Reason why it should be approved: With his good looks, serious expression, and cynicism that often helps him be logical and sort through thoughts and speeches of people around him, he would be a great Prefect to his peers and those younger than him. He would be able to get them all in line and follow rules set by their Head of House. With his quick-mind and bluntness, it would be easy to have the Slytherins understand when they are being told off to bugger off and behave before he or the older prefects would interfere and give a heavier punishment to the offender. And lastly, since he is is level-headed and self-disciplined, it would be a prime example to the others and be proof that they ought to listen to him.

Position applying for: Prefect
Reason why it should be approved: Magdalena is not a very bright student, meaning she doesn't succeed in all her classes. She's horrible at Potions, but she is kind and caring. She has a great deal of patience, which would enable her to handle younger kids playing about. Oddly enough, she's got a knack for telling when a person is lying, which would come in very useful when dealing with any students out and about where there not supposed to be or doing something wrong. With a positive outlook, she can be a very helpful guide for younger students, or a shoulder to lean on for those her age and perhaps older. She follows the rules, though that is not to say that she wouldn't let someone go for a minor incident if she felt sympathy for that person. Even though she's soft-hearted, courage resides within her heart and she can and will stick up for herself/others when the need arises.

Reason why it should be approved: Renee may be a really sweet girl, but she's level headed and rarely cares to argue. She is far from shy, is terrified of failing, so she makes to get the job done, and believes in following the rules, although she'll make it a point to let you know that she doesn't believe in the way men and women are looked at in society. She will happily lend a helping and believes that everyone deserves an equal chance.
