial features, something that earned her a visit from the Ministry and classification of a Metamorphmagi (Pending) at the age of two.
WEAKNESSES: Stubborn; when Alexandria sets her mind to something, there is simply no changing it unless she chooses to. She is very entitled, having been raised in love and care among a wealthy family. Therefore, she does not like it when she doesn't get her way, feeling that it is only natural that she should get her way. Having been taught to voice her complaints rather than hide them, she despises people who dismiss her just because she is a woman and young one at that; essentially those people who overlook her and think she knows nothing more than how to sew and dress according to the fashion of the time. Outspoken, she often found herself in trouble as a young girl by speaking when it was not her turn and saying 'no' to her father. Though she never thought herself to be so, Alexandria now feels that she is a greedy person, wishing not to share her husband with other women, to not allow him happiness when she is also denied of it. She is insecure, often worrying about her usefulness and needs reassurance that she's doing the right thing.
STRENGTHS: Alexandria has great dedication to her family and to righting what wrongs she may have done to them. Her mother used to say she was a very smart girl who would one day make her proud, and she aspire to earn back such recognition and compliment. She is very protective of her friends and family, and will happily tell off anyone from royalty to beggars if they give insult to, threaten, or bring harm to anyone she care about. Though it is certainly a weakness in the sense that she knows it, Alexandria is more intelligent and strong-willed than many women, and does not hide it. She refuses to let herself be walked on, which is why she often complains to her husband regarding his behavior in their marriage. Never the type to be told what to do like a child, she will give you a glare if you do and say something rather harsh in return. Naturally charming, she is able to converse with many people.
QUIRKS & HABITS: When she smiles with her lips closed, her smiles are prone to being half, rather than a full smile. Rather than laugh openly among a great number of company, she will lower her chin, a smile lighting up her face, spreading to her eyes as she giggles to herself quietly.
OVERALL PERSONALITY DESCRIPTION: Alexandria is a contradiction of a person. One might think she has a split personality if they saw how she acts in public versus when she is alone with her husband. She has got so much love in her heart but the thought of letting it out - showing her cards - scares her to death. The girl that smiles while telling you how much of a git she thinks you are before never talking to you again? That's Alexandria. If she likes you though, you get to see the girl that will go out of her way to see you smile or laugh whenever you're feeling down. Still, she was always known as the kind of person that would still be kind to you when she doesn't like you. Always kind, always intelligent, and a hard worker; so many males wanted her, saying that she was more than just a pretty face.
Yet in front of Sloan Rinaldi, as his wife, that girl - now a young woman - is someone different. A different face is worn around that man so that he never knows what she is truly thinking. She complains to his constantly regarding his behavior and absence from their home, citing how much better she deserves to be treated. Arrogant and angry, she treats him as if he is beneath her, like she deserves someone better as a life partner. She wants him to notice her, to give his attention to her, and love her. Her method of trying obtain those things, by shouting, showing jealousy, acting as if she doesn't care what he does - it is all counter-productive. But she can't bring herself to be kind to him when he never even tried to make their marriage work.
Realizing that to get what she wants she has to flat out tell people, made her more blunt and outspoken about her needs and dislikes. She dislikes a great number of things, some of those being: bigotry of any sort, people who insist on remaining ignorant and narrow minded, misogyny, people abusing and neglecting children, and married men with no respect for the bonds of marriage. Deceit, however, is perhaps the thing that angers her most. She does not want people to lie to her, to take her for a fool, for there is nothing more abhorrent, in her opinion. This is something she particularly dislikes about Sloan, seeing him as a perpetual liar. Or perhaps he isn't lying and she truly wants him to. She hasn't figured out which one it is yet. Maybe it is a beautiful lie she wishes to hear in order to lock away all the fears regarding the rest of their life together.
Out of all the people she knows, it is her brothers Reginald and Mortimer who are most capable of making her laugh, whether by impersonating their mother, or simply being silly in a situation you'd expect one not to be. If all else fails, Reginald resorts to tickling her, as she is so very ticklish; he knows this and uses it to his advantage. Alongside the jolly relationship she shares with her siblings, Alexandria is also effected by small animals. Once, as a child, she found a litter of kittens in her mother's garden with her sister Grace and simply didn't have the heart to keep them outside. Knowing her parents would not like to have kittens inside the home, she gave them to the servants to keep and feed. Whenever the girl needed something to make her happy, she would simply request one of the servants to bring one for her to see.

SIBLINGS: Reginald (45), Mortimer (41), Grace (35)
SIGNIFICANT OTHER: Sloan Rinaldi
CHILDREN: None
OTHERS: 2 nephews - Edward (27) and Landon (18), 1 niece - Bethany (24)
CHARACTER HISTORY: Born in late August, the year being 1858, Alexandria's birthday was nearly to late for her to start attending Hogwarts the year she did. She is the youngest child of four and the second daughter in her family. Close-knit and warm, she grew up in a loving home, never left alone. Someone was always by her side to speak with or play with. Then there were the days when she had to attend lessons; she liked those days the least, as the lessons were all on how one should become a proper lady in order to become a proper wife. It was what her mother wanted. She'd gone to her father once, around the age of seven, and asked him if he was going to marry her to someone in the future. "Only someone you love," he'd replied. Though the words were said after much laughter and when she was very young, Alexandria still remembers them well.
Twenty years younger than her eldest sibling and with there being a ten year age gap between she and her sister, Alexandria found that she was often given whatever she asked for. That is, of course, except for another sibling. Her eldest brother already had a child when she was born, with a second on the way. Mahlon and Gwendolyn decided together that it was the smart choice to stop having children now that their own children were having them. Though the question has never been answered, Alexandria has often wondered if she was a unexpected child, as it seems rather strange to wait ten years to have another child. Regardless of the true answer to that question, the older she grew, the happier she found herself in the position as youngest. It meant that her siblings had already left the house by the time she was in her last year of Hogwarts. With just her and two aging parents, it is very easy for one to deduce how she came to see herself as the center of attention.
She was courted by Gelasius Lovegood starting in her fifth year of schooling, which her father thought would be a distraction to her studies. To prove the man wrong, she devoted more time to studying, though Gelasius was usually with her. He was a year above her, and when he graduated, he disappeared from her life. There were a few letters sent during her seventh year, all from different countries, but she couldn't send a letter in return, because they never said where the young man would be next. Becoming frustrated with the boy who had once promised her a fairy tale romance, she tried to burn several of his letters. Her heart won out in the end though, and the letters, what remained of them, were saved, though locked away so that she would no longer have to see them out in the open. His last letter arrived on a day she had never dreamed of.
Alexandria's father had not kept his promise regarding marriage. All too soon, she found herself arranged to marry Sloan Rinaldi, someone she had attended school with, but had not paid mind to at the time. But the Rinaldis were a good family, her father said, and she would live the same life she had with them once she married the young man. Not "if", there was no possibility for an "if". Feeling betrayed by the first man she had ever loved, she was wed to Sloan Rinaldi with sorrow. Just an hour before saying her vows, she had cried with the letter from Gelasius clutched to her chest, his heartfelt plea for her not to marry and pledge of love for her all for not. At first, she was resigned to the relationship between she and her husband, seeing as neither had wanted the marriage. But she came to a point of wanting to try and make the relationship work after coming to find that she cared for his family. Time after time, she tried to coax him, even begging for a child so that they might have something in common through the child, yet she was denied of it all.
Unsatisfied with sitting at home, waiting for a husband that did not love her, she decided to become a useful person. It took months of intensive studying and training from the Ministry of Magic, but when all was said and done, she had become an Obliviator. Society may say it is not a proper job for a married lady, but Alexandria does not feel that she is truly a married woman. She will not see her life wasted inside the confines of a home, but feels that her skills are better put to use in the current position she holds. The current head of her department has even said that he feels she could be the next head, if she continues to keep at it. And she fully intends to.
