OVERALL PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Like the rest of her siblings, Sonya is slight of frame, though not much shorter than her older sister. She attributes this to her vast knowledge; her thought process is that because she is so intellectually inclined, her body will grow faster. She enjoys wearing clothing with bright colors and flower patterns, and will incessantly whine if her mother tries to have her wear one of Cecilia's old dresses. Everything must be new for her. Cloaks are also a necessity for the young girl, because, as she says, "You never know when it'll rain." With her head hidden beneath the cloak, the first thing people usually notice about her are her wide, pink lips. Her eyes always seem to be filled with mirth, as if she is enjoying whatever is happening. Not particularly like her mother in appearance, nor her father, Sonya sometimes wonders if something went wrong with her DNA structure while in her mother's womb.
NON-MAGICAL SKILLS: Taking after her father, Sonya is fluent in both reading and writing in German and English. The young girl is currently in the process of teaching herself Arabic and Spanish. She loves wizard's chess, but only as long as she's the one winning the game. Humming and singing her own tunes to herself is her past-time and her mother calls her voice a gem.
WEAKNESSES: She has a temper, one that is incredibly short. If someone doesn't listen to her or angers her with their words, she is prone to throwing and breaking objects. Unfortunately, in her opinion, she finds herself to be very empathetic towards others. When someone else is upset, she becomes upset. This more times than not results in her throwing a fit to her parents. Sonya is easily jealous of others. This shows in how she views her brother Sebastian and sister Cecilia for being able to play piano as unfair, because her fingers are simply not long enough for the keys. Incredibly selfish, she refuses to be treated the same as her other siblings, wanting it to be strongly clear to her parents just how different and how much better she is.
STRENGTHS: Sonya is able to memorize facts easily and can recall/relate to situations. She always plays the role of leader when among other children around her age, being the one to initiate games. Confident in her abilities and intelligence, many adults comment on how 'adorable' she is, though Sonya herself finds this to be annoying. Academically, were she in school, she'd probably be able to skip two years ahead in schoolwork alone, due to her vast knowledge she already holds and great propensity for learning quickly. While she's rather smart for her age, she is also still a child and does love to tell stories. In this way, Sonya is creative, especially when she composes her own lyrics to tunes she hears on the streets.
QUIRKS & HABITS: Sonya refers to her father as "Papa", liking the term better than any other. In the same manner, she refers to her mother as "Mama". She frowns whenever she's concentrating on books and glares at others when interrupted. The little girl does not like to be interrupted when speaking either and has been known to push other children out of anger. She enjoys wide, open spaces, such as fields and likes to go through picking flowers out of the ground to bring home. Loving animals as much as she does, Sonya will beg and plead with her parents to allow her to take home an abandoned animal seen on the street or simply pick it up and hide it in her room if neither is with her to say no.
OVERALL PERSONALITY DESCRIPTION: Sonya is a very advanced child for her age. She thinks abstractly – that is, she grasps advanced mathematical and linguistic concepts and can talk about such complex issues as ethics, morality, and religion. The child also has the ability to perform mathematical calculations in her head at a quick pace, though this was something she taught herself, as well as recite the alphabet backwards in less than a minute. She is odd in the way that, at her age, she is able to concentrate intently on one specific activity for long periods of time. The girl often confuses her peers by using words they do use, for her vocabulary is large due to her reading books above her age level. Sonya prefers to spend time with older children, like her brother Sebastian, and adults, such as her parents, because she finds herself easily bored among children her age.
While a seemingly happy child, who is also bright and intelligent, Sonya also has a tendency towards taking out anger on other people, often times taking measures against others before they do something wrong to her. Her oldest brother, Magnus, does not like Adam, her kneazle, and she knows this. She's taught Adam to be wary of Magnus and screech whenever he's near so that she might come and rescue him. The animal is very smart and taken with Sonya; the girl would be devastated if her pet were to die. Very vocal in her wants, Sonya sees herself as the most important sibling, deserving more than the others for her very existence. She is gentle in regards to animals and family members, but not so much to outsiders. As a calculating child, she is not above using her young age and tears to get away with something or twist a tale to her own gain.

CHARACTER HISTORY: Born the fourth child of five, Sonya has never felt as if she were less important than those that came before her or the child that was born after her. Close to her Mama, though she gives the woman a tough time with her temper tantrums, she has often heard the story of her birth. How her Mama had been worried that it was a bit too early, while her Papa dismissed such concerns; and how when she'd been born that she was the most beautiful baby her Mama had ever seen. Of course, Sonya feels that her mother has probably said the same to her other siblings, but likes to pretend that she is the only one that was the 'beautiful' baby. After all, according to her, she is the prettiest of all the family.
When her Mama became pregnant during her early childhood, she was angry and refused to go near the woman, often clinging to her Papa and begging him to make the baby go away. Another baby meant that she would no longer be the baby herself, something which seemed to be stolen from her the moment her Mama had announced that she was having another baby. She remembered wanting the baby to die inside her Mama until the woman had reassured the little girl that she would still be her 'special' girl. But Sonya was not satisfied with words, therefore she would often stand by her Mama's bedside in the morning hours before the woman awoke and whisper to her belly, "Be a boy, be a boy, be a boy". When it came time for Mama to give birth, Sonya sat in the den of their home, her hands covering her ears so that she did not have to hear Mama scream. She hated the baby for making Mama scream. The first thing she asked her Papa after it was all over with was if the baby was a boy and she was very pleased to learn that her newest sibling was indeed male.
Growing up pampered with the clothing she wished to wear and the attention she wished to receive, one could certainly see Sonya as a spoiled child. She enjoyed playing with other children, if only to show off how much smarter than them she was through her readings and the studying she did when home. The children she played with would often call her mean names however, which would cause her to become angry. One incident with a bit of accidental magic had seen an icicle fall from a building, landing into another girl's arm. Adults in the area had rushed towards the little girl to help her and her parents had been called to lean over her in an attempt to calm her tears. Whenever they tried to berate Sonya, she began to cry, as if she were the one who had been harmed, until her Papa arrived. Running into his arms, she continued to make sniffling noises, but glared at the adults from underneath his arms whilst her eyes were filled with glee.
Most her days are spent inside reading or telling her Mama about something new she's learned, or with her father at his shop, informing customers of the specifics of what he sells, tempting them to buy with her smiling face. Sonya feels that she is ready to attend school already, and is rather jealous of her older siblings for being there, though she'd glad that they aren't at home so that she is allowed to dominate the household. She sees Cáel as something of a minion, or a partner in crime, and enjoys filling his young head with all sorts of knowledge, although his short attention span whenever food is nearby frustrates her.
