OVERALL PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Marion is very comfortable in her look, and has never been shy about it. She is not overly haughty about her beauty, but she recognizes her own uniqueness. Not only is she the only girl out of five children, but she inherited her mother's gorgeous red hair. When she was little, she received many compliments about her hair and it fed her ego just enough to be very proud of herself for being one of a kind. She is caught between childlike beauty and womanly femininity. She looks very much like a sprite or a pixie of some kind. She is thin and small, but has never worried about her figure like some girls do. She has long arms and fingers and blushes when she gets excited or nervous, or even from too much physical exertion.
NON-MAGICAL SKILLS: She has a melodic voice, whether she is speaking or singing. She is skilled at writing and reading, but not in sewing or embroidery. She considers herself to be funny, even though there are some times that her jokes are at others' expense. Still, she is not malicious.
MAGICAL SKILLS: She is good at flying and has excelled at transfiguration when it suits her fancy, as well as glamor charms in a pinch. She is working on cooking charms and building up her defensive repertoire.
BEST/WORST CLASSES: Transfiguration, Defense, Flying are her best subjects. History of Magic, Astronomy some of the worst. She gets fair marks overall and sometimes above average, but she does not consider herself to be the smartest of her age group.
WEAKNESSES: She lacks confidence in her school work, and tends to dwell on it and internalize her mistakes. She will lash out when she doesn't understand a problem, and be stubborn about trying to fix it. She gives up easily and holds a grudge against those things she does not comprehend as easily as others. She is interested in the opposite sex far too much for her own good and gets distracted. She has a bit of the fiery redheaded temper that is so classic, but she sometimes hides her emotions for too long before letting them out too quickly and all at once. She will pretend that everything is fine for far too long before letting herself break down.
STRENGTHS: She is not a worrier, despite her lack of confidence in some things. She has a deep love for her family, and believes them capable of anything because they are of a noble line, and how could anything be wrong with her family? That much is obvious to her. She is kind in nature and not manipulative, but is sure of who she is on a deep level. She is brave without thinking about the consequences, which can be a blessing or a curse.
QUIRKS & HABITS: Procrastination. Eating too quickly. Singing to herself.
OVERALL PERSONALITY DESCRIPTION: Marion is kind and beautiful to her friends and loved ones, but you cannot easily grow up in the Black family without some prejudice. She is not a hateful or manipulative person, but she does believe there is a difference in having her surname as compared to others. Still, she will always help a friend in need, no matter her house, and even if it means taking a risk to do so. She is not a rule breaker per se, but she also is no angel. She loves her brothers, and defends them no matter what...well, unless she is the one to tease them. For example, she is the only one allowed to pick on Anthony. If anyone else did it, they'd be sorry.
She is the perfect mixture of feminine and masculine. She is athletic, but dainty. She is very comfortable in her own body. She has never physically hurt anyone, aside from her brothers in random scuffles, but she wouldn't hesitate to smack someone if they deserved it or hurt her or her brothers in any way. She is a flirt, mainly to annoy her brother Claude, but also because she is drawn to the rebellious type. She hides her relationships well for the most part, but will throw it in her older brother's face if he ever makes her mad.
Overall, she is a complex character even to herself. Pureblood and upper class, but kind and open. Brave, yet timid when it comes to confidence in school. Sometimes she knows exactly what she wants and who she is, and other times she is as lost as anyone. She has a good relationship with her parents, but she worries she wouldn't if they knew that she wasn't the perfect daughter they thought her to be.
Oh, and she hates her full name! She only answers to Marion when it is her teacher or her parents speaking to her. She goes by Mary.

CHARACTER HISTORY: Marion is the fourth child of Louis and Millicent Black, and their only daughter. She is an autumn child and was always doted upon by many elder relatives. She was not spoiled, because none of them were. But things were different because she was a girl. Most of the time she enjoyed being the only lady, but as she grew older it became a burden and a responsibility she wasn't sure she wanted. Marion always had a fun, light nature until worries and stress made her upset and mopey for a day or two. And then she was back to her normal self.
When her younger brother Anthony was born, she took some time to adjust and acted out. But she doesn't remember that now, because they are so close in age and she was so young when he was born. Most of the time she is concerned for his health, but sometimes it frustrates her and she wishes he could just be normal like the rest of them. Every so often she will tease him to make herself feel better, but she always feels worse.
She likes to enjoy annoying Claude by throwing his so-called protection back in his face and flirting with the older boys at school, but she really is a good girl at heart. She has "relationships" from time to time, but they are not truly romantic. She will be sixteen on October thirtieth and she has yet to receive more than a kiss on the cheek from a boy.
She loves her family and her heritage, but she is more interested in having fun and being outside than learning how to become a "proper" lady with the Black surname. She figures that will come with time and practice, though her mother doesn't like her outlook on that.
