Vampires"Evil creature that roams the night feeding on the blood of living beings. Cannot go out in the daylight." Vampires in the wizarding world are very similar to the vampires the muggles fear. They survive off blood, although they can eat food as well, and cannot got out in daylight. Their bloodlust consumes them and it's difficult for them to be around humans without temptation. Vampires also have an aversion to garlic, although it won't kill them. They appear very pale, with dark circles around their eyes. Their teeth are fanged to pierce the skin of a humans neck. They don't feed off animals, only humans. Vampires are also immortal and can live until they are killed. You can kill a vampire with fire or a stake to the heart. Half-Vampires It has been known that humans can breed with vampires but it's very uncommon. As stated above, vampires are consumed by their bloodlust and it would be incredibly difficult to control themselves during the act. Having any relationship with a human is pretty unheard of, although it does happen on a rare occasion. Half-Vampires would still survive off blood but not have the same lack of control. They also live longer than wizards but do age. How they're made
Powers
How to kill a vampire
While you can defend yourself with garlic, it is not lethal to a vampire. Crucifixes and holy water don't have effect and vampires seem even to be able to enter religious places of their former religion. The famous stake through the heart alone is not enough but the head would also have to be removed and buried away from the body. Some put garlic in the mouths of the vampire. This is the mayor way muggles kill vampires. Wizards prefer to use the sun
However what is lethal to a vampire is sunlight. They are able to go outside completely covering their skin at clouded days. However a single ray can leave a giant burn mark and these can't be healed. However a vampire doesn't have to be put naked in the sun to burn up, when their head isn't covered and by this their head burns away they die because they can't live without a head. The easiest way to kill a vampire is lumos solem, a spells which casts sun light. Other forms of light like the regular lumos charm have no effect. Another way beside sunlight is to burn the vampire, but this process takes longer and when not done right they'll recover when having fed enough.
Vampires also won't recover from werewolf bites because they don't have the enzymes which humans do which can heal these cursed wounds. So when a vampire has a wound at a important place see the neck they'll slowly die. Also note that veelas can throw fireballs.
So except for sunlight, fire, getting staked and the head removed and a werewolf bite on a mayor place, a vampire will recover from everything else. The killing curse has no effect(it has effect on half vampires however)
Blood
It's known that vampires drink blood. They don't have any reference for class purity etc for some it's a personal taste what they like better. However they don't like the blood of other creatures like goblins(tastes like mud), veelas(too spicy) and werewolves(tastes like wed dog). It's said that vampires feel overall superior to other creatures because they don't die of age(most won't get older than 300 though due to the many vampire hunts). Rules in the vampire world
It's illegal for a vampire to kill one of it's kind. The only exception being the punishment for this act which is death by exposure to sunlight. Beside their kind, they don't care what is killed. This is what sets them apart from all other beings.
It's not common to have vampires under the age of 15. The main reason is that they'll always need someone to take care of them. Also they'll never grow up and thus become really frustrated because they do mature mentally. **Please note, we will not be accepting any vampires related to the Twilight series. I've read the books, I love them, but they're not apart of the Harry Potter world. If you try to apply with an animal drinking vampire, you will not be accepted.

Werewolves
Werewolves are half-human, half-wolf. They are infected with a disease that causes them to change into a wolf-like being at every full moon. It's an uncontrollable change that is painful and dangerous. They mindlessly hunt through the night and usually wake up with no recollection of the night before. At all other times throughout the month, they live as a human and could pass off as one easily. The only telltale signs of their infection would be the pallor skin close to the full moon and aging prematurely. The constant change between human and being takes a hard toll on the body and they grey much faster than a normal human. Lycanthropy is a magical illness known to be spread by contact between saliva and blood. When a transformed werewolf bites a human, the bitten will become a werewolf themselves. However, when a werewolf in it's human form bites another human it will only give the human lupine tendencies; ex. a likeness of rare meat. The werewolf infection does not pass in the genes. Therefore there is no such thing as a half-werewolf. Physical attributes of werewolves in their wolf form include a short snout, enlongated body and limbs, and clawed paws. Their body is almost entirely covered in hair that sheds at the end of the night. When in human form

VeelasVeelas are semi-human, semi-magical humanoids, similar to the sirens of Greek Mythology. They are known for appearing as young, beautiful humans. Their looks are completely entrancing to men and which causes them to perform strange actions in order to get nearer to the creatures. Veela are thought to have their own type of magic which does not require a wand. However, when they are angry they resemble Harpies: their faces turn into cruel-beaked bird heads while long scaly wings burst from their shoulders, and they can launch balls of fire from their hands.
Veela hair has a magical substance and is often used as wand cores. However, if a single Veela hair is plucked the Veela can die or become disfigured. Their hair is usually blonde, almost white as their pale skin. Their eyes are generally blue in color. And their beauty is astounding. Breeding with Humans Veela have been known to breed with wizards, creating half-Veelas who don't have quite the same power as a full fledged Veela but have the extraordinary beauty. The Charm When a person is under the charm for the first time they’ll experience dizziness at first and after the charm. When someone is under the charm for quite some time or quite often it’ll take less effect. Some with a strong will are resistant.
The charm affects the sexual part in a person’s brain making the victim fall in a fake love/obsession. It’s like a trance they have some control over their body but their lust takes the lead.
The charm is done by the Veela dance or singing certain songs all taught by their parents. The charm only works while in their 'Human form'
This however makes it a little difficult on some parts.
So has the charm of a female Veela effect on: straight men, bi men, bi women and gay women, poly-sexual people, pan-sexual people. But not on gay men, straight women or asexual people.
The charm of a male Veela has effect on: straight women, bi women, gay men, bi men, poly-sexual people, pan-sexual people. But not on gay women, straight men or asexual people. Male and Female Veelas It's known there to be male and female veelas. While it's never known if the male veelas are able to use the charm or have the harpy form we say on this forum that they do. What they can do in their Harpy formLaunch fireballs(they can't do this in their human form), fly, their faces turn bird like and become cruel-beaked. This form is mainly used as defense but a veela's are fickle and get angry quite fast.
