New idea for in character play ground

This one might fall under Challanges.
I often wonder what would have become of my characters if certain events didn't happen or took place in a different way. And I'm sure that I am not the only one. So I would like to introduce the 'What if?' challange.
It'll go as followed:
What if event X wouldn't have happened?
-Difference 1
-Difference 2
etc
An example would be:
'What if Benjamin Burke's innocence was proven on time?' aka he wouldn't have gone to Azkaban.
-His children wouldn't be little shits
-He'd still work as Head of the Hitwizard office
-He might run for the next Minister of Magic
-He'd be stable mentally
-Isobel-Grace and Brendan wouldn't have been vampires
-Cordelia wouldn't be in a coma
What do you guys think of this idea? I think it's fun to think about what would have happened in characters lives of mayor events hadn't taken place. This could count for back ground stories as well as in thread plots.
