Julien Luca Blackwood II
NAME: Julien Luca Blackwood II
AGE: 17 (26th of December)
SOCIAL CLASS: Upper-class
RELATIONSHIP STATUS: Single
PLAY-BY: Cameron Bright
BlOOD STATUS: Pureblood
EYES: Oval, wide, stormy green-grey
HAIR: Black, short, curls at the back
SKINTONE: Slightly tanned, small amount of freckles
HEIGHT & WEIGHT: 6'2, 64 kg
DISTINGUISHING MARKS: Scar across his right hand, thin but noticeable. Has a black tattoo of a spiral that goes up his left arm from his elbow to his shoulder.
OVERALL PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION:
He's more lean than muscular though he can certainly throw a good punch. His eyes are the most noticeable thing about him; they are unreadable and mysterious. He's got good posture but makes sure to walk with a slight swagger. He's handsome with quite angular features (from his french heritage) and slight stubble, and he knows it.
NON-MAGICAL SKILLS:
He's very good at impersonating others, but doesn't do it for laughs. He's very perceptive, a talent that often startles others. He can dance amazing well and loves doing so, but pretends he hates it. He's also fluent in French and knows basic Latin. He's good in precarious situations; be that a fall out between two close friends or a duel to the death; he actually enjoys the adrenaline rush.
MAGICAL SKILLS:
He has a proclivity for flamboyant magic; flashy charms and particularly difficult potions but his real talent lies in Astronomy. He prefers to go out of his way to do complicated magic that will get him attention rather than a less difficult spell that would get him the same results.
BEST/WORST CLASSES:
Best: Astronomy
Worst: Used to be History of Magic but he dropped it at the end of his fifth year and so now is most probably Arithmancy
WEAKNESSES:
Becomes very emotionally attached to people easily and very easily heartbroken for the same reason, though he doesn't show it either way.
He doesn't know how to do anything domestically (it was at the insistence of his father that he took Arithmancy in order to learn maths), not that he has any intention of settling down anyway.
He's a rebel in the family, not against their beliefs but more their very home-centered way of doing things which means he doesn't have the best relationship with his father, and therefore his connections.
He's not the best diplomatist; he does all his talking with his wand or his fist.
STRENGTHS:
Good at hiding his emotions.
Excellent at making quick, good decisions in times of peril; he's good in a fistfight or a duel.
He's very determined and won't give up on anything, especially if the something doesn't want him.
QUIRKS & HABITS:
He has the habit of sucking his cheek inside his mouth when he's concentrating. He also likes fiddling with his coins; he's perfected rolling them in-between his fingers, a quirk that never fails to anger those with less money than him. He constantly keeps records of the night sky even when it's not an assigned task. He always makes up lies for absolutely no reason other than the lie amuses him. These lies often get him into trouble. He'll never move out of the way of another person meaning they have to dodge to avoid being hit by his tall frame. His regular stance is with his hand near his hip where he stores his wand.
OVERALL PERSONALITY DESCRIPTION:
Julien is generally cocky, infuriating and too bloody handsome for his own good. Most of the words that come out of his mouth are sarcastic or mocking; he hardly has a kind word for anyone. He's not likely to hex a first-year but neither is he likely to help one up if they'd fallen. He has a low tolerance for romance, and hates feeling romantic inclinations towards anyone though he's more than happy to ruin a poor girl's virtue by giving her false promises. He'll deny feeling anything that makes his reputation even the slightest bit false.
He gets mostly good grades (motivated by his father's threatening to cut him out of the inheritance) but is too chilled to ever really get into school work. All his friends are constantly unsure whether he actually likes any of them. He's mysterious, which just adds to his allure, and parts a crowd wherever he goes. He's not a leader; he prefers to stay on everyone's side until the last minute and even then his loyalty is questionable.

SIBLINGS: Christian Blackwood III (21), International Confederation of Wizards

CHARACTER HISTORY:
Julien was born into the highly influential Blackwood family as their second and final son, as Sophia died upon giving birth to him. While both his father and brother tried not to blame him for it, they both failed slightly, making Julien always feel a little left out. His father also praised Christian all the time, which kick-started Julien's want to rebel. However, Julien and Christian are very close, despite their differences, and often plot secret trips round the world that they'd take if they ever had the chance. His family is originally from France but the last three generations of Blackwoods have all lived in England, barring one Uncle who still lives there.
Julien lived in luxury; though his father never bought him more than what he needed, what he did buy him was of the most expensive quality. He lived in a small mansion in Yorkshire but hated the accent there so changed his to the more interesting Irish one when he got to Hogwarts, which confused many people who heard the two brothers conversing. He showed magical ability even younger than his brother had, though his father failed to notice (not intentionally he just usually avoided his youngest son). By then he was already good at reading people, and therefore manipulating them into doing what he wanted, being able to pull off whatever personality would suit them best.
When Julien was ten he walked into his father's library in time to stumble onto his father's drunken rage. He was entirely shocked for he'd never seen his father have more than a single glass of wine at dinner parties, but then he'd never seen his father on his birthday/ his mother's anniversary of death before. His father was using slashing charms on the books closest to him and Julien's hand got a little too close.
His brother patched him up when he found him and the next morning when their father asked blearily what had happened, there was a silent agreement to lie about where Julien's injury had come from.
He'd quickly and easily gained popularity when he'd joined Hogwarts; he was the ultimate cool cat and although he didn't outright lead his group (he left that to his closest friend) the leader was loyal only to him, which really made him the King of the Pack. He passed all his OWLs though his father was very disapproving about the only Acceptable he'd gotten in History of Magic; Christian had got all Exceeds Expectations and Outstandings.

ROLEPLAY SAMPLE:
Julien had always loved the idea of scent. The world went on about the beauties of sight and touch and taste... And then once in a while would drop in a quick sentence on how nice the flowers smelt. Scent was always added as an afterthought; when a writer was trying to describe something it was very unlikely the first thing that would come to their mind would be the smell before the sight or the sound.
And yet, Julien almost always woke up to decide what the day would be like by inhaling the air around him. Most days his room smelt something like sunshine; his window was facing east after all, and then of course like males, though thankfully the latter was always a secondary scent. In the winter months it would smell slightly crisper, more sharp and clear, enough to make him get up straight away. Occasionally it would smell like sweat if someone had just come in from a Quidditch Match.
However, his room had never before smelt like breakfast.
